CMS Environment Coordinators Meeting held on
Friday, 31 March 2017 at 12:30 PM
Venue: Board Room, CMS, Gomti Nagar II

A monthly review meeting of all CMS Environment Coordinators was held on Friday, 31st March 2017. Mrs. Farida Vahedi, Head, Youth Empowerment & Capacity Building, chaired the meeting and welcomed all the coordinators.

The meeting started with a prayer..Following are the highlights of the meeting:

 Reports were share by the following campuses:

Anand Nagar:
They  celebrated World Water Day. Children made boards to save water and hand wash. They also played a skit during assembly for pre-primary children. They were explaining how important it is to save water. They had discussions and made a quiz.

Kanpur Road:
Eco Club has to be formed for this new session year 2017-18. They shared how they choose the eco club members. They take the students as eco club members those who are good academically means get more than 80% result because if they miss any period, so they can be able to compensate.

Rajendra Nagar III:-
They ran a theme called Global warming.

Chowk:-
They have done a lot for greenery at the campus. They have started making kitchen garden where they produce vegetables and fruits.

Aliganj I:-
This time they invited students to initiate a new project. There are some old monuments and students were called out to take care of the old monument. They had done twice.

Suggestions:-

• Having watched some video of the activities being done in the campuses, Mrs.Varalika suggested to get the video downloaded on youtube and try to get them liked by all the students and the staffs of all the branches of CMS. As a result these likes can help us to earn money and that can be utilized for the environmental activities. She also requested to get this thing done by next meeting.
• On the basis of discussion of the environmental disasters ,Professor Geeta Gandhi Kingdon suggested to have a chart of life expectancy rate of all countries in all the branches to create awareness.
• Professor Geeta Gandhi Kingdon also suggested about the wastage that is being piled up at every place, that if all the students talk to the local inhabitants about not to pile up the litterings here and there, then it can be a big project.
• Mrs Farida Vahedi also suggested that 4th Saturday, afternoon will be given for activities for JY and animators. Non-animators also can take part in the environmental activities.
