CO-CURRICULAR PURSUITS

The campus buzzed with activity round the year. Confidence of the students was boosted through activities like speech, extempore, recitation and reading held during the assemblies. Exposure was given to them through video conferencing on 'Freedom of Belief' where students of the campus interacted with the students of schools from different parts of the world. Students got a chance to showcase their talents at the Open Day in March and again in July wherein the pre-primary classes were decorated with beautiful items prepared by the tiny-tots attracting the attention of the parents. Students from primary and junior section displayed awareness through street plays on themes like save water, plants, unity and peace and projects on safety rules. It was a moment of great pride and exhilaration when students arrested everyone's attention with their novel science experiments which made the parents happy to see their children blossoming in the garden of knowledge. The pre-primary section was a splash of colour on 'Yellow Day.' Tiny-tots enjoyed the mango treat and paper tearing activity of making a mango-shaped collage on Mango Day.

Talented students of the campus brought laurels to the campus by winning prizes in various competitions throughout the year at all levels. Warisha Rehman of Class VI secured first position in the Digi Art (paint & brush competition) organised by Lucknow Public School during Euphoria - International Literary Fest. Enhancement of various skills of the students was catered through various hobby clubs on dramatics, environment, dance, music, fireless cooking and computers.

Namra Khan of Class VIII participated and credibly performed in the International level olympiad conducted by Humming Bird Education (P) Ltd. and won the gold medal. Utkarsh Mohan of Class IV completed Level-V of AMA - Abacus Mental Arithmetic Program organized by Abacus 'D' Maths Academy with 100% marks. Various important national and international days were celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Independence Day was a special occasion when investiture ceremony was held to appoint the newly elected student council. First prize winners of the art competition based on CMS Tableau were Mohammad Adil from primary section and Zikra Siddiqui from the junior section whereas Pratistha Goyal of Class VIII bagged the first prize in the poetry writing competition. Utkarsh and Hussain Rizvi won the first prize in the Spell Bee competition.

To strengthen the bond between different communities, to bring peace and unity around us, and to fabricate it, the campus celebrated 'Interfaith Week' and organised activities like sharing of meals, Interfaith Multi-Religious Peace March, street play based on the same and visits to the different places of worship. To imbibe the virtue of 'Service to mankind', the students collected articles and visited a nearby orphanage. Students from various schools and campuses enthusiastically participated in various competitions like mime, small minds - great ideas, flip-side, declamation and prance dance organized by the campus to celebrate 'Interfaith Week.' Aviraj Saxena, who delivered the speech of Mark Mero, WCW and WWE Wrestling Champion, in declamation contest bagged the second prize. In Prayer Dance, a team comprising Jaza Fatima, Sameera Tanveer, Zoya Ali Khan, Zainab Rizvi, Anandi Gupta, Amina Bano, Apoorva Khushwaha, Rima Saxena, Ayat Jafri won the second prize. To observe the holy month of Ramzan, a strong message of unity and brotherhood was sent through Roza Iftar organized at the campus. Pratistha Goyal, Jaza Fatima and Mohd. Abbas were awarded 'Special Mention Certificate' for their outstanding write-ups in Power of Pen contest. The Model class presentation provided inclination towards the process of learning, inculcating eloquence and boldness in the students. A visit to the Regional Science Centre inculcated innovative culture besides creating scientific temper among the students.

In Rhetoric Bards, the team comprising Aviraj Saxena, Ali Abbas and Urooj Fatima won the third prize. Rishita Anand of Class II secured third position in the event Ramp Walk at 'Symphony' organized by G.D. Goenka Public School. Khushi Saxena won the first prize in the 'Re-purpose It' contest in Group A at the 11th International Innovation Day organised by CMS Jopling Road Campus. Anamta Hussain and Kashish Rizvi of Class VIII won the third prize in city level duet singing contest organised by the Search Foundation.

A 3-day International Inter-Faith Conference was organized by the campus from 12 to 14 August 2017. At the inaugural ceremony, students of the campus presented a wide array of cultural items based upon religious unity which was applauded and appreciated by the distinguished gathering. Discussions were held on 13 and 14 August among religious scholars and enlightened thinkers from Egypt, USA, UK, South Africa, Germany, Bangladesh, Canada, Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and various States of India on the theme 'The Role of Religion in Development.' At the closing session, the delegates and religious scholars agreed that all religions endeavour to promote unity in the world.

Dhruv Tandon and Rifa Siddiqui of Peace House won the Spell Bee Competition held at the campus. Kisa Abbas, Warisha Rehman, Ali Tauseef, Mohd. Yasir and Mohd. Arhaan won prizes in the quiz conducted by Food Safety and standards of India (FSSAI). Aviraj Saxena, Syed Ali Abbas, Anoushka, Mahapara and Mohd. Amaan from junior section won the 2nd consolation prize in poem enactment competition at Confluence 2017 organized by CMS Indira Nagar Campus.

Parents were spell bound to see the fabulous performance of the students during Mothers' Day and Grand Parents' Day. The show was followed by a fete wherein they tasted various mouth watering dishes from the stalls put up by the teachers.
