Visit to Prayas by Junior Section


“A community is like a ship, everyone ought to be prepared to take the helm.”

Today, students (Council Members) of Class 8 along with their teachers paid a visit to Eeshwar Child Welfare Foundation, a non-profit, non-government aided organization working for the cancer patients on the occasion of Holi.

The day started with Special Assembly which included Prayer, Thought and virtue. Significance of Holi was also depicted through a small speech, a poem as well as through music. Students distributed articles amongst the children as well as the parents of the cancer patients. Students developed a sympathetic attitude towards children and the parents of those children. They expressed their wish to go in the near future and help them in their own possible way.

International Women’s Day


A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.

Women are world’s greatest inspiration. In order to make women feel special, a programme was organised on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Welcoming of the mothers was done by applying roli and pinning badges. Prayers were offered to seek the blessings of God, the almighty. A motivational video was shown on motherhood and women empowerment. Our Respected Principal Madam introduced the guest speaker Ms. Jyotsana Srivastava who is presently working as a counsellor at SGPGI, Lucknow. The guest speaker gave a motivational talk on women’s mental, physical health and well-being. Thereafter fun activities were conducted like energisers, Bhangra dance and musical chair. Refreshments were offered. It was really a fun-filled event.

Indian Army Day - Junior Section


The 74th Indian Army Day is celebrated in India on 15 January 2022. This day is a matter of great pride for every Indian, as we pay our respects to the daredevils of our country and salute them for the sacrifices, they make each day for the country

A special assembly was conducted by all the sections of the Juniors. The assembly started with the School Prayer and School Pledge followed by the virtue and thought for the day.

The teachers gave a talk and explained the children about the importance of the Indian Army Day. She said that the Indian Army Day is celebrated to honour each soldier in the armed forces of our country for their selfless service. Every year, it is celebrated at all army command offices across the country, and the Headquarters in New Delhi.

Last but not least, facts about the special day was shared with the students and a quiz was conducted in the online special assembly which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

Hobby Classes - Primary Section


Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life

A hobby is a pleasurable activity that we do during our leisure time. It helps us to maintain health and well-being by adding more balance and significance to our life.

Primary classes 1 to 5 took active part in the hobby classes. The theme was the festival of Christmas.

Students participated enthusiastically and prepared craft items like golden and silver stars, bells, Christmas trees, Santa Claus and beautiful wreaths.

Video Conference organized by the team of Generation Global


City Montessori School, Station Road Campus had a wonderful day on 16th November, 2021 by sharing an amazing dialogue session through Video Conferencing. This Video Conference was organized by the team of Generation Global between four schools. The participating schools were from the countries Italy, Ukraine and India.

Around, 13 students from various sections of Class VIII participated in this VC. The topic of the VC was “The Rights and Inequalities”. The objective of this dialogue session was that the students get the opportunity to share and learn about rights and inequalities in different global contexts. They will have the opportunity to put this into practice key dialogue skills.

Students started talking about their personal experiences about rights and inequalities and how pandemic affected the rights, they gave good examples from their lives. Then they start discussing on how can they as students empower their rights, then they moved on speaking about some rights that may be misused, on which they came up with some examples. Then a question about discrimination let a student open her heart to share a powerful experience that students showed a high level of empathy that empowered the students and enrich the dialogue. Students articulated themselves well and confidently, they build a dialogue thread by answering each other and moving on smoothly.

Further, the students from various schools went into a deeper dialogue by sharing their thoughts on - What are your own experiences of inequality/equality? (In the module you looked at racism, sexism, land rights, freedom of belief, slavery.)

How has the recent pandemic impacted people’s rights and inequalities?

You have learned about power and oppression. How do factors like accessing the dialogue in your second or third language, access to technology, age and location impact on the experience?

It was an enriching session for all the students.

A very informative and enlightening webinar was held online making the audience aware on the topic: Awareness & Training on Sudden Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation. It was an awareness programme by the expert team of I-CARE HOSPITAL, MUMBAI.

Qualified trainers addressed on Sudden cardiac arrest and difference between heart attack and cardiac arrest. The detailed information was given to the audience about the above by Miss Sumaiya Raghavan, Mr. Anand Srivastava along with Dr. Aditya Kapoor and Dr. Sudhanshu Dwivedi.

This enriching session was hosted by the Station Road Campus along with Jopling Road Campus. We were very fortunate to hear some eminent doctors of our country.

The expert doctors demonstrated and explained how to recognise a cardiac arrest in a person and what action should be taken immediately. The use of AED machine was also demonstrated which would be a great help to the patient. They also taught how to perform CPR to revive the patient from unconsciousness. The common people should not hesitate in doing CPR within 3 minutes of cardiac arrest as it would help a life. The more we delay, the more we are near to danger. Help to save a life. The eminent doctors also satisfied the queries of the audience. We need to take care of our heart as a healthy heart resides in a healthy body.

Last but not the least, the principals from both the campus thanked the eminent doctors for guiding the audience and giving their valuable time to the teachers.

Diwali was celebrated with fun and frolic in the assembly by the children of the Junior Section.

Seeking the blessings of the Almighty, the School Prayer was conducted which was followed by the School Pledge.

A beautiful Thought and Virtue were presented based on Prosperity and Happiness.

Diwali represents the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and wisdom over ignorance. The story behind Deepawali was also highlighted upon.

On Diwali night, prayers are offered to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and Ganesh, the god representing good fortune and wisdom for the coming year.

The students shared some valuable points on what should be done during Diwali and what should not be done for a safe Deepawali.

Some tips were also shared for a safe and healthy Diwali following all the necessary corona protocols.

Make Diwali full of joy not only for you, but for others also. Let lights around you bring more brightness to your lives. Spread happiness, care for others, go environment-friendly and celebrate a happy Diwali.

A Virtual New Parents Evening – AARAMBH was celebrated on 11th September, 2021.

The Chief Guest for the day was Major Sanjeet Pandey, an artillery officer.

The day’s programme started with the School Prayer followed by a hymn seeking the blessings of the Almighty. The Welcome Song presented by the tiny tots of class K.G. won the hearts of the audience.

Respected Principal Ma’am Mrs. Deepali Gautam addressed the gathering by welcoming the new students with their parents to the Station Road campus. She thanked the parents for showing their trust on the school and promised to cater the best of her services. Ma’am also thanked the management for their unconditional support and guidance at each and every step. Next, the ceremony of lighting of the lamp took place which was beautifully recorded.

A beautiful All Religion Prayer was presented by the students of the Primary section spreading the message of Oneness of God and Oneness of all religions. The Earth is one country and we are all citizens of the same Earth. the message of peace and unity was conveyed through the World Unity Prayer presented by the students of the Junior Section.

Later on, the new parents were invited on the virtual platform to share their thoughts and feelings with all of us. And it was really such a great pleasure hearing them when they showed their love and trust on the school. One of the parents was extremely thankful to the hard-working teaching staff of CMS, because of which they are able to see lot of positive changes in their child.

Further, our Respected President and Managing Director, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon addressed the gathering which was a complete motivational and inspirational session for all of audience. Melodies in Rhyme was performed by the tiny tots of our campus, the pre-primary section children.

Last but not the least, our Respected Founder Director, Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi Ma’am thanked the parents for showing their faith and giving the opportunity to the CMS family to nurture and enhance the up bringing of their children. She also thanked the Station Road family for their sincere efforts and hard work for making today's event a success.

Celebration of festivals play a pivotal role in nation-building; bringing people from every religious, economic and social background together.

Eid Ul Adha is a festival celebrated by the people following the religion of Islam. It basically marks the end of Hajj or Pilgrimage to Makkah. This Eid is also known as the Eid of sacrifice, and it basically commemorates the faith of Abraham (Ibrahim) and devotion to Allah.

The festival was celebrated with full zeal on 20-07-2021 in the Pre-primary and Primary Section of Station Road Campus. Children were told about the importance of this religious festival of Eid Ul Adha which means sacrifice. Teachers told the children that parenting is also one of the biggest sacrifices.

Students of Kindergarten and Nursery spoke a few lines on the festival. Students from the Primary section were asked to share their thoughts about what they would like to sacrifice if needed. It is the beauty of Station Road Campus that all festivals are celebrated with the same vigour which showcases the underlying strength of brotherhood and affection.

"Green is the prime colour of the world, and that is where its loveliness arises."

Special Assembly was conducted on 12th of July 2021 at Station Road Campus to celebrate green day 🎄 Children and teachers were dressed in green to mark the occasion. Students were introduced to various shades of green... bottle green, parrot green and aqua green. Benefits of eating green vegetables were told to the children. They were also told about important medicinal plants that we get from the green world 🌎. Quizzes on objects that were green in colour were taken up in all the classes. To enhance the creative skills of the learners various activities were conducted in all the classes. Through fingerprinting, students of Montessori made a bunch of grapes. Students of Nursery made tortoise using old paper plate. Students of Kindergarten made paper bag frog. To build up the good citizenship skills in the toddlers the students of Nursery and Kindergarten spoke about the significance of green colour (this also helped children to enhance their communication skills)

Green Day was not only about celebration... it was a fun way to learn serious lessons. Go green was the message which conveyed that we should not cut trees, rather plant more and more trees for sustainable life on Earth. 🎄🎄

It was a fun-filled day for everyone.

No matter how grown up we are, the love for balloons never fades away.

Balloon Day was celebrated on 16th of July 2021 in the Pre-Primary Section of Station Road Campus with great enthusiasm. Children excitedly participated in the celebration by decorating their rooms with colourful balloons. Children were told that balloons signify happiness and joy. They were told that balloons are used for decorations on birthdays and other special occasions. To enhance the creative skills of the students, various activities were conducted in all the classes. Students of Montessori made the face of an elephant with a balloon. Students of Nursery made a bunch of balloons in theirs art notebook with balloon dabbing. Students of Kindergarten decorated the balloons. Children sang a few rhymes on balloons. (this helped to enhance their communication skills) . Even mothers participated in the celebration by doing the balloon dance with their children.

It was a joyous occasion for everyone.
