Literature is a subject that portrays life. Any piece of literature be it a poem, a story or a play must be taught in the context of the historical and social background in which it is set. The text must be taught in a lively manner so that students find it interesting to read. Children should be encouraged to use their creativity and express their view points while attempting to write essays.
Since its inception, CMS has been imparting value-based quality learning to the children. It does not only promote education from books but trains the mind for taking up social causes and for imbibing universal values that embrace all mankind.
Since I am passionate about teaching, the feeling of contentment that I get when the students understand the concepts clearly, followed by their success in the exams, inspires me the most. The satisfaction on the faces of the parents and the students at the time of results motivates me to do better than before.
For making my subject interesting, I encourage brainstorming sessions in the classrooms. I also prepare worksheets and make the students attempt the past years questions asked in boards. I take regular tests too. In order to encourage students, I motivate them to get good scores.
CMS students are very obedient and disciplined. They have the passion to learn more and more. We teachers have to provide them the guidance and direction and act as facilitators. Interactive discussions on different topics in biology and use of various audio-visual aids make the subject more enjoyable. The mutual sharing of knowledge with democratic values encourage the children to learn more and more. Every child is encouraged to participate actively in classroom teaching.
The inspiration for my success is God. The Bible says in Chapter Matthew –“First seek the Kingdom and righteousness of God, all things will be added to you”. This verse has inspired me a lot. I applied this verse in my life and miracles started happening in my life.
I make my subject interesting for the students by showing various power point presentations, giving them assignments, quizzes and taking practicals on different topics.
I am extremely happy about the performance of my students. I attribute all my success to the dedicated efforts of my students who reciprocated well to what I taught them in class and on the field.
Kindly note: Best ICSE teachers’ inspirational statements will be published in next bulletin.
