“Literacy is much more than an educational priority, it is the ultimate Investment in the future”.
Education breeds confidence. The function of education is to teach one to think critically and intensively. Founders of City Montessori School dreamt of educating the future generation born and yet to be born both spiritually and materially, CMS Aliganj campus II took a step towards materializing this dream by organising the first-ever UN International Day of Education, on 24th and 25th January, 2021. A number of activities were organized to tap the creative potentials of the students of all age groups.
Competitions like: Groovy Moovy Energizer for the pre-primary, Rhythmic Fusion-East meets West for Pretween, Weaving your Survival for tweens, Artistry- Art on Platter, Gen orators-Power of voice and Ensemble-the musical choral Composition. These competitions provided a platform to the students to showcase their knowledge and learning during the pandemic.
Weaving your Survival: Quilt your thoughts- The students shared their ideas of survival during the Pandemic along with showcasing the techniques of thread and needle that they learned from their family.
Gen orators: The power of voice was very well proven by the budding orators through their informative speeches and presentation/video making skills.
Artistry: Art on platter- was a delight to see the bond between different members of the family irrespective of their age as one unit. The creativity spoke loud of their love and understanding.
Groovy Moovy energizer forced everyone to relive their childhood through their kids.
Ensemble: The musical choral competition could not stop the spectators from swaying to the beats of tunes. It appealed to the ears and touched everybody’s soul.
Rhythmic Fusion: Broke the anthropogenic borders enforcing acceptance and embracing and respecting different cultures along with their own.
