Visit To Post Office

Postal services were and are a service that is getting lost in the fast paced world of digital age. Although its relevance has not been lost but for sure the frequency of usage has diminished. And for the children their rendezvous with this service is needed, to keep it alive and active. Moreover the little children learn and pick up things by seeing rather than telling. With this motive in mind we in the Pre-Primary Section of City Montessori School Gomti Nagar Campus I planned a visit to the Post Office for our Class Montessori students on October 31, 2019.

The children accompanied with their class teacher and co-teacher had a fun bus ride to a nearby post office. They were shown the post office premises and how various important desks were placed to ensure fast and accurate working. They were also shown the post boxes which created an immediate connection to the toddler’s minds, as they found it interesting how this box carries mails. They posted the postcards which they had written for their parents with a message. Postmen were also introduced to the children as delivery agents of all letters and mails.

On their way to the post office they were also made to identify the name of the things they saw on the road. As always the children learnt an important thing in a fun way, which is what the Pre Primary years, is all about.

Diwali Celebration

The festival of lights offered many reasons to spread smile and joy, which in turn gave the Pre-primary Section of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I yet another reason to celebrate and rejoice. The lobby of the Pre Primary section was decked up as a bride with Rangoli tobandhan war to lights and Pooja Platform intricately taken care of. The children came dressed intraditional Indian attire, with candles, kheel batasha, sweets and Diyas to decorate their classrooms and perform the Pooja. The Arti was performed by our Vice Principal Ma’am and witnessed by the entire staff. We at CMS under the able guidance of Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Mrs Bharti Gandhi are learning and performing to give our best to our families, our professions and to the society. We at CMS have learnt and imbibed the values of our social commitments and keep doing our part to the best of our capabilities.

Visit to Missionaries of Charity

October 24th 2019, two sections of Kindergarten, visited “Missionaries of Charity” as our monthly exercise. Children of Pre Primary brought kheel batasha, son papri, patisa, candles and diyas to donate on the occasion of Diwali. The children went there and had a different experience, where they felt a sense of responsibility and dependability. They felt how they should play a positive and constructive role in society building. They also learnt that how we the privileged lot have a heavy responsibility to heal and repair the hearts and souls of the downtrodden section of the society. They distributed the sweets among the inmates and shared their happiness with them. We were able to do what we desired, in the best possible way and best possible intentions.
