Lucknow, 9 August: Founder of City Montessori School and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi has congratulated Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for becoming the first Indian PM to preside over the United Nations Security Council. Since Independence, Prime Minister Modi is the only Prime Minister of the country who has assumed the important responsibility of presiding over the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the month of August. This is the first time in more than 75 years that the top political leadership has taken the bold decision to preside over the 15-member UNSC. Under PM Modi's presidency, the country will be hosting events related to marltime security, peacekeeping and counterterrorism during the month.
