CMS is a distinctive and remarkable school in academic excellence, spiritual and value-based education and enjoys the rare honour of being recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest school in a single city with over 63,000 pupils on its roll. CMS is the only school in the world to be awarded with UNESCO Prize for Peace Education, 2002.

Starting with only 5 children the journey of the school has been marked with many difficulties and impediments. But, the 'noble cause' has kept it going, pushing it forward with innovative teaching, giving the best of results in the Board examinations year after year. As a result, the strength of the school has grown to over 63,000 pupils.>

CMS is now known for its balanced education in all the three realities of life i.e. Material, Human and Divine and making the child good & smart, a gift of God to mankind, a pride of the human race and potential light of the world.>

Sport is the fabric that joins different cultures and bring under one canopy the people of all nations. We wish RDSO Campus a grand success in achieving the aim and goal of this Olympiad and congratulate them for organising the event.

SPARDHA 2024 - International Sports Olympiad, a festival of Sports for youth provides a world-class platform for students from across the globe to participate enthusiastically in competitions that promote the spirit of sportsmanship.

We aim to create equitable opportunities for students to come together on the field to promote various forms of sports while also raising consciousness towards health and wellbeing. Through values such as perseverance, teamwork and consistency in making efforts, we hope that youth will find within themselves the power to erase borders of place and mind and build bridges that bring nations closer together.

I congratulate Mrs Jyotsna Atul, Principal of CMS RDSO campus and her entire team for conceptualizing and organising this event. We wish the very best to the participants and hope they will foster lifelong friendships while striving to unify the world through the universal language of sports.

Sports has always been an integral part of our lives, instilling discipline, determination, and a spirit of healthy competition. As educators, it is our responsibility to provide our students with opportunities that go beyond the boundaries of the classroom. organising SPARDHA 2024 - International Sports Olympiad in school not only promotes physical fitness but also fosters teamwork, resilience, and a global perspective. It inculcates the value of perseverance and tenacity in our students.

As Winston Churchill said, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."

Sports reminds our students that setbacks are merely stepping stones towards success. It encourages them to view each failure as a valuable lesson and an opportunity to improve, motivates them to never give up, as it is their determination to continue that ultimately defines their success.

"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra." Taking the statement as the guiding force, our management has always instilled a belief in our students that nothing is impossible if you set your heart into it. It has always been highlighted by our Founder Manager, Late Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Founder Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi that the significance of going the extra mile in life can be emulated in sports as well.

As our Manager, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon has been relentlessly emphasizing upon the need to train our young minds to cherish the journey towards victory as it is often as fulfilling as the victory itself.

Inspiring our students to find joy in the sports they participate in and helping them to truly enjoy the process was the thought behind organising this event of such magnitude.

I am falling short of appreciation for the staff and students of City Montessori School RDSO campus for making it possible. A special note of congratulation for Mrs Jyotsna Atul, Principal, City Montessori School, RDSO campus for keeping with the momentum and leading her pack with her infectious determination and zeal to achieve the unachievable.

As paucity of time and space compel me to end this message, I allow myself the pleasure of basking in the laurels which our students have in the past, brought to our school. Let us hope this continues in the future too. However, we should not forget that the true nature of sports helps our character shine brightest when we display respect, humility, and support to our teammates and opponents, regardless of the outcome. Hence I wish all the best to all involved in this grand fest with these words of Albert Schweitzer, "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."
