To add wings to children’s imagination and their creative writing skills, students and teachers of CMS Rajajipuram1 attended a live webinar by the celebrated author Mr Ruskin Bond The session turned out to be an enriching experience, especially for all aspiring writers as Mr Bond gave practical and useful tips on how to write intriguing stories.
In a session of about 35 minutes, the legendary author suggested on various aspects of storytelling, like how to choose the characters in a story and describe their appearance, how to use your surroundings as the backdrop, how important are the title and the cover page to the story and how an inapt title can almost kill an interesting story. He also emphasised on using simple vocabulary in the stories instead of designer vocabulary. He suggested the young writers can start with Short Stories.
Children loved listening to their beloved writer and admired his quick wit and subtle sense of humour.
