Inter House Singing Competition

The WUCC auditorium was filled with the children brimming with enthusiasm and eagerness to witness the Inter House Singing Competition organized by Primary Section on 21st July, 2018. The two categories were - INTER HOUSE SOLO SINGING COMPETITION and INTER HOUSE GROUP SINGING COMPETITION. The participants prepared well for the competition and put forth their enthralling performance. They were thrilled to showcase their talent. Each child had worked hard to comprehend the lyrics and sing the song with conviction. The mellifluous voice of the participants rendering the songs captivated the audience and the judges alike. The jury comprised of Mrs. Asha Lalchandani and Mrs. Sonal Srivastava. The performances were judged on the basis of vocal skills, clarity, selection of songs and presentation.

Spell Bee Competition

Aryan Pratap Singh and Aryaman Pratap Singh of class IV-I excelled in Spell Bee Competitions at various levels.

  • Aryan Pratap Singh participated in Inter School level competitions of “Spell Bee” and secured 3rd position. He was also awarded cash prize of Rs 500.
  • Aryan Pratap Singh participated in State Level Competition of “Spell Bee” and secured 4th position with cash prize of Rs 500.
  • In Mega Finale of “Spell Bee Competition” held at Kolkata he secured the 15th position in IInd Category.
  • Aryaman Pratap Singh participated in Inter School Level Competition of “Spell Bee Competition” and secured the 4th rank with cash prize of Rs 250.

Entente

The ‘Entente’ event took place in La Martinier’s Girls College on the 19th and 20th of July, 2018. The teacher incharge was Mamta Singh Chauhan.

The students were highly exuberant in participation and did bring laurels for our school. Shreya Umrao of class XII H bagged the second prize in poetry writing competition, namely Versus us Versus whereas Geetansh Malik of class XI B alongwith Ananya Bajpai of class XII A got the second position in report writing. Ehsaan Chhabra and Prakhar Seth showcased their skills in robotics under the Race-O-Bots and stood second.


Independence Day Celebration

The National festival 15th August (72nd Anniversary) was celebrated in the branch with love, respect and dedication. On this occasion the Principal of the branch Dr. (Mrs.) Vineeta Kamran hoisted the national flag and greeted the students. She reminded the students of the great leaders who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. She emphasized that all the students should join hands and spread the message of peace, love and brotherhood. Incharges of different sections, Proctor, Headmistress & the Vice-Principal also congratulated the students on this occasion. It was a matter of honour for the branch that members of Head office and teachers from other branches were also a part of the celebration. Scintillating Inter-House dance performances presented by junior and senior sections of college were the main attraction. Dances presented conveyed the message of love for one’s country unity & peace.



Independence Day Special Assembly

A special assembly was conducted on 14thAugust, 2018 by the primary section of Kanpur Road campus. The assembly began with the school prayer. Independence Day was celebrated with unprecedented patriotic fervour. All students carried flags and many wore tricolour caps, wrist bands etc. to mark the occasion. Patriotic songs filled the environmentwith the feelings of nationalism.

An Inter House Speech Competition was conducted with one participant from each house. They spoke confidently on the significance of independence and sacrifices made by innumerable freedom fighters to attain freedom from the British Raj.

The highlight of the assembly was the Fancy Dress Presentation by thetiny tots of class I and II. They came dressed up as various great freedom fighters and leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru, Rani Laxmi Bai, Tantya Tope, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Sarojini Naidu, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Subhash Chandra Boseand many more.

Ayushi Mishra of class II-F danced to the song “Dulhan Chali” and mesmerized the audience with her performance.

Respected Principal of the institution Dr (Mrs) Vineeta Kamran graced the celebration with her benign presence and expressed her best wishes on the occasion of Independence Day.


Yellow Day Celebrations

Shades of golden yellow carry the promise of positive future. Yellow symbolises wisdom and intellectual energy.

Class I celebrated yellow day with fun and frolic. Focusing on the theme the teachers planned various activities which were conducted in a lively, vibrant and high spirited environment.

Students brought yellow objects to observe the ‘Yellow Day’. Corridors and classrooms were wonderfully decorated with yellow balloons . Even the tiffin were filled with mangoes, bananas, papayas etc. Thumb printing was done on the cutouts of pumpkin, sun, duck, papaya, mango, a bunch of bananas etc. They prepared beautiful toys using socks, balls and other decorative items. The children were thrilled to carry the toys made by them and balloons to home.
