Republic Day Celebration

“The sanctity of law can be maintained as long as it is the expression of the will of the people.”

Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January every year in India with grandeur. It honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. CMS Aliganj 2 Campus celebrated 73rd Republic Day on/off-campus with full patriotism. This year the celebration began with the Parakram Divas (Birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose) from 23rd- 26th January 2022 focusing on celebrating the important aspects of our history and culture.

The teachers apprised the children about the heroes and the framers of our constitution, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr. B.R Ambedhkar, Sarojini Naidu and Maulana Azad who worked tirelessly to give India its sovereign, democratic status as a republic. The ideals of Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity, that ensure the nature of the state that is Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic were highlighted. Students dressed up as Netaji and spoke a few lines, shared his biography and enjoyed the quiz and interactive session on him.

The day began with the hoisting of our National Flag followed by the National Anthem and a few patriotic songs on 26th January and the staff showed their patriotism by joining on/off-campus with zeal. The young learners showed their artistic skills and made beautiful flags and drawings from petals, hand impressions, beans and rice.

The main objective was to make students understand the meaning of the constitution and their rights so that they grow as responsible citizens and build a world of peace.
