Robotics

Introduction

The world is moving towards the next generation technologies which involve Robots, Humanoids & smart-living would become a norm. Teaching robotics to young students throughout their schooling can increase their ability to be creative and innovative thinkers and more productive members of society. By teaching our students the basics of robotics, we can open a whole new world to them and exciting opportunities that they wouldn’t have access to otherwise.

Our School has collaborated with one of the leading company in the Robotics Education space Sirena Technologies to deliver innovative, world-class products to the market, designed and developed in India, thus leveraging a global ecosystem.SKIP (Sirena Knowledge and Information Program) is a unique and comprehensive education program that has been carefully designed to make learning effective yet fun, and in the process, fostering curiosity and creativity amongst students. The course is integrated with the school curriculum and is devised to cater to children of all learning levels ranging from kindergarten to higher grades.

In lower grades, students are introduced to technology where they study building blocks and fundamentals of physics, math, life and environmental sciences through simple projects. Higher grade students learn design and engineering concepts while working on complex projects. The program introduced in our school is devised in such a manner that they shall explore into learning complex engineering subjects like Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Programming as well in the simplest fun, and most efficient manner.

VIRTUAL CLASSES

In an attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, most of the educational institutions are temporarily closed. Therefore, digital learning management systems become the key & we are ready with the Virtual sessions on Robotics, AI & more...! We take this up as a wonderful opportunity for the schools to get ready for #21stCenturySkills. We believe online learning in these times is not just about content delivery, but also about feeling connected & providing students continuity of routines which we know(from existing research) provides a sense of wellbeing. These sessions will also be enabling students to pursue creative art and share them amongst the classmates & the wider world. Through one on one connections, teachers are also able to monitor & support their learners in more organised ways.

The idea is to have all the 3D design, programming concepts, mathematics & science related concepts, PCB designing , android development & Artificial Intelligence classes to be taken virtually till the time we have lockdown & have the assembly and hardware testing done once we have the schools functiona Once these times are over, I am sure the world will remember teachers & students around the world for keeping the younger generation going & taking care of their wellbeing in these unprecedented times too.

Pre-primary

Robotics is a production-based learning module. Students have the opportunity to create something tangible and make it perform the actions that they program it to do. Not a lot of fields combine creativity with engineering and technology—robotics does. When students are given the opportunity to create something interactive that they think is cool, their engagement levels increase, and they retain more information. You might be surprised at the things kids can create when given the right information and tools - that's the most beautiful experience our littles kids have.

Primary Sections

Hands-on learning activities enhance concentration and attention levels, because the more students learn physical skills, the more they want to continue being in the lesson. Not many fields of knowledge incorporate creativity and fun simultaneously. Studies have shown that robotics achieves both. In fact, students love to partake in activities in which they have full control, something that is possible with robotics. And when learners are able to do cool stuff, they want to develop more features.

Juniors & Seniors

With advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, driverless cars, and spacecraft taking shape every day, the present generation of students needs to be more prepared for technological changes than any before. As artificial intelligence becomes more prevalent in homes, schools, and offices, a little programming knowledge will help everyone understand how these bots work. Creating and programming bots is challenging. However, working through frustration helps students develop a never-give-up attitude. It imparts determination, which is crucial for any technological or scientific undertaking. Robotics incorporates a range of skills, and thus promotes a learning environment for people with different talents. If properly harnessed, it also promotes a culture of teamwork. It can even be used to help students who might struggle to learn in traditional classroom settings – for example, the Robots can help autistic students, and its main goal to bring everyone on board through modern educational-technology approaches in academia.
