Introduction

This policy outlines the recruitment process and guidelines for hiring staff members at City Montessori School, International Section, Lucknow. 2. Recruitment Process

  1. Job Advertisement: Vacant positions will be advertised through various channels, including newspapers, school website, online job portals, professional networks, and relevant educational institutions. The job description, qualifications, and application process will be clearly outlined in the advertisement.

  2. Application and Screening: Interested candidates will be required to submit their online applications in the given format and any other relevant documents. The HR / QAID department will review the applications and screen candidates based on their qualifications, relevant experience, and alignment with the school's values.

  3. Interview and Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test which is a test of both subject matter knowledge and pedagogical understanding. Based on the performance in this written test, candidates will be short listed for interviews. A panel, comprising representatives from relevant departments, will conduct the interviews and assessments. This will be followed by a demonstration of expertise in the applied area of work.

  4. Reference Checks: Reference checks will be conducted for the final candidate(s) to verify their qualifications, work experience, and character. Confidentiality will be maintained throughout the process.

  5. Offer and Contract: Upon successful completion of the selection process, the QAID department will inform the selected candidate, outlining the terms and conditions of employment, including salary, start date, and any other relevant details. A written contract will be provided for the candidate's review and signature.

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

  1. Academic Qualifications: Candidates should meet the minimum academic requirements specified for each position. International qualifications and certifications and experience will be an added value.

  2. Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience in their respective fields. Experience working in an international school or multicultural environment is desirable.

  3. Skills and Competencies: Candidates should possess the necessary skills and competencies required for the specific position, including proficiency in relevant technologies and educational methodologies.

  4. Character and Values: Candidates should demonstrate alignment with the school's mission, values, and commitment to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Orientation Training

Selected candidates will undergo orientation training upon joining International Section, City Montessori School. This training will provide an introduction to the school's policies, procedures, curriculum, and teaching methodologies. It will familiarize new staff members with the school's culture, values, and expectations. The orientation program will be designed to support the successful integration of new staff members into their roles and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Confidentiality

All information provided by candidates during the recruitment process will be treated with strict confidentiality. It will only be shared with authorized personnel involved in the recruitment and selection process.

Record Keeping

The HR department will maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities, including applications, interview notes, reference checks, and other relevant documentation, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Policy Review

This staff recruitment policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with evolving educational requirements changing laws and regulations. Amendments or updates will be made as necessary and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
