Lucknow, 27 February : Shubhanshu Shukla, an alumnus of CMS Aliganj campus is among the four chosen budding astronauts by ISRO for Gaganyaan's mission. Coming from a humble background, he was born and brought up in the bylanes of Triveni Nagar in Lucknow. His father Shambu Dayal Shukla was elated at his son's achievement and said that Shubhanshu took the NDA route to get into the Indian Airforce where he is a fighter pilot. With an exemplary display of determination and survival in extreme circumstances, he was chosen for this prestigious mission. His mother Asha Shukla is a home maker. CMS President and Manager, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon expressed profound delight at the achievement of this CMS alumnus. She said, Shubranshu has not only done his school proud but has also brought Lucknow on the global map with his astounding achievement. The CMS family is proud of his achievement.
