NASA KSC CUM USA TRIP



City Montessori School Lucknow paired up with “Vacations Edutainment” to send 66 delegates including students from over 5 branches on a NASA Kennedy space centre cum USA trip. It lasted for 13 days from 11th July to 23rd July. The main attraction of the tour included “Astranaut Training Experience” at John F.Kennedy space centre, participating in the celebration of the yoga day at United Nationa head quarter, meeting with the Indian ambassadar to the USA, Mr Akbar-ud-din under the leadership of Mrs Rupam Saluja who was assissted by Mrs Swarnlata Pal as the deputy leader. 11th June 2019 : The Delegation took off early in the morning accompinied by Dr. Mrs. Geeta Gandhi to meet the honourable ‘Defence Minister of India’ Mr Rajnath Singh.

12th June 2019 : After safely reaching orlando and checking into our hotel, the team left for an evening excursion in ‘disney springs’ where the students had the opportunity to enjoy many sports and riding a hot air ballon.

13th June 2019 : They were given the chance to see the cape carneval, they experienced a stimulation of ‘Space Shuttle Launch’ and saw the exhibits of apollo and atlantis series.

14th June 2019 : They were taken to complete the ‘Astronaut Training Experience’ program which included micro gravity stimulation, completing a space mission prototype, having a conversation about the space station and experienced a ‘Multi Excel Stimulation’.

15th June 2019 : All the members were taken to spend a fun filled day at ‘Universal’s Island of Adventure, Orlando.

16th June 2019 : The students were taken to the Universal Studio in Orlando.

17th June 2019 : The students went to the U.S Senate and toured the parliament building.

18th June 2019 : The students travelled to harrisburg where they visited hershey’s chocolate worldand shopped for chocolates.

19th June 2019 : The students toured the New York City, visited the rock feller centre and explored the times square of New york.

20th June 2019 : The students visited the ‘Liberty State Park’ where they saw the statue of liberty and visited Ellis Island. They went to the ‘UN headquarters to attend the international yoga day. They were addressed by the secretary general and by the honourable PM of India Shri Narendra Modi.

21st June 2019 : The team went to the United Nations headquarters to collect souvenirs

22nd June 2019 : Whole day was spent in transit including boarding a connecting flight at Dubai.

23rd June 2019 : After reaching the Delhi airport, they changed the terminals and boarded the domestic flight to Lucknow. In Lucknow they were welcomed by Dr. Jagdish Gandhi (Founder Manager) and various other principals including Dr. Mrs. Vineeta kamran.

Bulgaria Trip

Four students went to Bulgaria for an International Mathematics Competition who were guided by very adept teachers.

The event took place at the “Academic Nikola Obreshkov” High School of Mathematics and “The Alexander GeorgievKedzhakafalijata”. Team leaders as well as the participants went to various places like AquaeCalide, Lake Pomorie, Sea Garden, Roman Militia Outpost and many more.

The participants walked in a colourful procession in the Center of Burgas.


NASA KSC cum USA Trip Niagra Falls, Maid of the Mist

The Maid of the Mist is a boat tour of Niagara Falls, New York, US. The boat starts off at a calm part of the Niagara River, near the Rainbow Bridge, and takes its passengers past the American and Bridal Veil Falls, then into the dense mist of spray inside the curve of the Horsehoe Falls, also known as the Canadian Falls.

Universal’s Islands Of Adevnture, Orlando

Universal’s islands of Adventure, is a theme park composed of seven distinct “islands” that are themed to various forms of adventures.We started off in the Port of Entry and made our way through the various islands-Marvel Super Hero Island, ToonLagoon,Jurassic Park. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,The Lost Continent, and Seuss Landing. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, based on the popular Harry Potter franchise, is the latest entry in the Park.

Statue Of Liberty, New York

The STATUE OF LIBERTY (LIBERTY ENLIGHTENING THE WORLD) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States. In 1984, the Statue of Liberty was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The UNESCO “Statement of Significance” describes the statue as a “masterpiece of the human spirit” that “endures as a highly potent symbol-inspirng contemplation, debate and protest –of ideals such as liberty, peace, human rights, abolition of slavery, democracy and opportunity.


Universal Studio Florida, Orlando

Universal Studios Florida is composed of themed areas and attractions based on the film crew at work. The original show, and attractions inspired by popular film, television, and music productions. The park consists of eight themed areas – Hollywood, Production entral, NewYork, SanFrancisco, Dragon Alley/London, World Expo, Springfield, and Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone.


Visit To NASA Kenndy Space Centre, Florida

Adventures experience:
  • Special Astronaut Encounter Program with a veteran NASA astronaut, followed by a question and answer session.
  • This program gives students as uncommon opportunity - To spend an evening experiencing hands-on interactive exhibits and STEM –based challenges,all while space shuttle Atlantus floats overhead.
  • Guided tour Space Shuttle Atlantis with more than 60 interactive simulators and activities Educational activities and demonstrations.

Inside the Space shuttle, Atlantis, students enjoyed a team challenge, space technology simulations, and the real shuttle Atlantis.


Celebrating International day of YOGA at UNITED NATIONS on 21st JUNE 2018

For the First time a panel discussion on Yoga was held inside the United Nations Headquarter to primarily discuss the role of Yoga and meditation for tuning the career and day to day Life of World’s Youth & students. Speakers including students participated in the Yoga Panel discussion besides Speakers of UN, Indain Permanent Mission & Yoga experts.

Summary Of Visit Of Thailand Delegation

As part of an educational exchange programme, a nine member delegation of teachers from Assumption Samutprakarn School, Thailand came to CMS for training in pedagogical skills and interaction with the teachers of CMS Kanpur Road Campus. The eminent guests stayed at the CMS international guest house from 23rd August to 3rd September 2017.

Assumption Samutprakarn School (formerly Assumption College Samrong) is a renowned private Catholic school in Samut Prakan, Thailand. The school founded and run by the Brothers of St. Gabriel since 1979 is the thirteenth institution of the foundation. The school provides education to students from grade 1 through 12.

Assumption Samutprakarn School received the Royal Award Granted Secondary School in academic year 2007 and the Royal Award Granted Primary School in academic year 2012 awarded by the Office of the Basic Education Commission.

Assumption College Samutprakarn started its English program in 2006. It initially offered classes only in grades 1, 4 and 7. The classes grew every year and finally the program covered classes from grades 1 to 12.

The CMS teachers who mentored the Thailand teachers were Mr Kallol Kumar Mishra, Ms Chandini Awasthi,Dr( Mrs) Tripta Srivastava, Mr Brijesh Mishra, Mr Paritosh Singh, Ms Prerna Swaranjani, Ms Arfia Siddiqui, Mr Amit Tiwari and Ms Ruchi Agarwal.

The delegation met the school Founder Manager and eminent educationist Dr Jagdish Gandhi and the branch Principal and a pioneer of the Quality Movement Dr (Mrs). Vineeta Kamran . All the activities were coordinated by the Quality Circle head of the branch, Mrs Sumita Bhadauria, Mrs Archana Bihari and Mr Sijochan Antony.Souvenirs were presented to the visiting teachers as a token of our love and respect.

The delegation was accorded a warm welcome in the senior and junior assemblies. They observed the assemblies and were impressed by the proceedings aimed at instilling in the students the idealism to be the harbingers of peace in the world.

The interactive sessions with the mentors from 2.30 pm to 5pm everyday were an enriching experience for them. They learnt the correct way to make lesson plans and make their teaching effective and interactive. They were enlightened on the use of audio visual aids and modern teaching methodologies. Their queries were answered and resources were exchanged.
