General Guidelines

Rules and Regulations

  1. The school team should comprise a total of sixteen participants. A maximum of eight participants from the Senior category(Classes XI and XII) and eight participants from the Junior category (Classes VIII, IX and X) should be a part of the school team.
  2. Each team will be accompanied by a Team Leader. The Principal accompanying the team will be the Guest of Honour.
  3. A Registration Fee of Rs. 1,000/-(One Thousand INR only) will be charged per participant for National Teams. $20 (Twenty Dollars only) will be charged from every participant of International Teams. There will be no fee for the Principals, Team Leaders and Local Teams. We request you to pay the Registration Fee through a Demand Draft in favour of City Montessori School, Lucknow. The Demand Draft may be sent along with the Registration Form or submitted at the time of registration on the arrival of the local teams. Kindly refer to the website for registration and other details.
  4. Kindly provide the name of the composition and the composer for ABRSM piece that will be presented by the school at the time of registration.
  5. Each team will be provided with a Team Buddy at the time of registration to facilitate effective participation.
  6. Team Leaders must assemble with their teams in the auditorium at 08:00 a.m. sharp for the Prayer Assembly everyday.
  7. They are requested to sign at the entrance of the Auditorium to ensure their presence. Delay or absence during the assembly will lead to disqualification for the subsequent events of that day.
  8. Though recommended, it is not compulsory for a team to participate in all the events. However, once registered for an event, the team is obliged to participate in that event.
  9. The multimedia for any event should be in the prescribed format only. The details for the same may be checked on the designated page of the event before submitting the entry. The facility to change the format of the required presentation will not be entertained by the organisers.
  10. Participation will be confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. Therefore, the interested schools are requested to mail us their confirmation at the earliest .
  11. We cordially invite your esteemed institution to participate in our upcoming Inaugural Ceremony. As a part of the event, each participating school is requested to prepare a multimedia presentation to showcase their school's essence along with the introduction of the team leader and the participants.
  12. All notices will be displayed outside the Control Room. Team Leaders are requested to update their teams accordingly.

Code Of Conduct

Dress Code

  1. Participants should be in their respective school uniforms throughout the day except at the time of the events that require a costume.
  2. Identification Cards will be provided to the participants on their arrival which must be worn by them at all times from 31st August to 3rd September, 2024.

Accomodation

  1. Only the outstation teams along with their Team Leaders will be provided accommodation by the organisers. Non Participants will not be accommodated. Prior information should be provided in case of any change in the number of participants.
  2. Teams will not be allowed any early arrival /extra stay at the venue.
  3. The visiting teams (outstation) along with their Team Leaders must be present at the venue at all times from 31st August to 3rd September, 2024.
  4. Participants are advised to take adequate measures for the safety of their belongings.
  5. Meals will be served at the timings given below :
    1. Breakfast---------- 7:00 a.m. to 07:45 a.m.
    2. Lunch --------------1:00 p.m. to 02:00 p.m.
    3. Dinner-------------- 8:00 p.m. to 09:00 p.m.
  6. **Kindly note that only on 31st August, 2024, the timings for lunch will be from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Discipline

  1. The Team Leader will be responsible for the conduct of the Team Members.
  2. Proper discipline and decorum should be maintained by the participants during their stay.
  3. The teams are requested to cooperate with their Team Buddies by maintaining punctuality and discipline.
  4. No relatives or friends will be allowed to meet any participant till the conclusion of all the events of ODYSSEY 2024.
  5. The Team Leaders and the participants are requested to be present at the venue of the events.
  6. Venturing out of the premises without seeking prior permission will be considered a Breach of Zone and the participant will be immediately asked to withdraw from the events.
  7. Any breach of discipline may lead to disqualification of the team and the organisers may be compelled to request the team to withdraw from the subsequent events.

Validity of Entry

  1. The participating schools must ensure that their entries are complete in all aspects.
  2. The entries must be duly signed and forwarded by the Head of the Institution.
  3. Every member of the participating team must submit a photocopy of the ADHAAR CARD (National Teams)/ PASSPORT (International Teams) at the time of registration.
  4. Kindly adhere to the deadlines mentioned in the brochure.
  5. The entries which do not conform to the rules specified for each competition will stand disqualified.

Judgement of the Events

  1. The judgement will be done by the team of Honourable Judges and their decision will be final.
