UN International Day of Education

“Literacy is much more than an educational priority, it is the ultimate Investment in the future”.

Education breeds confidence. The function of education is to teach one to think critically and intensively. Founders of City Montessori School dreamt of educating the future generation born and yet to be born both spiritually and materially, CMS Aliganj campus II took a step towards materializing this dream by organising the first-ever UN International Day of Education, on 24th and 25th January, 2021. A number of activities were organized to tap the creative potentials of the students of all age groups.

Competitions like: Groovy Moovy Energizer for the pre-primary, Rhythmic Fusion-East meets West for Pretween, Weaving your Survival for tweens, Artistry- Art on Platter, Gen orators-Power of voice and Ensemble-the musical choral Composition. These competitions provided a platform to the students to showcase their knowledge and learning during the pandemic.

Weaving your Survival: Quilt your thoughts- The students shared their ideas of survival during the Pandemic along with showcasing the techniques of thread and needle that they learned from their family.

Gen orators: The power of voice was very well proven by the budding orators through their informative speeches and presentation/video making skills.

Artistry: Art on platter- was a delight to see the bond between different members of the family irrespective of their age as one unit. The creativity spoke loud of their love and understanding.

Groovy Moovy energizer forced everyone to relive their childhood through their kids.

Ensemble: The musical choral competition could not stop the spectators from swaying to the beats of tunes. It appealed to the ears and touched everybody’s soul.

Rhythmic Fusion: Broke the anthropogenic borders enforcing acceptance and embracing and respecting different cultures along with their own.

The program commenced with the warm welcome of everyone by our Respected Principal Ms. Samvida Adhikai focusing on the importance of education in life. The event was formally declared open by the honourable Mayor Ms Sankyukta Bhatia, in a scintillating virtual inaugural ceremony. A number of spectacular cultural events like: Aaiyo Re- Salutation, All Religion Prayer, Unveiling of the logo through a skit- King Midas and the true touch of gold, World Unity Prayer- A world without Borders, Tabata- Rhythmic Drill, Talkudrama- Talk show, Happy School- Musical Drama, Unity in Diversity- Harmonious Camaraderie and Qawwali were performed by the students of Aliganj campus II which were highly appreciated and praised by all. The congregation and the guest of honour blessed the participants to continue to raise the bar of the institution and realize the dream of its founders.

The gathering was enlightened by the words of wisdom from the founders of the organisation, Dr Mrs & Mr Gandhi, President and M.D. CMS, Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Dr. Sunita Gandhi and the Principal, Ms Samvida Adhikari. They congratulated the participants and wished luck to the contestants.

Day two of the event began on an exciting note with the contestants of the live event-Gen orators- The power of voice. They influenced everyone with their illuminating virtual illustrations.

The last section of the day raised the heart beats of the contestants, when the jury submitted the results of the online and offline competitions. The result in different categories was declared in a virtual ceremony.

As it is rightly said “Every end has a new beginning”, the event concluded successfully by our Respected Principal, Ms. Samvida Adhikari who congratulated everyone for their achievement and participation, hoping that the ripples set with this event would reach out far and wide, changing hearts and uniting people through education.

VIRTUAL SATSANG

Satsang is a beautiful medium that connects us with our inner worldCMS Aliganj Campus II took an opportunity to uplift the spirit of the people around them through the medium of virtual satsang in this trying time. There was a divine atmosphere among all who were present there.

The event began with a devotional rendition by the music teacher, Ms. Sarita Mishra, creating a pious ambience to all. The Vedic chanting by Oaj Gupta, infused divinity followed by invoking the blessings by the Almighty. The traditional lighting of the lamp was held by the grandparents of the branch to spread divine grace above all. The Principal, Ms. Samvida Adhikari extended a warm welcome to all attendees. The School Choir along with the School Musical Band filled the air with their musical, melodious rendition. The science of well being, Yoga was presented by the students to emphasize upon the importance of health. It reduces stress and improves productivity.

Spiritual teachers of different religions and from different walks of life shared their words of wisdom on oneness of God and humanity. They shared that religion is the central component of human culture, though in form and practice it’s different but the holy manifestation of God in reality is one. The discussion was mentored by Shri Vinod Kumar Agnihotri, Retd. Commissioner Industries, who personally invited the spiritual teachers to bless the students with the teachings of their religion. He enlightened everybody with the importance of Satsang. The spiritual teachers came forward on a virtual platform to enlighten everybody life with the light of purity–

Mahant Divya Giri, Head Mankameshwar Mandir appreciated the school for providing Divine education to its students. She also told the children the importance of parents and teachers in life through a moral story.

Maulana Jaun Saheb, spiritual teacher of Islam religion, appreciated the efforts of the school in creating an atmosphere of harmony through the medium of Satsang.

Bhai Manjit Singh, Head Granthi Gurudwara Gomti Nagar, was thankful for providing him a platform to educate and bless everyone that the best religion is to worship God.

Dr. Vijay Pratap Singh, spiritual teacher associated with an Adventist Church said that the biggest religion is to obey the Almighty with all heart and soul.

Sister Sony from Brahmkumaris emphasized on maintaining spirituality and positive thinking for all. She beautifully interpreted the real meaning of the most famous rhyme “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.

All Religion Prayer was presented through a beautiful multimedia presentation to establish this truth by the students along with their parents. The founders of the institution blessed the congregation of people and congratulated for the wonderful event. Respected Vandana Ma’am appreciated the event and congratulated everyone for their effort.




ONLINE FELICITATION CEREMONY of Pre-primary and Classes 1 - 4

A virtual felicitation ceremony for the students and mothers of Pre-Primary and classes  I to IV was organized by CMS, Aliganj Campus II on 23 June 2020 to congratulate all who excelled in the academic year 2019-20 along with their mothers who left no stone unturned in this journey of their success. Representatives of venerable management, Principals of other branches and community of parents via Google Meet and Youtube LIVE were welcomed by Dhatri, student of class V. 

 The ceremony started by invoking the blessings of the Almighty followed by a pledge for grandparents by the students of Pre-Primary. To shower the blessings of Maa Saraswati the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge, a soulful dance performance was performed by Nandini, student of class IV. The Respected Principal, Ms. Samvida Adhikari welcomed everyone with her inspiring words.

“Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together they make this world a beautiful garden”. To celebrate the accomplishments and academic achievements of our Pre-Schoolers, a graduation walk by our kindergarteners were showcased through multimedia. Thereafter the brilliant stars of classes I & II were encouraged and acknowledged through a multimedia presentation by showcasing their achievements for the academic year 2019-20. Result of Fathers Day competition organized by Pre-Primary was announced with a warm-heart and e-certificates were given to the students.

A virtual presentation on World Parliament was presented by the students of class V with the following agenda:

Impact of Covid-19 pandemic on education worldwide.

Steps taken to facilitate distance learning during the health crisis.

Students without digital access are at the risk of dropping out altogether.

Online education may transform the education system worldwide.

“Who you are tomorrow begins with what you do today”. The ceremony continued with the felicitation of the top 10 position holders of class III. They along with their mothers were honoured through a multimedia presentation which included pictures of the meritorious student along with their mothers, their percentage, position and title awarded to their mothers.

“Family is a place where life begins and love never ends”. To uphold the motto of CMS, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam a beautiful presentation on the bond of togetherness was shown where the children introduced their families and shared some of the beautiful moments with their families. Students expressed their gratitude and love through different activities like fireless cooking for them, singing song for them etc.

The students of class IV proved that excellence is not a skill, it is an attitude. The top ten position holders along with their mothers were honoured through a multimedia presentation which showed their percentage and the title given to their mothers. Last but not the least students for special categories- All Rounder, Best Spoken English and Full Attendance were also recognized. At the end of the celebration our Respected Principal, Ms. Samvida Adhikari invited our Respected Founder Manager, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi to shower his blessings and motivate us through his inspiring words. The celebration ended with a happy note and blessings from Respected Founder Director, Dr. Bharti Gandhi and Respected Prof. Geeta Gandhi, COO of CMS. The day of grand celebration came to an end and parents went back home happily with the students who know that all their dreams can come true if they dare to pursue them.

 




ONLINE FELICITATION CEREMONY of Class 5 and Junior

Mothers toil to see their children succeed in every sphere and therefore it is only befitting that their school should honour them. A virtual felicitation ceremony for the students of classes V to VIII was organized by CMS, Aliganj Campus II on 14 June 2020 to congratulate all who graduated with flying colours. There was an atmosphere of rejoice and elation among all family and friends who were present there to celebrate the success of their children. The celebration started by invoking the blessings of the Almighty followed by school pledge and thought on family unity.

The Respected Principal, Mrs. Samvida Adhikari welcomed the audience and rejuvenated everyone with her inspiring words. Thereafter, the top ten position holders and special categories of class V-A, B, C were honoured. They proved that hard work is the key to success. They were honoured through a multimedia presentation which included pictures of the meritorious student along with their mothers. Their percentage, position and the title awarded to their mothers were also showcased.

Hope can be a powerful source especially in difficult times. Today the world is facing coronavirus crisis, a pandemic that has changed the lives of millions of people around the globe. Due to which we started teaching our students through different virtual platforms with the motto “NCLB” and parents were pleased to share their feedback videos with us on the same which was played through a multimedia presentation which contained detailed information about the parent and child with a recorded video. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievements. Hope is the only powerful force of reassurance that we shall overcome this crisis. With this beautiful thought, the students prayed for the entire world to stay safe and be strong through a multimedia presentation of World Unity Prayer. The students along with their mothers disguised themselves as the citizens of different continents and prayed for the entire world.

The students of class VI and VII proved that excellence is not a skill, it is an attitude. The top ten position holders along with their mothers and special categories of classes VI and VII were honoured through a multimedia presentation which showed their percentage and the title given to their mothers. The students of the Primary Section, on behalf of all the agencies of UNO, like UNICEF, WHO, ILO , WORLD BANK and UNESCO, appealed to all the international governments to thrive together for the welfare and advancement of mankind to achieve and conquer severe health and economic challenges through a recorded presentation.

Amidst all, we took an opportunity to pay our gratitude to our fathers and grandparents, who are a treasure of the family through a heartwarming video. The video showcased a strong bonding between children and their grandparents.

Last but not the least it was time to applaud, enjoy and celebrate the success of the students of class VIII along with their mothers and students of special categories, who burned the midnight oil to see them succeed in every sphere of life. The pre-recorded presentation congratulated and praised the mothers by awarding them with beautiful titles.

The celebration came to an end with the address of our Chief Guest, Dr. Pooja Sharma, Assistant Professor, University of Lucknow, who happens to be a proud parent of our branch. She thanked everyone for making her a part of the joyous moment and congratulated all the students. The final curtain was drawn by the motivating words of wisdom and blessings by the senior-most parents of the institution, Respected Dr. Jagdesh Gandhi and Respected Dr. Bhatri Gandhi. The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation.
