Cognitive computing is valuable for students as it introduces them to advanced technologies that mimic human cognitive functions. It fosters a deeper understanding of skill like problem-solving, data analysis, and strategies decision-making. Students can learn how to leverage these tools for innovative research, efficient problem-solving, and gaining insights across various disciplines, preparing them for future careers in fields where data-driven decision-making and artificial intelligence play pivotal roles. Moreover, understanding cognitive computing equips students with the skills needed to adapt and thrive in a technology-driven world.

Rules and Guidelines

General

  1. The event is being organized for students in two categories- Senior and Junior:
    1. The Junior category will include participants from Classes VII to IX. (12-15 years)
    2. The Senior category will include participants from Classes X to XII. (16-19 years)
  2. Only one entry per event will be allowed per school.
  3. The names of the participants will not be changed after the submission of the form.
  4. Each team will comprise of 5 Senior, 5 Junior students and a team leader.
  5. We accord a special invitation to the Principal/Head of the Institution to be our special Guest of Honour for the Event.
  6. The registration form will be considered valid only if it is complete in all respects and is duly forwarded by the Head of the institution.
  7. The organizers will provide accommodation to all out – station and international teams (maximum 10 participants and 1 accompanying teachers)
  8. A modest amount of Rs 1000/- per participant will be charged as registration fees from the outstation teams. There is no registration charge for the Team Leader/Principal.
  9. The registration fees is to be paid through a Demand Draft, payable at Lucknow in favour of City Montessori School, Lucknow.
  10. In case a team reaches the venue before 23rd August, 2024 or extends its stay beyond 26th August, 2024 some alternative arrangements will have to be made by the team itself.
  11. Additional members, including infants and children will not be accommodated due to shortage of space.
  12. Every registered school will receive a school code.
  13. All outstation teams must attend the press conference and photo session to be held on 23rd August, 2024 at 1:30 pm and are required to schedule their travel plans accordingly.
  14. Participating teams should carry their school flag to the inaugural ceremony.
  15. Outstation teams will not be permitted to leave the premises during the days of the competition days.
  16. The teams must carry their own articles and requirements for the competitions.
  17. It is compulsory for all the teams to attend the Prayer Assembly, as it will confirm their daily attendance.
  18. All team leaders must adhere to the time schedule and ensure that their presence is acknowledged 20 minutes prior to the commencement of the event.
  19. The team leaders must ensure that the team stays back till the end of all performances, as it will encourage others and instill positive feeling of friendship and respect.
  20. Things to be submitted at the time of Registration.
    (a) CD of ‘SOFTEC’
    (b) Music piece of Costek in the form of CD/Pen Drive
    (c) Multimedia for Colesium
  21. The results of all the competitions will be announced on the day of Prize Distribution i.e. on the 26th of August, 2024.
  22. The Judges’ decision would be final.
  23. Each participant should be in their School uniform for all the competitions except for the events where they have to wear costumes.

Timeline:

  1. School Confirmation form must be filled by 30th March 2024.
  2. Event Wise Registration forms must be filled latest by 30th April, 2024.
  3. Outstation participants will be required to send their complete travel details by 30th June, 2024 so that the arrangements for their transport to and from the airport/railway station can be made.
  4. All forms are available on the website.
  5. All local teams must register themselves on 22nd August, 2024 at 10:00am at the Registration Counter.
  6. All teams must attend the inaugural ceremony to be held on 23rd August, 2024 and the prize distribution ceremony on 26th August, 2024 at the World Unity Convention Centre (WUCC), City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus, LDA Colony, Kanpur Road, Lucknow.

AWARDS AND MERITS

Point System: Teams/participants will be awarded points as follows:

First 5 points
Second 3 points
Third 1 points

* The championship trophy will be awarded to the team that earns the maximum points and takes part in all the events and the runner up trophy will be given to the team that secures the second highest points.

INDIVIDUAL TROPHIES:

In addition to the BEST TEAM TROPHIES, individual trophies and certificates will be awarded to all the winners and runners up in individual events.

PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES

The participation certificates shall be awarded to all the participating team members.
