Virtual Summer Camp - Day 11
“The quality of life is determined by its activities.”
CMS Aliganj 2 Campus started the hobby class on 22 May 2021 with this thought and students actively participated to learn something new and innovative:
Pre-primary Section: Children encounter emotional, social, and physical challenges or conflicts, but with the help of a dedicated and intentional yoga practice that includes breathing techniques, behavioural guidelines, and physical postures can be incredibly valuable for them. Mr. Anand took Yoga and Zumba classes with the props like ball and pomp-pomp and few kids at home used spoons in place of pomp-pomp. The day started with few easy asanas like Cobra asana, Adho Mukhasvan asana, Vriskhsa asana, Child pose, Puppy pose, and ended with some relaxation exercises. He always guided and motivated students to have a healthy nutritious breakfast. He also discussed how a balanced diet can work wonders for them and boost up their morale. Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them to learn the sounds and meanings of words. To start up the day, Mr. Puneet Sharma started with the prayer of Almighty and then he taught the Eighth note of Piano to all the students. Kids also enjoyed the Notes on “Old Mac Donald had a farm...” and bubbled over with joy. Learning music can make a marked difference to the development of a child’s social, cognitive and communicative skills. Exposing children to music lessons early also helps discover their innate talent and help them become better singers in the future. Mrs. Sarita took a virtual session for tiny tots. She started with a “Hello World” song, an English song with different notes and lyrics. Art allows kids to develop their creativity which is important throughout their lives. By doing something creative, it allows for self-expression and this lets kids express their feelings. Today the tiny tots enjoyed having origami fun. “Artistic skills at display” Origami provided our little ones with wonderful “schematic learning through repeatable actions”. Budding stars explored paper folding craft with their teacher Ms. Divya Mishra which triggered their imagination and enhanced their creative skills. They made butterfly, flower, dog, jumping frog and displayed them with great pleasure and gratification.
