INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated the 75th Independence Day with great fervour and enthusiasm as Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on the 15th of August 2021.

The beauty of Freedom was celebrated both offline and online at the campus on the 15th of August. The senior Principal Respected Mrs Jayashree Krishnan unfurled the tricolour and the entire campus echoed with the tune of the National Anthem which was proudly sung by the office bearers and the Middle Level Leaders present at the Campus.

A virtual celebration was held for the entire staff in which the students presented beautiful programmes on the theme of Vande Matram. Our staff and students were lucky enough to be blessed by our respected founders and our most respected President on this auspicious occasion who joined us in the celebration. It is a matter of great pride for all of us that the celebration witnessed the presence of great personalities from all the three armed forces:

  1. Mr. U K Jha , Major General Indian Army

  2. Mr. Prashant Shandilya, commander in Indian Navy and

  3. Mr. Azad Singh , Flight lieutenant Indian Airforce

only this but the students did various activities in the classes on the 14th of August to relive the spirit of freedom. They participated in different competitions whose results were declared in the virtual celebration. The entire celebration was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

WORLD MUSIC DAY


"Music is a piece of art that goes in the EARS straight to the HEART"

World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on the 21st of June every year. On music day the students are allowed and urged to play music outside the class, in their neighbourhood, parks and public places. Due to Covid constraints this year, the students of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I were asked to play various instruments in their classes and learn about the music culture of various countries.

The session started with prayer followed by an informative video about the relation between Indian music and global music then the teacher presented a small presentation about global world music day and career in music. Later the students were asked about their views. After that the children were asked to do one online rhythmic activity for which they received online certificates. Then the teacher taught songs like Notes of Love, Good neighbors and I've got Peace like a river. The students also played various instruments.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION


“Your body exists in the past and your mind exists in the future. In yoga they both come together in present.”

Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.

International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Rajendra Nagar Campus I with great enthusiasm. Students demonstrated various asanas followed by Omkar chanting. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously.

The children of the Pre-primary section were told about the importance of yoga, how it benefits health and makes our body strong and flexible. Few easy poses were shown to the children by the PT teacher. They were guided on how to do it. All the children not only did the poses but were happy to learn it.

A short film was screened for the students of the Primary Section to highlight the benefits of yoga. Students of the Yoga Club performed important asanas and performed the pranayamas (breathing exercises) for improving one’s concentration in studies.

Students from various classes of Junior section participated to showcase various yoga asanas and yogic actions. They displayed easy to difficult yogasnas through videos.

Children highlighted the importance of yoga to make everyone more interested in yoga.

They emphasized that yoga is necessary for the people of all ages as it keeps both body and mind fit. The students were addressed by –

Dr Tarun Malik– He gave some beautiful tips to keep oneself hygienic.

Dr Bhumika (a dietitian) – She addressed the students and guided them about What to eat? When to eat? & Why to eat healthy?

Mr Malay Pandey – He shared his views on how yoga can transform ones life.

To ensure good health - eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness and maintain an interest in life.

The students of the Senior section also celebrated the day with full spirit. A Presentation on history and importance of yoga was shown to the students.

Students shared their views on importance of yoga in their lives and students performed yoga exercises with music. Yoga anthem raised the spirit. The Vice Principal and the Coordinators addressed the students motivating them to include yoga in their daily routine.

WORLD HERITAGE DAY CELEBRATION - A REPORT


World Heritage Day was celebrated by the students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 18th of April with great zeal and fervour. The aim of celebrating the day was to promote cultural heritage and raise awareness about its diversity. The teachers motivated the students to respect, protect and conserve cultural heritage.

As part of the celebrations of World Heritage Day, a digital presentation was shown to the students on the theme, ‘Our Heritage is Our Wealth’. Through this medium the students were advised to preserve and conserve the cultural heritage. A virtual trip to various monuments of the world was organized for the students which they enjoyed a lot. They were taken to The Hanging Garden, they were shown the 360 degree view of The Taj Mahal. The students were also told about The Seven Wonders Of The World. The importance and significance of various historical monuments was explained to the students. They also made beautiful pop up cards on the occasion of World Heritage day.

EDUCATING ABOUT WELLNESS IN TODAY’S TIMES


“You are what you eat, so don't be fast, cheap, easy or fake”

The students of 5th standard prepared remarkable interactive assembly where they taught their fellow-mates about wholesome wellness. This aimed towards the present scenario where in every house there are upcoming Covid patients.

The supplies seem to be limited but a person can take care of themselves by staying indoors, wearing a mask, taking steam and maintaining a healthy body weight. Students also demonstrated few "Pranayams" and Yoga exercises to have a healthy body.

Students seemed to be abreast with the necessary precautions to be taken to both prevent and cure Corona.

The teachers also guided the students stating how staying mentally healthy would also go a long way to survive this pandemic and come out of it safely.

VIRTUAL ROZA IFTAAR


“Ramadan does not come for changing our schedule. It comes for changing our hearts.”

The holy month of Ramadan brings with itself the blessings of the Almighty and the message of peace and brotherhood. Every year we celebrate the auspicious month of Ramadan by throwing an iftar party at the campus for all the parents who keep fast so that we all can seek the blessings of the Almighty at the same time under one roof.

Because of the pandemic, like the last year, this year too we organized a VIRTUAL ROZA IFTAAR for the parents on the 21st of April ’21 so that all could get connected at the time of iftaar.

On this occasion all the parents joined us on the zoom app. Our Principal Respected Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan wished the parents and the students. The parents also thanked the Principal and the staff for being considerate enough for organizing the virtual roza iftaar and giving due respect to the holy month of Ramadan.

On this day Maulana Khalid Rashid very kindly accepted to be the special guest and he thanked the management and the Principal for organizing the virtual roza iftaar. The students recited verses from the holy quran which created an atmosphere of spirituality.

The parents and the teachers wished each other and prayed for the betterment of the world. They also prayed for the situations to get normal so that we all could meet at the campus as early as possible.

BAISAKHI CELEBRATION


Teaching, learning and celebrations cannot be confined to the four walls of the classroom. For us at City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar I, religious festivals have become an important way to teach our students about how can we transform living with diversity from the superficial to something dignified and mutually respectful and worthwhile.

The students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Baisakhi with great excitement. The teachers briefed the students about the significance and importance of the festival in the class. The students dressed themselves in Punjabi attire and danced on the tunes of Punjabi folk songs to celebrate Baisakhi. The students made cards and beautiful drawings on reflecting the festival of Baisakhi, wished each other and prayed for each other’s well being and good health.

The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their culture and heritage.

Every day, every minute and every second is hope. So let's hope best for all. Happy Baisakhi!!!

National Vaccination Day


Vaccines save lives; fear endangers them. Vaccines are the tugboats of preventive health.

Universal vaccination may be the greatest success story in the history of medical sciences.

The National Vaccination Day, also called the National Immunization Day, is celebrated every year on March 16 to convey the importance of vaccination to the entire nation. On this occasion only the students of Junior section of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated the National Vaccination Day.

The students of class 8 sensitised every one about the importance of vaccination as it protects us, our family and our community. Immunisation helps protect future generations by eradicating diseases. The students in a campaign talked to the parents and asked them about their views on vaccination. They also briefed the parents about the advantages of getting vaccinated. On this occasion, they talked about the corona vaccine and cleared the doubts of the parents regarding the vaccine.

Life laughs at you when you are unhappy; Life smiles at you when you are happy; But life salutes you when you make others happy.

The Junior Section of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar I, celebrated the festival of colours in the most unique way. It decided to make some underprivileged children happy by providing them with some useful stuff. This activity was conducted under the community service project.

A donation drive was organised to support Ishwar Child Welfare Foundation, NGO working to help the children suffering from Cancer. The students even went to the orphanage to donate Chips, chocolates, biscuits etc and they even gifted the handmade cards and wished them a very happy and colorful Holi.

The drive was a great success as the children were very happy to receive the gifts. They thanked the staff and students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I.

VIDYA KA PARV – PRIMARY AND PRE PRIMARY SECTION


Oh what a grandeur it was to watch when all seemed to be in alignment with the consent of the Almighty. Students returned to school and it was delightful and nerving for one and all. Students were twinkling to meet their teachers and friends after a long break due to the pandemic.

It was an occasion which was being looked forward by all of us- an occasion worth celebrating. The school premises was beautifully decorated with balloons and streamers to welcome the students. The teachers greeted the students at the classroom doors with a quirky puppet and a loving heart. All were seated administering the necessary precautions under Covid norms. The clown mobile hangers in the corridors attracted everybody’s attention. A welcoming song was played in the corridors to keep a joyful atmosphere.

Profuse activities were taken up by the teachers to make the first day of the school which was celebrated as Vidya Ka Parv, a special one for everyone. Children were amused, affected and touched by the efforts made by their beloved mentors.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION


International Women's Day was celebrated at Rajendra Nagar Campus I to recognise the contribution and the significance of the women. The celebration began by greeting the strongest women of the campus with a bouquet.

It was followed by various activities in the classroom wherein the students made beautiful cards for their mothers and teachers acknowledging their efforts. The children were also shown a presentation on women achievers of the world. The presentation highlighted the message about competency of women, intellectual capacity of women as capable of holding high responsibilities as efficiently as men can do.

The Senior Principal of the campus Respected Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan acknowledged the efforts of the female staff and made the day important for them by presenting them with a card and a chocolate. The staff was touched with this sweet gesture of the head of the head of the institution.

WORLD NUTRITION DAY


When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.

Students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I did various activities on the occasion of World Nutrition Day to spread awareness and encourage people as a society to understand the importance of nutrition and adopt a healthy, sustainable lifestyle by categorising different food items as healthy and junk food. Students were very happy and excited to carry out the first offline activity with the teacher. Health requires healthy food. Keeping the same thought in mind, the children, made beautiful collages. They also understood the importance of the healthy food and brought healthy food for their lunch.

It is very rightly said “WE RECEIVE TO GIVE”. The generous thought of serving the needy by giving what we had in plenty was carried out by the Principal, staff and students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I.

They went to Ishwar Child welfare foundation near King George Medical University where they distributed gifts to the children who are suffering from cancer by birth. These children live there with their parents who take care of them. This foundation looks after the welfare of these children.

Students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I went to these children and gave them things like masks, towels, soaps, sanitizers etc under community service project. The little children were delighted to receive the gifts.

FIRST DAY OF THE SCHOOL FOR JUNIOR STUDENTS POST COVID


First impression is the last impression, hence it is very necessary to make the students feel comfortable on the first day of the school especially when they come after a long break.

Rajendra Nagar Campus I reopened the school for the Junior students post covid after a break of nearly one year on the 15th of February 2021.

Students arrived with a mix of emotions. The reason varied from child to child but they were anxious about the starting of the offline classes in this session.

Students were given a warm welcome. Special care was taken that all the Covid protocols are strictly followed. Thermal scanning of all the students was done at the entrance and a record of the same was maintained. Students were asked to sanitize their hands before entering the school.

The teachers along with the senior Principal Respected Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan were standing at the entrance which was beautifully decorated to welcome the students.

As the children moved to their classes, they were asked to recite the school prayer and thank God that they were once again back to school. To make the environment more welcoming for the students, the teachers made beautiful welcome boards. They also conducted various activities in their classes to make the students feel comfortable.

Basant Panchami celebrated


“Basant Panchmi” is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This day was celebrated at Rajendra Nagar Campus I with great fervour and enthusiasm.

Yellow colour – representative of spiritual knowledge was given importance on Basant Panchmi.

This year Basant Panchami celebration was all the more important as it was the first festival celebrated with the students post Covid break with all the necessary precautions taken by the staff and the students. The students assembled in the assembly hall to pray and attain blessings from Goddess Saraswati to reach the epitome of knowledge. The celebration started with a beautiful Saraswati Vandana. The Senior Principal Respected Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan, the Vice Principal Respected Mrs. Reeta Fleming and other teachers offered flowers to Goddess Saraswati and prayed to bless all of us with knowledge and wisdom.

The students also presented yellow flowers to the Principal as a mark of respect and to reflect their happiness of coming back to school.

The students also presented a song and a dance on this occasion which was enjoyed by everyone.

The children enjoyed the day, enlightened by the blessings of Maa Saraswati.

“Citizenship consists in the service of the country,” -Jawahar Lala Nehru

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated virtually in all its solemnity and grandeur at City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus 1 on the 25th of January, 2020.

On this day the students saluted the National Flag and pledged to uphold the honour, integrity and uniqueness of their country.

To make the celebrations worth remembering, number of activities were conducted in the online classes. The students made different crafts using tricolored papers .The students made flags using the ice cream sticks .They also made tricolored fans and bands Special assemblies were conducted where the students sang patriotic songs and danced on the tunes of PATRIOTIC SONGS. The tiny tots of Pre primary section looked adorable dressed as various patriots. The Junior and Senior students wrote beautiful poetries and essays reflecting their respect towards their country’s sovereignty. The students were also told some facts about the constitution of India.

There was an atmosphere of patriotism all around.

LOHRI CELEBRATION


Lohri was celebrated at Rajendra Nagar Campus I virtually with a lot of exuberance and fanfare on the 13th of January, 2021.

The mood on the campus was upbeat and the students were absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri.

A very well co-ordinated assembly was conducted by the students of UNITY HOUSE. Importance of LOHRI was told through a very interesting video. It also informed as to why LOHRI, MAKARSANKRANTI and PONGAL are celebrated on the same day. AYAAN KAZMI very confidently delivered a speech on LOHRI. The teacher presented an extravagant show of colour and festivity on the occasion of Lohri, Pongal and Makar Sankranti.

The assembly enlightened everyone about the legend behind Lohri, Pongal and Makar Sankranti, the way these festivals are celebrated in different parts of our country.

Saanvi Mishra, Mansha Vijh and Abhimanyu presented a beautiful dance video of bhangra and giddha on traditional folk songs of Punjab and Riya Srivastava dazzled the class with her performance on the folk songs of South India.

The assembly spread the euphoria of all the three festivals among the other students.

The tiny tots of the pre primary section did various activities using peanuts and popcorns. They also made colourful kites.

The students were told about the significance of the festival during their classes. Students sang melodious songs immersed in the rich cultural folklore of Punjab. The students attended their online classes dressed in colourful attire to feel the festive spirit of Lohri.

Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring.

Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, the staff and students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated the festival virtually as Tipsy Christmas - A Frosty Fest with great fervor and enthusiasm on December 24, 2020.

Everybody was dressed in red and white (Santa’s favourite colours). The students sang melodious carols and danced beautifully on the tunes of jingle bells.

The significance of the festival was explained through the Nativity play.

The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children and the staff.

FANTASM-2020


An International Cosplay Competition was organized by City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 31st of October. It was a phenomenon of music, color, costumes and pure energy where children from all across the globe engaged the audience in role plays which were full of entertainment. It was an evening of splendor and mesmerizing journey of cartoons, ghosts, goblins, superheroes and all the imaginary characters you could conceive of only in your dreams!

E-COFAS International 2020


Over the years, technology has revolutionized our world and daily lives. Technology has indeed made our lives easier, faster, better, and more fun but, on the flip side, it has also impacted the environment, thereby posing tremendous threats to environmental sustainability. Combating these threats will involve computing, that needs to be examined through the lens of sustainability. The awareness of the detrimental side effects of technology on environment, has initiated the need to turn to a sustainable practice of energy-efficient IT solutions like “Green Computing" also called green technology.

Keeping this in mind, City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar campus I organized the 20th International Computer Olympiad E-COFAS 2020 – a four day long fest from 27th of November to 30th of November. The theme of this year’s COFAS International ‘GREEN COMPUTING – The NEXT WAVE IN TECHNOLOGY” is a tiny but a significant step on our part in reducing the carbon footprint.

The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The triumph was possible by the relentless efforts of our Principal – Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan.

The four day long event was very systematically organized starting with an exceptionally wonderful inaugural ceremony that was a perfect blend of music, dance and culture. Teams from Russia, Jordan, Oman, Dhaka and various states of India participated in the event with full enthusiasm.

Various competitions were conducted on the 28th and 29th of November. The event ended with a grand closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony with DPS Kalyanpur, Kanpur bagging the Overall Championship followed by Pathania Public School Rohtak winning the Runners Up title.

The event was diligently organized. There was a soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant.

CHILDREN’S DAY AND DIWALI CELEBRATIONS


Students and teachers at CMS Rajendra Nagar I celebrated Children’s Day this year virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. From dance preparations to plays, a plethora of activities was live-streamed by teachers for students on November 13. The school decided to hold early celebrations this year as the day coincides with Diwali, when all schools are shut. Hence the campus was abuzz with activities to celebrate Chidren’s Day and Diwali together.

On this occasion the teachers presented beautiful programmes for the children to make the day special for them. On the other hand the students did various activities in the online classes to celebrate Diwali. The students made crafts like lanterns and paper diyas.

To make the celebrations more colourful, various competitions were organized for the mothers in which they enthusiastically took part. They sang songs, danced and made beautiful rangolis.

The students, mothers and the teachers enjoyed the Children’s Day and Diwali celebration.

PAPER BAG DAY


Paper Bags, in the past couple of decades, have become a vital part of our lives due to their increased environmental and economic significance. Keeping this in mind, the little Creators of Rajendra Nagar Campus I have Celebrated Paper Bag Day with alternative Paper Bags to Create Awareness among Young Minds to save our Mother Earth and Nature.

On this occasion students made beautiful paper bags using old newspapers, card sheets and even the pages of their old notebooks.

They also presented their views on using paper pages instead of plastic bags. In a special assembly, a street play on “Say No to Plastic” was also shown to them which they enjoyed a lot.

The teachers told the students about the harmful effects of plastic and how it can damage the environment.

The children took a pledge to avoid using plastic bags and use paper bags only.

WORLD POPULATION DAY


“There is a huge population explosion around the globe. It is reported that every 12 years, another billion population is added to the globe’s population.” Keeping this in mind the UN General Assembly decided to observe 11th of July as the World Population Day.

In order to make the children aware of the effects of the growing population, The World Population Day was celebrated by the students of Rajendra Nagar Campus 1 on the 11th of July, 2020. On this day a special assembly was conducted in which the teachers discussed with the students some interesting facts related to the global population .They also told how a country’s population can contribute in the upliftment of the Nation. At the same time the students were told about the harmful effects of increasing population.

The children did various activities. They made facts book on which they wrote different facts related to the global population. They made posters and drawings and wrote slogans and facts on World Population Day.

GLOBAL FORGIVENESS DAY


As it is very rightly said “Forgiveness is the beauty of saints.”, so to tell the importance of being forgiving to the students Rajendra Nagar Campus 1 celebrated Global Forgiveness Day on the 7th of July, 2020.

Moral values should be inculcated in the children from the very childhood. Keeping this in mind the teachers tell the students about different virtues, their importance and their influence on the personality of a person. The teachers always emphasize on all the values but on the 7th of July the focus was on “FORGIVENESS” . The students were told different stories about great people who were known for their forgiveness. The students enjoyed listening to their teachers.

Since we believe in learning by doing so the students did different activities to celebrate the Global Forgiveness day. The students made sorry and thank you cards which they sent to their friends .The students also prepared ‘four part apology’ where they admitted their mistake, asked for forgiveness and promised not to repeat it again.

At the end of the day the students promised to develop the habit of forgiveness in themselves.

CHOCOLATE DAY CELEBRATION


“Happiness is an unexpected piece of chocolate.”

People tend to feel happy, the moment they see a chocolate .A chocolate refreshes our mood and generates the happy harmones. All kids like chocolates, infact it is their favourite sweet so it was fun for the tiny tots of pre primary to celebrate the World Chocolate Day on the 7th of July, 2020.

The Children were dressed in brown coloured dress and they talked about their favourite chocolate. Related videos and ppt’s were shown to the learners. The children were also taken to a virtual trip to a chocolate factory.

Various activities like tearing and pasting, making numerals with the gems were also taken up.

The students enjoyed watching video of chocolate making. It was a fun filled celebration for them.

VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATIONS


The advent of July was marked as the green revolution to celebrate Van Mahotsav week at Rajendra Nagar I. Everyday the students were told about the importance of trees and forests, benefits of tree plantation, harmful effects of deforestation during the assembly time. Number of activities were performed by the students of different sections.

A special assembly was organized by the students of Junior section in which they talked about the various ways of protecting trees. They also discussed about Chipko movement. The students of Primary section spoke on importance of trees during the assembly time. They also presented a mime showing harmful effects of deforestation. The students did different activities on the theme “Save Trees”. They made beautiful collages and wrote inspiring slogans. On the occasion of Van Mahotsava, the students pledged to conserve energy and save environment. They made the cut outs of trees and wrote poems, quotes and slogans on it.

The students planted saplings in their houses and made a nature’s corner. The students were also told that trees are a must to keep our planet cool and only by planting trees can we keep the Earth healthy and provide a clean and green environment.

FELICITATION CEREMONY


A mother’s love is the purest form of love. She always works for the betterment of her children. The work of a mother is hard, too often unheralded work but we should know that it is worth it then, now and forever. So to acknowledge the efforts and hard work of the mothers, Rajendra Nagar Campus I organized the felicitation ceremony and honouring of the mothers of the position holders on the 30th of June’ 2020.

The celebration started with the prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Senior Principal Respected Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan gave the welcome speech. The audience also witnessed the World Parliament, All Religion Prayer, World Unity Prayer along with few cultural programmes. On this occasion the position holders along with their mothers were honoured. The mothers were awarded with various titles. All Rounder students, Class toppers and the student of the year were also announced.

Based on the results of the various interhouse activities conducted in the previous session, PEACE HOUSE was declared as the COCK HOUSE.

The programme ended with the vote of thanks by the Headmistress Respected Mrs. Supriya Verma.

All the parents and the students were very happy with the celebration.

LITERARY FEST JAMBOREE


Lockdown literary Jamboree _ a four day long literary fest was organised by CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I under the able guidance of Mrs Jayashree Krishnan, senior Principal, Mrs Reeta Fleming- Vice Principal and the Headmistress Mrs Supriya Verma from 11th June to 14th June. The motive behind organising this literary fest was to develop confidence among students and to nurture eloquence in them. Each day of the fest was dedicated to one great literary figure whose biography was shared with the students during the event. Each day witnessed a special event. On the day 1 the students took part in the spell bee finale, the event for the second day was talk show in which the students dressed up as doctors and health officials discussed about the pandemic Civid-19 on the third day, the audience witnessed a spectacular shiw spin a yarn in which the students narrated beautiful stories. The last day of the event was also full of information as the students took part in a quiz competition.

The four day long fest was a great success.

VIDYA KA PARV


First impression is the last impression, hence it is very necessary to make the students feel comfortable on the first day of the school especially when they come after a long vacation. Students arrive with a mix of emotions. The reason varies from child to child but kids tend to feel anxious about the starting of the session. Keeping this in mind Rajendra Nagar Campus 1 celebrated the post vacation session 2020-21 on the 1st of July 2020 as VIDYA KA PARV with great enthusiasm.

To celebrate Vidya Ka Parv a special online assembly was conducted where the teachers told the students about the importance of prayer, discipline and routine work. The Principal blessed the students and the teachers revised the ground rules with them. The students were welcomed with beautifully made presentations and videos which the students enjoyed a lot. The teachers also discussed about the importance of online classes and netiquettes.

Some energizers were taken up to make the children feel comfortable and set the tone for the day.

MOON DAY CELEBRATION


“Every Chess Master today was once a beginner.”

A moon is something that is admired by all specially by the kids. Children love to, listen to the stories of moon and wish to play with it. Children have a great fantasy for moon. Keeping this in mind, Moon Day was celebrated at Rajendranagar campus I on the 20th of July for the students of Pre Primary section.

National moon marks the day man first walked on the moon.

On this day various activities were organized and the children actively participated in the same. They did earbud printing, scrunch up painting and moon hanging activity.

The teachers told the students, various facts about the moon .They also made a model of moon using silver foil. The students also made the same and enjoyed playing with that moon.

INTERBRANCH CHESS COMPETITION


“Every Chess Master today was once a beginner.”

Chess is a game that enables a child to use his brain and plan strategies.

On the occasion of World Chess day, Rajendra Nagar Campus I organized an Inter branch Chess Meet in which 83 students from 13 campuses of City Montessori School took part. The meet was held for three days:

  1. 18/7/20 – PRELIMINARY ROUND with 83 participants.
  2. 19/7/20 - SEMI FINALS with 24 participants
  3. 20/7/20 – FINALS with 12 participants

The chess championship was conducted in a very fair manner under the supervision of the PET’s of various campuses.

Mr A.K. Raizada – the Chief guest of the day was highly impressed with the idea of organizing an online Chess Championship and it was appreciated by all the parents and the students as well.

FELICITATION CEREMONY – ISC and ICSE


“Remember to celebrate the milestones as you prepare for the road ahead”

Lot of festivity and fervour was witnessed at Rajendra Nagar Campus 1 on the 16th and 17th of July, 2020 as the campus celebrated the success and hard work of the ICSE and ISC students in the felicitation ceremony.

The Meritorious students of the ICSE and ISC Sections for the Session 2019-2020 were felicitated t at a glittering Meritorious Meet that was conducted online. The teachers blessed the students and urged them to carry forward the baton of Vasudhaiv Kutumbhakam and let the words of our Respected Founders be their guiding light that would enable them to reach greater heights and scale new peaks with every passing day.

The campus takes pride in its students who brought accolades to the campus by scoring high percentage in the board examination. Kashika Chaudhry with 99.20 % in ICSC is the branch topper and is at the second place in the inter branch merit list. Prakarsh Manohar brought laurels by scoring 99%. The other students also did equally well. Out of 399 students who appeared for the ICSC examination, 154 students scored 90% and above.

Out of 367 students who appeared for the ISC examination 112 students scored 90% and above. Priyanka Jindal is the branch topper with 98.5% where as Anushka Anand, Mansi Verma and Siddharth Badlani are the second toppers with 98.2% marks.

The campus is proud of all its students and wish them good luck for the years ahead.

Virtual Eid Celebration and Divine Seminar


We are highly elated to inform you that Rajendra Nagar Campus I had organized the virtual Eid celebration and Divine Seminar 2020 on the 25th of May. It came out to be a great success. The programme started with a presentation wishing Eid Mubarak to everyone followed by the greetings given by the senior principal respected Mrs Jayashree Krishnan. Keeping in mind the CMS tradition, the programme continued with the World Parliament followed by the All Religion Prayer and the World Unity Prayer. The talented teachers of the campus also presented a qawwali that mesmerized everyone. The programme ended with the motivating words of our most respected founder manager Dr Jagdish Gandhi.

Respected principals of various branches also wished Eid and congratulated the team for organising the Divine Seminar. The chief guest Mr Syed Masoom Raza senior advocate and director advisory committee Royal Family of India also thanked the Principal and the management for organising the virtual Eid Celebration.







Virtual Roza Iftaar


The holy month of Ramadan brings with itself the blessings of the Almighty and the message of peace and brotherhood. Every year we celebrate the auspicious month of Ramadan by throwing an Iftar party at the campus for all the parents who keep fast so that we all can seek the blessings of the Almighty at the same time under one roof.

This year due to the lockdown we could not meet at the campus so we organized a VIRTUAL ROZA IFTAAR for the parents on the 17th May 2020 so that all could get connected at the time of Iftaar. On this occasion all the parents joined us on the zoom app. Our Principal Respected Mrs Jayashree Krishnan wished the parents and the students. The parents also thanked the Principal and the staff for being considerate enough for organizing the virtual Roza Iftaar and giving due respect to the holy month of Ramadan.

On this day Maulana Khalid Rashid very kindly accepted to be the special guest and he shared his speech with us in which he thanked the management and the Principal for organizing the virtual Roza Iftaar.

The parents and the teachers wished each other and prayed for the betterment of the world. They also prayed for the situations to get normal so that we all could meet at the campus as early as possible.




International Nurses’ Day


A nurse plays an important role in the society. The contributions and commitments of the nurses among common public in providing the best health care services are praiseworthy. So International Nurses Day is celebrated on 12th May every year to show our gratitude towards the nurses for the efforts they make. This day also marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale - a great nurse.

On this occasion the students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I made beautiful drawings on Nurses Day. They also wrote essays on the same. The students made Thank you cards for the nurses and asked their parents to share them on social media so that they get the due respect and attention . During these days when everyone is at their home due to the outbreak of COVID’19, the nurses are tirelessly working for the people.




Mother’s Day Celebration


Students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated the untiring efforts and selfless love of their mothers on 10th of May. On this occasion, they made beautiful cards, photo frames and bouquets as a token of love for their mothers. They shared the precious and beautiful moments spent with their mothers on Mother’s Day. They tried to bring a smile on their mother’s face with these little gestures of love. Even the lockdown could not stop them from enjoying and spending time with their mothers to celebrate this very special day. It is truly said, “No words can express the power and beauty of a mother’s love for it is higher than the heavens and deeper than the oceans.” On this very special day, the campus organized various activities for the mothers like dancing, cake making and flower arrangement. The mothers enthusiastically took part in the competitions and thanked the teachers for making the day so special for them by organizing the competitions.






Rabindra Nath Tagore Jayanti


Rabindra nath Tagore Jayanti is a cultural celebration to mark the birth anniversary of the luminary, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rabindranath Tagore. It is celebrated annually and globally in May. While Gitanjali is considered Tagore’s tour de force, he was also a prolific songwriter. In remembrance and reverence for the polymath that Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was, cultural programmes and events are held during the course of the day but this year due to the outbreak of COVID’ 19 , no cultural programmes were held but his birthday was celebrated online. The students made his portraits and wrote his sayings and slogans. They also wrote about his famous works. Some students composed poems on his life and works and also wrote essays on him. He was an inspiration for all.




Interhouse Show And Tell Competition


Show and tell is an important part of a child’s learning development, as it helps them to organize information and build their confidence. It helps the child to think out of the box. An Inter-house Show and Tell competition was organized for the students of class 2 on the 9th of May, 2020 to enhance the spoken skills of the students, to improve their creativity and imagination and to provide them an opportunity to develop effective communication skills. The students actively participated in the competition and spoke on the given objects fluently. The judges and the teachers were really impressed with the way the students conducted themselves. The students enjoyed taking part in the competition. The winners were awarded with a certificate.




Fancy Dress Competition


Scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in school program for the all round development of the child. Keeping this in view, Rajendra Nagar Campus I conducted the Fancy Dress Competition for the students of Pre Primary section on 5th May 2020. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their own classmates. Children were dressed in their colourful costumes and spoke a few sentences on the character that they depicted. The effort and hard work of children was highly commendable. Students displayed their talents on the theme ‘My Idol’ with great zeal and enthusiasm. They dressed up as Freedom Fighters, the teacher, they idolize cricketers, soldiers, actors etc. and emphasized upon their tremendous hard work and achievements. The competition proved to be great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.




World Press Day


“Journalism is what maintains democracy. It’s the force for progressive social change.”

Media plays an important role in today’s life. It is the hard work and determination of our journalists that we are able to keep ourselves updated about the things happening across the globe. In honour of our media and journalists, students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated World Press Day. On this occasion the students were shown a video in which they were told about the hard work of the journalists and the role of press. The students made beautiful depicting the power of press. They also made a scrap book of the news headlines of the current issues. Students of the junior section took part in a speech competition on the topic “Power of press.” The students enjoyed the activity.




International Jazz Day Celebration


International Jazz Day is celebrated on 30th April every year to highlight the ability of jazz to unite people from all walks of life and draw together folks from around the globe. The day itself is intended to promote peace, diversity, respect among different cultures, and highlight the need for human rights and dignity. The music itself addresses the desire for eliminating discrimination.

It brings to light the need for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding through one of the best ways possible, music. On this occasion an Inter house western singing competition was organised in which the students participated enthusiastically. They sang western songs and played various instruments.




Labour Day Celebration


To celebrate this painstaking effort of the labour force, that work tirelessly, the International Worker’s Day also called as Labour Day, was celebrated at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on 1st May 2020 with great zeal. Labour Day is a reminder for us that these are the real architects of our society, and they deserve their due respect. We have always believed that small acts of kindness count and we attempt to inculcate that same virtue in our children.

The students of Primary and junior section celebrated the Labour Day by doing fun filled activities. They were involved in making ‘Thank You’ cards and badges. The teachers briefed the children about Labour Day and its importance. The children were overwhelmed by doing these acts of thankfulness and enjoyed the day.

The activity was designed to forge a better understanding of the labour community among our students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts. Overall it was a fruitful day which taught our little ones to be thankful to everyone.




Red Day Celebration


Can we imagine the world without colours? Not at all! Nature itself has many colours, which makes the world look beautiful. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. With this objective the students of Class MONTESSORI celebrated “Red Day” on the 30th April 2020 with great zeal.

The ‘Red Day’ celebration was a wonderful learning activity which helped the children to understand the concept of Primary Colours. Red colour also signifies Love and Compassion. To mark this day very special, students were dressed in red clothes. Students actively participated in story narration and rhyme recitation. The students drew and coloured various things which are red in colour like an apple, a rose etc. They also shared their pictures with different red coloured objects and toys. The students enjoyed the day.




Honesty Day Celebration


The students of Junior Section showed their love towards their pet animals on the occasion of World Veterinary Day.

On this occasion the teachers told the students about honesty through various stories and a power point presentation. The students showed various ways of being honest through their drawings. The teachers told the students different synonyms used for the word honesty. Some students made head gears for the same.

The School counsellor also took a session with the students telling them about honesty and the importance of being honest. The students enjoyed doing the activities.




Veterinary Day


The students of Junior Section showed their love towards their pet animals on the occasion of World Veterinary Day.



Market Day by Pre Primary


Market is a place which everyone loves to visit. Kids generally love to go to the market to purchase their toys, clothes and stationery.

The students of Kindergarten celebrated Market Day on 28th April 2020. The teachers took them on a virtual trip to a market. The students were told about various things they get in a market. The teachers also made them practice some common sentences which are spoken when we go to a market.

The students enjoyed the virtual trip.




Poetry Reading Day


Poetry Reading Day which is observed on 28th of April every year was celebrated by the students of classes I and II. The students of class I wrote their favourite poetry on a paper and decorated it. On the other hand, a poetry recitation competition was organised for the students of class II in which the students recited their favourite poem with proper intonation, expression and pronunciation. The competition was conducted live on the Hangout Meet in presence of the coordinators and the Headmistress. The students were marked on their confidence, expressions, pronunciation and diction.




Toy Day Celebration


Toys play a very important role in a child's life. Toys not only help children to express their feelings but also help them feel secure. Playing with toys develop various skills like fine, gross, language and social skills among children.

Students from Pre- Primary Section of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated toy day on 25 April 2020. They showed their favourite toy to their friends and teachers in the online classes and had a great time telling the features of their favourite toy. They learnt to express their feelings through show and tell. The children shared few things about their toy and why it was their favourite toy. After the class they shared their photo with their favourite toy. Little students had a great time playing with their favourite toys and telling about it to their teachers. The children had a big smile on their faces!



World Malaria Day


Every year, April 25th marks World Malaria Day. Malaria Free World is proud to be a part of the worldwide movement to eradicate malaria through awareness and innovation.

World Malaria Day was celebrated on 25 April 2020 at Rajendra Nagar Campus I. The teachers informed the students about the causes, symptoms and preventive measures to be taken as part of the fight to beat Malaria and also gave tips to avoid mosquito bites by using insect repellents, covering the arms and legs and use of a mosquito net. The students were told to keep their surroundings neat and clean and fill the pits with soil to avoid collection of water to eradicate spread of mosquitoes and also educate more people in their neighbourhood to join hands to work on the theme of this year: Zero Malaria starts with me.

On this occasion, a collage making contest was organized for the students on the topic “Zero Malaria Starts with Me.”. The students made beautiful collages giving complete information about the spread, prevention and cure of Malaria.




Virtual Learning


At a time when India is under a nationwide lockdown to fight the Corona virus Pandemic, City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I is going online to adapt the new reality. It has created a virtual learning infrastructure in which regular online classes according to a scheduled time table are being conducted for the students right from Montessori to class XII. When the brimming buddies of pre primary are enjoying their rhymes and activity classes, the senior students are totally engaged in their studies and the students of Primary and Juniors are busy understanding their base and concepts of various topics in their virtual classes. Apart from academics the teachers are taking full care of various activities be it craft making, virtual trips to various places, inter house competitions, celebrations or even the music and dance classes. Recently the students celebrated Baisakhi, Easter, Ambedkar Jayanti, World Health Day and World Heritage Day virtually. They also took part in various inter house competitions like poster making, dance etc in which they sent their drawings, videos and ppt's which were evaluated by the concerned teachers. The winners were also awarded with a certificate.

An online orientation program for the parents was also conducted on the 3rd and 4th of April to apprise the parents of the online classes in order to increase the effectiveness of these classes .Not only this but the teachers also conduct PLC's weekly to plan strategies and better methods of teaching.

The virtual school is running very smoothly at Rajendra Nagar Campus I and is appreciated by the parents.



Humorous Day Celebration


“ The most wasted of all days is the one without laughter.”

As it is said that laughter is the best medicine, so we should always try to be happy to stay healthy. The students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Humorous day on the 20th of April with great enthusiasm and excitement. On this occasion the teachers greeted the students in a very special and humorous way making funny faces. The students were shown funny videos and were asked to share their most funny pictures. The students also made smileys of various happy expressions. They prepared a collage also using pictures reflecting happiness. The students were also told about the benefits of laughing and being happy.




World Heritage Day Celebration


World Heritage Day was celebrated by the students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 18th of April with great zeal and fervour. The aim of celebrating the day was to promote cultural heritage and raise awareness about its diversity . The teachers motivated the students to respect, protect and conserve cultural heritage.

As part of the celebrations of World Heritage Day, a digital presentation was shown to the students on the theme, ‘Our Heritage is Our Wealth’. Through this medium the students were advised to preserve and conserve the cultural heritage. A virtual trip to various monuments of the world was organized for the students which they enjoyed a lot. They were taken to The Hanging Garden, they were shown the 360 degree view of The Taj Mahal. The students were also told about The Seven Wonders Of The World. The importance and significance of various historical monuments was explained to the students. They also made beautiful pop up cards on the occasion of World Heritage day.




Earth Day Celebration


The students of City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I were busy doing eco-friendly activities on the 22nd of April, 2020 to celebrated the 50th EARTH DAY with great aplomb.

The day started with the teacher’s talk on nature conservation and protecting Mother Earth. The students of Pre Primary, Primary and the Junior sections planted saplings in their houses. Apart from this they did various activities through which they depicted different ways of protecting Earth.

The students decorated the earth shaped cut outs through hand printing, tearing and pasting and made craft items using recycled materials. They made nature collage using twigs, flowers and leaves. They also made bottle planters and beautiful drawings related to Earth Day.

The teachers of the Primary and Junior sections also made musical presentations which were shown to the students to make them understand the importance of Mother Earth and their responsibility towards the planet.





World Health Day


Physical well being is an essential part of human well being. It is very rightly said that Health is wealth, so to make the students aware about the importance of health, the WORLD HEALTH DAY was celebrated online at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 7th of April 2020 with great pomp and show.

Different activities were organized for the students to highlight the significance of good health and well being. The students were told about the advantages of healthy food and healthy lifestyle through a video. The students were also told about the contribution of the nurses and the doctors, they were asked to acknowledge their efforts and say thank you to them. The students of classes I, II & III made beautiful drawings on healthy food and healthy habits. The students of class IV and V made posters on “safety measures for COVID’19”. They also prepared a video with their teachers “Wash CORONA Away” to spread awareness among the people.




Easter Celebration


Easter is a festival celebrated to commemo rate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is celebrated all over the world with great pomp and show. This year due to the lockdown, we all are at home, so the students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Easter from home. The teachers wished the students Happy Easter and told them the significance of the festival. The students made beautiful Easter crafts like paper roll bunnies and flowers. They also made drawings related to the festival and did tearing and pasting activity to make easter eggs. The teachers guided the students how to make the crafts using the waste material, the students made the crafts and shared the pics with their teachers. It was a fun filled activity for the students.





Baisakhi Celebration


Teaching, learning and celebrations cannot be confined to the four walls of the classroom. The students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Baisakhi in the evening  with great excitement. The teachers briefed the students about the significance and importance of the festival in the class. Later in the evening the students dressed themselves in Punjabi attire and danced on the tunes of Punjabi folk songs to celebrate Baisakhi. The celebration took place on the zoom app. The students wished eachother “Happy Baisakhi” and prayed for each others well being and good health.



Ambedkar Jayanti







PTM Orientation(Primary Section)


“A good beginning ensures a good ending.” Parents and teachers make a team and it is very rightly said that dreams come true when a team works through. Proper communication ensures good results but during these uncertain and hectic days. An online orientation programme was organized for the parents of the students of Pre Primary and Primary section of City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 3rd of April 2020. The orientation was taken up on the zoom app. The Principal Mrs Jayashree Krishnan and the Headmistress Mrs Supriya Vetma addressed the parents. The Principal then shared the school vision, the curriculum and the school systems with the parents. She laid stress on effective communication between the teachers and parents and gave tips to the parents as to how to raise kids so that they become not only disciplined but at the same time happy and responsible human beings. She emphasized on Spoken English and requested the parents to encourage their children in a positive manner. The class teacher told the parents about the online classes and the rules to be followed while attending the classes online and the subject teachers shared the guidelines regarding their subjects through a powerpoint presentation. The programme was very inspiring and enriching.




SUPW Exhibition


Students of class 9  at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I made SUPW project and displayed them in their classes. They made cloth bags out of T-shirts, jeans, old dupattas and paper bags out of paper. The motive was to "Say no to Plastic".




Scholastic book fair


"Today a reader,tomorrow a leader". To enhance the reading skills and develop an interestfor reading among the students, a four day Scholastic book fair was organized at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I. There were books for all age groups right from early childhood to the senior category. Parents and students turned up in large numbers to visit the fair and were very happy as there was a good collection of books for all the students.




Dental Checkup Camp


"A toothbrush cannot remove six-month tartar just thirty minutes before theappointment." It is very important to take regular and proper care of the teeth right from the childhood. Keeping this in mind a two-day dental diagnosis and awareness camp was organized at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I. The camp was conducted for all the students. A diagnostic check-up was done following which the required treatment module was explained to the students and their parents. The camp gave an opportunity to assess the oral health awareness among the students and learn about the oral hygiene practices which are if great importance in day to day life.




Republic Day Celebration


To celebrate the sovereignty of the Nation Republic Day was celebrated at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I in all its solemnity and grandeur. On this occasion a cultural programme was put up by the students in the school's assembly hall. The programme began with the prayer followed by the country pledge The choir group presented patriotic songs. The whole school joined the choir group and the songs rever berated in the surroundings. It was followed by anelocution of a patriotic poem which ignited a spark of patriotism in everyonesitting there. The students dressed as inspiring personalities gave motivational speeches. The students also presented a beautiful dance which was enjoyed byeveryone as the melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding. The Principal of the campus Respected Mrs Jayashree Krishnan blessed the students and guided them to serve the nation in every possible way. The programme ended with the National Anthem.




International Day of education


The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed January 24 asthe International Day of education to celebrate the role of education for peaceand development. To celebrate this day, the students at CMS Rajendra NagarCampus I wrote slogans on education and made pigeons -the symbol ofpeace. The students were also told about the role of education in promotingworld peace and harmony.




Janamashtami and Senior Citizens’ Day Celebration


Culture education is an essential aspect of the curriculum. To glorify the Indian tradition and to understand its importance, Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Janamashtami and Senior Citizens’ Day together on the 22nd of August 2019 with great zeal.

On this occasion a special assembly was organized for the students of the Primary Section. Children dressed up as Radha and Krishna were looking adorable. The assembly was made special by the presence of grandparents who came up on the stage and told the children the significance of Janamashtami. The children were excited to see their grandparents. The students presented an action song on the importance of grandparents. They also presented a beautiful dance performance on Janamashtami. The grandparents were overwhelmed to see their grand children dancing on the tunes of “Wo Krishna hai…”. They went to the classes and told the students stories about the life of Lord Krishna.

The students, staff and the grandparents enjoyed the celebration.






Independence Day Celebration (Pre-primary & Primary)


15th August 1947 is a red letter day in the history of India. We all celebrate this auspicious day every year with great pomp and show.

The students of the Primary Wing of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with a great aplomb. The students were in a festive mood asthey stepped into the school premises which was decorated with tricolor stripsand balloons. There primary students in colourful attire were looking f antabulous. All the teachers were also dressed in white which impressed the students the most. The students of Primary Section made tricolor badges and headgears which they wore with great pride. They also brought tri colored lunch to mark the occasion on 14th August.

In addition to this the main celebration took place at 8:30 am where some cultural programswere organized. All the students assembled in the assembly hall where the cultural programs were presented. The celebration started with the National Song followed by the Country pledge. The tiny tots of classes I and II dressed as the freedom fighters were looking adorable. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mrs. NeerajTripathi and Mrs. Gauri Sanwariya who were the judges for the Interhouse Dance Competition.Thestudents expressed their patriotic feelings through a wonderful medley of patriotic songs. The audience also enjoyed singing those Patriotic songs.

The programended with the blessings by the Principal followed by the National Anthem.





World Tigers’ Day


Saving our Environment isnot confined only to tree plantation drives but it also means to protect our natural resources and most importantly to protect our animals who are getting extinct.

In this context the ECO CLUB of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated The World Tigers’ Day on the 29th July, 2019. Onthis occasion the students made the masks of tiger and wrote facts about tigers in their scrapbooks. They made tiger faces using old plastic bottles. The students were told to protect these animals and protest against hunting to maintain the ecological balance. The students were told important facts about these animals which they listened with rapt attention. The tiny tots of the Primary section enjoyed celebrating the World Tigers’ Day. They coloured the tiger masks and pasted them in their drawing books.

This was a small initiative by the eco club of Rajendra Nagar I to create awareness among students about their environment. 




Orientation Day Report Junior Section (Class 8)


“A good beginning ensures a good ending.” Parents and teachers make a team and it isvery rightly said that dreams come true when a team works through.

An orientation programme was organized forthe parents of the students of class 8 at City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 9th of July 2019. The programme commenced with the School Prayer followed by the Welcome Speech by the Junior Co-ordinator, Mrs. Shobhna. She introduced the new Principal Mrs Jayashree Krishnan to the parents. The Principal then shared the school vision, the curriculum, the school systems, the co-scholastic activities and the assessment procedures with the parents. She laid stress on effective communication between theteachers and parents and gave tips to the parents as how to raise kids so that they become not only disciplined but at the same time happy and responsible human beings. She emphasized on Spoken English and requested the parents to encourage their children in a positive manner.

The subject teachers also shared the guidelines regarding their subjects. The programme was very inspiring and enriching. It concluded with the ‘Vote Of Thanks’ proposed by the Junior Co–ordinator.






Investiture Ceremony Primary Section


The students of the Primary Wing of Rajendra Nagar Campus I were filled with excitement today as  their new office bearers for the session 2019-20 were introduced to them.

The Investiture ceremony began with the Prayer followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Principal after which the proud members of the School’s Students’ Council marched forward to the stageand took the oath to perform all their duties with full devotion and dedication. The Principal then adorned the Head boy and the Head girl with the badges.

The school’s choir sang the song “Jai Jagat pukare ja…” when the council members were being clicked with respected Principal.




Interhouse Powerpoint Presentation


An Inter-House  PowerPoint Presentation Competition was held at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 20th of July 2019. The competition was a good opportunity to display the collaborative effort of students from different houses and classes. It brought forth a lovely amalgamation of intelligence, research, and creativity. Not only did the students gathered information on the topic but also found innovative ways of putting them across. They also studied the topic at length so that they could answer questions related to them.

The PPT’s encompassed avast variety of information related to the topic which was "Population boom-impact on the environment."

Vibrant templates, dramatic background effects, rich and informative content by all the teams made the judgement very difficult. All the Houses put up great presentations and faced the Question-Answer round ratherbravely. The winners of the competition were Svedha Trivedi and Yukabid Zehra who represented the Unity House.



Interhouse Human Tableau


Interhouse competitions are the best ways to develop team spirit among the students. An interhouse Human Tableau competition was organized for the students of Primary section on the 22nd of July 2019.

The participants made beautiful formations on various topics like Patriotism, National Flag, Oneness of mankind and victory of good overevil. Each team was given 2 min to take the formation and then they were asked to freeze in that position for 30 seconds.

The judges and the audience were highly impressed with the formation and they praised the teams with their applaud. The teams were judged on their expression, message, co-ordination and presentation. Peacehouse bagged the first prize followed by Hope house which got the second prize. The participants and the audience both enjoyed the competition.




Interhouse Chess Competition


To provide a platform for students to improve on logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem solving, an interhouse chess competition was organized for the students of the Primary wing of Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 20th of July, 2019.

There was an overwhelming response of around 40 students from each house. The competition was conducted intwo phases. In the first round the students of Love house competed with the students of Hope house and the students of Peace house competed with the students of Unity house. The winners from both the groups competed with each other inthe final round. Trisha of Peace house in the girls' category was the winner and Qaiser Naqi of Hope house was the winner in the boys' category.

It was a great experience for the teams. The students got a good opportunity to display their skills. It has assured us that Chess is a game wherein children learn to be responsible for their actions.



Nelson Mandela Day


Nelson Mandela International Day, also known as Mandela Day, is held on July 18 each year. The day remembers Mandela's achievements in working towards conflict resolution, democracy, humanrights, peace, and reconciliation.

To celebrate this day, an inter house Declamation competition was organized at the campus for the students of the Junior wing. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition and delivered the speeches of Nelson Mandela. In addition to this the students were also told about the contributions made by Nelson Mandela for the welfare of the people. A short film on Nelson Mandela was also shown to the students. 




Orientation Programme (Classes IX and X)


An orientation programme was conducted for the parents of the students of classes IX and X at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 10th of July 2019. The programme began with the school prayer and a hymn by the students of class X. The co-ordinator of the section, Mrs Reeta Rana introduced the new Principal to the parents. The Principal then addressed the parents and told them about the rules and regulations of the school. She updated the parents about the Council rules and examination. She told the parents to keep themselves updated of the school activities by goingthrough the diary everyday. After the orientation, the test copies and the comparative exam copies of classes IX and X respectively were shown to the parents. The hall was jam packed and the parents appreciated the updates given to them by the Principal. It was a highly enriching and effective programme.



World Population Day


“There is a huge population explosion around the globe. It is reported that every 12 years, another billion populationis added to the globe’s population.” Keeping this in  mind the UN General Assembly decided toobserve 11th of July as the World Population Day.

In order to make the children aware of the effects of the growing population, The World Population Day was celebratedat Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 11th of July, 2019. On this day the teachers discussed with the students some interesting facts related to the global population .They also told how a country’s population can contribute in the upliftment of the Nation. At the same time the students were told about the harmful effects of increasing population.

The children did various activities in theclasses. They made facts book on which they wrote different facts related tothe global population. They made badges highlighting the fact that World Population Day is celebrated on the 11th of July. They also wrote slogans and facts on beautiful writing pads which they placed on their softboards.



Van Mahotsav


City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar I was a buzz with activities on Saturday, 6th of July 2019 to celebrate VAN MAHOTSAV.

The advent of July was marked as the green revolution to celebrate Van Mahotsav week at Rajendra Nagar Campus I. Every day the students were told about the importance of trees and forests, benefits of tree plantation, harmful effects of deforestation during the assembly time. The celebration ended on Saturday with a number of activities performed by the students of the different sections.

A special assembly was organized by the students of the Junior wing to spread awareness on the harmful effects of deforestation. They recited a poem on nature and sang the song “Na Kato Mujhe”. Saplings were brought by the students and kept in the classroom and later on given to the gardener of the campus to be planted in the campus garden. Softboards were decorated with the theme “Van Mahotsav.” Various competitions like slogan writing, collage making and speech were conducted for the students of the junior wing on Save Trees, Save Environment.

The students of the Primary section performed different activities on the theme “Save Trees”. They made beautiful collage and wrote inspiring slogans. On the occasion of Van Mahotsava, the students pledged to conserve energy and save environment. They made the cutouts of trees and wrote poems, quotes and slogans on it.

In a special assembly conducted on the 5th and 6th of July the students were told about the importance of trees through a wonderful skit and a talk show. The students planted saplings and made a nature’s corner in their classrooms. The students were also told that trees are a must to keep our planet cool and only by planting trees can we keep the Earth healthy and provide a clean and green environment.



Global Forgiveness Day


As it is very rightly said “Forgiveness is the beauty of saints.”, so to tell the importance of being forgiving to the students Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Global  Forgiveness Day on the 6th of July 2019.

Moral values should be inculcated in the children from the very childhood. Keeping this in mind the teachers tell the students about different virtues, their importance and their influence on the personality of a person everyone but on the 6th of July the focus was on “FORGIVENESS”. The students were told different stories about great people who were known for their forgiveness. The students enjoyed listening to their teachers.

Since we believe in learning by doing so the students did different activities to celebrate the Global Forgiveness day. The students made sorry and thank you cards which they gave to their friends. The students also prepared ‘four partapology’ where they admitted their mistake, asked for forgiveness and promised not to repeat it again.

At the end of the day the students promised to develop the habit of forgiveness in themselves.


Dussehra Celebration


Dussehra was celebrated with a lot of fervor and ardor at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 5th of October 2019.

On this occasion a spectacular one act Ramlila was staged by the students of the Primary Section in which they presented the scenes from the banishment of Lord Ram from Ayodhya till his victory over Ravan. The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride is the reason of his downfall. The students were also told to follow the footsteps of Lord Ram and be obedient to their parents, teachers and all elders. The students of Primary and Pre Primary sections danced on the tunes of “Jogeera Tara” and “ Ma Shero Wali”. The tiny tots of the Pre Primary section dressed as Ram, Laxman, Sita and Ravan added tothe festivity. A special Dandiya was performed by the teachers which the students enjoyed the most.

The students did various activities in the class. They made beautiful face masks of Ravan and Goddess Durga. They also made wonderful models of Ravan.  There was festivity all around and everyone enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Here at City Montessori School children not only learn but also explore the world and discover themselves. We adhere to the play way method which allows children to do things themselves, got innovative with problems and learn the nuances of life their way so that learning becomes a joyful experience for the child and instills in him the love for learning and the quest to know more.

GREEN DAY


The various life forms on earth are facing an existential crisis as the earth is being engulfed by a monster called pollution. To counter this crisis several places and institutions have been declaring Green Day, so as to maximize the usage of green products i.e. products that won't harm the environment. The students in CMS celebrated Green Day by planting trees, doing gardening and other activities like hand printing to underline the importance of saving the Earth. In this way they indulged in merry making while also learning that there remains a delicate balance between us and the environment which should be maintained or could spell doom for us.

Yoga Day


"Yog- the scientific way of living healthy"

21st of June was a very special day for the teachers and the students at Rajendra Nagar Campus I. The students and the teachers practiced Yoga for 1 hour to celebrate the International Yoga Day which was initiated, pioneered, emphasized and advocated by our Honorable PM Sri Narendra Modi in 2015 just to tell nations about the benefits of Yoga.

The yoga practice started at 8:30 a.m. and continued till 9:30 a.m. at Rajendra Nagar I on 21st June 2016 where the Yoga teacher discussed and demonstrated some ways and dimensions of different types of pranayam. He reckoned many benefits of early rising and practicing yoga. Teachers also pointed out the contribution of yoga in maintaining fitness and good health and how it helps students to memorize something.

The children were very happy as they got a chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body.

VAN MOHATSAV


City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar I was abuzz with activities on Saturday the 9th of July 2016 to celebrate VAN MAHOTSAV.The advent of July was marked as the green revolution to celebrate Van Mahotsav week at Rajendra Nagar I. Everyday the students were told about the importance of trees and forests, benefits of tree plantation, harmful effects of deforestation during the assembly time. The celebration ended on Saturday with a number of activities performed by the little kids of primary section.

A special assembly was organized by the students of Class V where the students took a pledge to plant atleast one sapling every year. They initiated this drive from the school assembly itself by planting the saplings. The students of class III and IV made collage and wrote beautiful slogan on the Importance of trees.

The students of class III also made beautiful head gears and took out a procession in the campus requesting everyone to save trees. The students of classes I and II made trees using finger printing and collage by paper tearing.The students enjoyed the activities and also understood the importance of trees.


Mother’s Day Celebration


Students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated the untiring efforts and selfless love of their mothers on 10th of May. On this occasion, they made beautiful cards, photo frames and bouquets as a token of love for their mothers. They shared the precious and beautiful moments spent with their mothers on Mother’s Day. They tried to bring a smile on their mother’s face with these little gestures of love. Even the lockdown could not stop them from enjoying and spending time with their mothers to celebrate this very special day. It is truly said, “No words can express the power and beauty of a mother’s love for it is higher than the heavens and deeper than the oceans.” On this very special day, the campus organized various activities for the mothers like dancing, cake making and flower arrangement. The mothers enthusiastically took part in the competitions and thanked the teachers for making the day so special for them by organizing the competitions.






Rabindra Nath Tagore Jayanti


Rabindra nath Tagore Jayanti is a cultural celebration to mark the birth anniversary of the luminary, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rabindranath Tagore. It is celebrated annually and globally in May. While Gitanjali is considered Tagore’s tour de force, he was also a prolific songwriter. In remembrance and reverence for the polymath that Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was, cultural programmes and events are held during the course of the day but this year due to the outbreak of COVID’ 19 , no cultural programmes were held but his birthday was celebrated online. The students made his portraits and wrote his sayings and slogans. They also wrote about his famous works. Some students composed poems on his life and works and also wrote essays on him. He was an inspiration for all.




Interhouse Show And Tell Competition


Show and tell is an important part of a child’s learning development, as it helps them to organize information and build their confidence. It helps the child to think out of the box. An Inter-house Show and Tell competition was organized for the students of class 2 on the 9th of May, 2020 to enhance the spoken skills of the students, to improve their creativity and imagination and to provide them an opportunity to develop effective communication skills. The students actively participated in the competition and spoke on the given objects fluently. The judges and the teachers were really impressed with the way the students conducted themselves. The students enjoyed taking part in the competition. The winners were awarded with a certificate.




Fancy Dress Competition


Scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in school program for the all round development of the child. Keeping this in view, Rajendra Nagar Campus I conducted the Fancy Dress Competition for the students of Pre Primary section on 5th May 2020. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their own classmates. Children were dressed in their colourful costumes and spoke a few sentences on the character that they depicted. The effort and hard work of children was highly commendable. Students displayed their talents on the theme ‘My Idol’ with great zeal and enthusiasm. They dressed up as Freedom Fighters, the teacher, they idolize cricketers, soldiers, actors etc. and emphasized upon their tremendous hard work and achievements. The competition proved to be great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.




World Press Day


“Journalism is what maintains democracy. It’s the force for progressive social change.”

Media plays an important role in today’s life. It is the hard work and determination of our journalists that we are able to keep ourselves updated about the things happening across the globe. In honour of our media and journalists, students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated World Press Day. On this occasion the students were shown a video in which they were told about the hard work of the journalists and the role of press. The students made beautiful depicting the power of press. They also made a scrap book of the news headlines of the current issues. Students of the junior section took part in a speech competition on the topic “Power of press.” The students enjoyed the activity.




International Jazz Day Celebration


International Jazz Day is celebrated on 30th April every year to highlight the ability of jazz to unite people from all walks of life and draw together folks from around the globe. The day itself is intended to promote peace, diversity, respect among different cultures, and highlight the need for human rights and dignity. The music itself addresses the desire for eliminating discrimination.

It brings to light the need for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding through one of the best ways possible, music. On this occasion an Inter house western singing competition was organised in which the students participated enthusiastically. They sang western songs and played various instruments.




Labour Day Celebration


To celebrate this painstaking effort of the labour force, that work tirelessly, the International Worker’s Day also called as Labour Day, was celebrated at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on 1st May 2020 with great zeal. Labour Day is a reminder for us that these are the real architects of our society, and they deserve their due respect. We have always believed that small acts of kindness count and we attempt to inculcate that same virtue in our children.

The students of Primary and junior section celebrated the Labour Day by doing fun filled activities. They were involved in making ‘Thank You’ cards and badges. The teachers briefed the children about Labour Day and its importance. The children were overwhelmed by doing these acts of thankfulness and enjoyed the day.

The activity was designed to forge a better understanding of the labour community among our students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts. Overall it was a fruitful day which taught our little ones to be thankful to everyone.




Red Day Celebration


Can we imagine the world without colours? Not at all! Nature itself has many colours, which makes the world look beautiful. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. With this objective the students of Class MONTESSORI celebrated “Red Day” on the 30th April 2020 with great zeal.

The ‘Red Day’ celebration was a wonderful learning activity which helped the children to understand the concept of Primary Colours. Red colour also signifies Love and Compassion. To mark this day very special, students were dressed in red clothes. Students actively participated in story narration and rhyme recitation. The students drew and coloured various things which are red in colour like an apple, a rose etc. They also shared their pictures with different red coloured objects and toys. The students enjoyed the day.




Honesty Day Celebration


The students of Junior Section showed their love towards their pet animals on the occasion of World Veterinary Day.

On this occasion the teachers told the students about honesty through various stories and a power point presentation. The students showed various ways of being honest through their drawings. The teachers told the students different synonyms used for the word honesty. Some students made head gears for the same.

The School counsellor also took a session with the students telling them about honesty and the importance of being honest. The students enjoyed doing the activities.




Veterinary Day


The students of Junior Section showed their love towards their pet animals on the occasion of World Veterinary Day.



Market Day by Pre Primary


Market is a place which everyone loves to visit. Kids generally love to go to the market to purchase their toys, clothes and stationery.

The students of Kindergarten celebrated Market Day on 28th April 2020. The teachers took them on a virtual trip to a market. The students were told about various things they get in a market. The teachers also made them practice some common sentences which are spoken when we go to a market.

The students enjoyed the virtual trip.




Poetry Reading Day


Poetry Reading Day which is observed on 28th of April every year was celebrated by the students of classes I and II. The students of class I wrote their favourite poetry on a paper and decorated it. On the other hand, a poetry recitation competition was organised for the students of class II in which the students recited their favourite poem with proper intonation, expression and pronunciation. The competition was conducted live on the Hangout Meet in presence of the coordinators and the Headmistress. The students were marked on their confidence, expressions, pronunciation and diction.




Toy Day Celebration


Toys play a very important role in a child's life. Toys not only help children to express their feelings but also help them feel secure. Playing with toys develop various skills like fine, gross, language and social skills among children.

Students from Pre- Primary Section of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated toy day on 25 April 2020. They showed their favourite toy to their friends and teachers in the online classes and had a great time telling the features of their favourite toy. They learnt to express their feelings through show and tell. The children shared few things about their toy and why it was their favourite toy. After the class they shared their photo with their favourite toy. Little students had a great time playing with their favourite toys and telling about it to their teachers. The children had a big smile on their faces!



World Malaria Day


Every year, April 25th marks World Malaria Day. Malaria Free World is proud to be a part of the worldwide movement to eradicate malaria through awareness and innovation.

World Malaria Day was celebrated on 25 April 2020 at Rajendra Nagar Campus I. The teachers informed the students about the causes, symptoms and preventive measures to be taken as part of the fight to beat Malaria and also gave tips to avoid mosquito bites by using insect repellents, covering the arms and legs and use of a mosquito net. The students were told to keep their surroundings neat and clean and fill the pits with soil to avoid collection of water to eradicate spread of mosquitoes and also educate more people in their neighbourhood to join hands to work on the theme of this year: Zero Malaria starts with me.

On this occasion, a collage making contest was organized for the students on the topic “Zero Malaria Starts with Me.”. The students made beautiful collages giving complete information about the spread, prevention and cure of Malaria.




Virtual Learning


At a time when India is under a nationwide lockdown to fight the Corona virus Pandemic, City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I is going online to adapt the new reality. It has created a virtual learning infrastructure in which regular online classes according to a scheduled time table are being conducted for the students right from Montessori to class XII. When the brimming buddies of pre primary are enjoying their rhymes and activity classes, the senior students are totally engaged in their studies and the students of Primary and Juniors are busy understanding their base and concepts of various topics in their virtual classes. Apart from academics the teachers are taking full care of various activities be it craft making, virtual trips to various places, inter house competitions, celebrations or even the music and dance classes. Recently the students celebrated Baisakhi, Easter, Ambedkar Jayanti, World Health Day and World Heritage Day virtually. They also took part in various inter house competitions like poster making, dance etc in which they sent their drawings, videos and ppt's which were evaluated by the concerned teachers. The winners were also awarded with a certificate.

An online orientation program for the parents was also conducted on the 3rd and 4th of April to apprise the parents of the online classes in order to increase the effectiveness of these classes .Not only this but the teachers also conduct PLC's weekly to plan strategies and better methods of teaching.

The virtual school is running very smoothly at Rajendra Nagar Campus I and is appreciated by the parents.



Humorous Day Celebration


“ The most wasted of all days is the one without laughter.”

As it is said that laughter is the best medicine, so we should always try to be happy to stay healthy. The students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Humorous day on the 20th of April with great enthusiasm and excitement. On this occasion the teachers greeted the students in a very special and humorous way making funny faces. The students were shown funny videos and were asked to share their most funny pictures. The students also made smileys of various happy expressions. They prepared a collage also using pictures reflecting happiness. The students were also told about the benefits of laughing and being happy.




World Heritage Day Celebration


World Heritage Day was celebrated by the students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 18th of April with great zeal and fervour. The aim of celebrating the day was to promote cultural heritage and raise awareness about its diversity . The teachers motivated the students to respect, protect and conserve cultural heritage.

As part of the celebrations of World Heritage Day, a digital presentation was shown to the students on the theme, ‘Our Heritage is Our Wealth’. Through this medium the students were advised to preserve and conserve the cultural heritage. A virtual trip to various monuments of the world was organized for the students which they enjoyed a lot. They were taken to The Hanging Garden, they were shown the 360 degree view of The Taj Mahal. The students were also told about The Seven Wonders Of The World. The importance and significance of various historical monuments was explained to the students. They also made beautiful pop up cards on the occasion of World Heritage day.




Earth Day Celebration


The students of City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I were busy doing eco-friendly activities on the 22nd of April, 2020 to celebrated the 50th EARTH DAY with great aplomb.

The day started with the teacher’s talk on nature conservation and protecting Mother Earth. The students of Pre Primary, Primary and the Junior sections planted saplings in their houses. Apart from this they did various activities through which they depicted different ways of protecting Earth.

The students decorated the earth shaped cut outs through hand printing, tearing and pasting and made craft items using recycled materials. They made nature collage using twigs, flowers and leaves. They also made bottle planters and beautiful drawings related to Earth Day.

The teachers of the Primary and Junior sections also made musical presentations which were shown to the students to make them understand the importance of Mother Earth and their responsibility towards the planet.





World Health Day


Physical well being is an essential part of human well being. It is very rightly said that Health is wealth, so to make the students aware about the importance of health, the WORLD HEALTH DAY was celebrated online at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 7th of April 2020 with great pomp and show.

Different activities were organized for the students to highlight the significance of good health and well being. The students were told about the advantages of healthy food and healthy lifestyle through a video. The students were also told about the contribution of the nurses and the doctors, they were asked to acknowledge their efforts and say thank you to them. The students of classes I, II & III made beautiful drawings on healthy food and healthy habits. The students of class IV and V made posters on “safety measures for COVID’19”. They also prepared a video with their teachers “Wash CORONA Away” to spread awareness among the people.




Easter Celebration


Easter is a festival celebrated to commemo rate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is celebrated all over the world with great pomp and show. This year due to the lockdown, we all are at home, so the students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Easter from home. The teachers wished the students Happy Easter and told them the significance of the festival. The students made beautiful Easter crafts like paper roll bunnies and flowers. They also made drawings related to the festival and did tearing and pasting activity to make easter eggs. The teachers guided the students how to make the crafts using the waste material, the students made the crafts and shared the pics with their teachers. It was a fun filled activity for the students.





Baisakhi Celebration


Teaching, learning and celebrations cannot be confined to the four walls of the classroom. The students of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Baisakhi in the evening  with great excitement. The teachers briefed the students about the significance and importance of the festival in the class. Later in the evening the students dressed themselves in Punjabi attire and danced on the tunes of Punjabi folk songs to celebrate Baisakhi. The celebration took place on the zoom app. The students wished eachother “Happy Baisakhi” and prayed for each others well being and good health.

PTM Orientation(Primary Section)


“A good beginning ensures a good ending.” Parents and teachers make a team and it is very rightly said that dreams come true when a team works through. Proper communication ensures good results but during these uncertain and hectic days. An online orientation programme was organized for the parents of the students of Pre Primary and Primary section of City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 3rd of April 2020. The orientation was taken up on the zoom app. The Principal Mrs Jayashree Krishnan and the Headmistress Mrs Supriya Vetma addressed the parents. The Principal then shared the school vision, the curriculum and the school systems with the parents. She laid stress on effective communication between the teachers and parents and gave tips to the parents as to how to raise kids so that they become not only disciplined but at the same time happy and responsible human beings. She emphasized on Spoken English and requested the parents to encourage their children in a positive manner. The class teacher told the parents about the online classes and the rules to be followed while attending the classes online and the subject teachers shared the guidelines regarding their subjects through a powerpoint presentation. The programme was very inspiring and enriching.




SUPW Exhibition


Students of class 9  at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I made SUPW project and displayed them in their classes. They made cloth bags out of T-shirts, jeans, old dupattas and paper bags out of paper. The motive was to "Say no to Plastic".




Scholastic book fair


"Today a reader,tomorrow a leader". To enhance the reading skills and develop an interestfor reading among the students, a four day Scholastic book fair was organized at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I. There were books for all age groups right from early childhood to the senior category. Parents and students turned up in large numbers to visit the fair and were very happy as there was a good collection of books for all the students.




Dental Checkup Camp


"A toothbrush cannot remove six-month tartar just thirty minutes before theappointment." It is very important to take regular and proper care of the teeth right from the childhood. Keeping this in mind a two-day dental diagnosis and awareness camp was organized at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I. The camp was conducted for all the students. A diagnostic check-up was done following which the required treatment module was explained to the students and their parents. The camp gave an opportunity to assess the oral health awareness among the students and learn about the oral hygiene practices which are if great importance in day to day life.




Republic Day Celebration


To celebrate the sovereignty of the Nation Republic Day was celebrated at CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I in all its solemnity and grandeur. On this occasion a cultural programme was put up by the students in the school's assembly hall. The programme began with the prayer followed by the country pledge The choir group presented patriotic songs. The whole school joined the choir group and the songs rever berated in the surroundings. It was followed by anelocution of a patriotic poem which ignited a spark of patriotism in everyonesitting there. The students dressed as inspiring personalities gave motivational speeches. The students also presented a beautiful dance which was enjoyed byeveryone as the melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding. The Principal of the campus Respected Mrs Jayashree Krishnan blessed the students and guided them to serve the nation in every possible way. The programme ended with the National Anthem.




International Day of education


The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed January 24 asthe International Day of education to celebrate the role of education for peaceand development. To celebrate this day, the students at CMS Rajendra NagarCampus I wrote slogans on education and made pigeons -the symbol ofpeace. The students were also told about the role of education in promotingworld peace and harmony.




Janamashtami and Senior Citizens’ Day Celebration


Culture education is an essential aspect of the curriculum. To glorify the Indian tradition and to understand its importance, Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Janamashtami and Senior Citizens’ Day together on the 22nd of August 2019 with great zeal.

On this occasion a special assembly was organized for the students of the Primary Section. Children dressed up as Radha and Krishna were looking adorable. The assembly was made special by the presence of grandparents who came up on the stage and told the children the significance of Janamashtami. The children were excited to see their grandparents. The students presented an action song on the importance of grandparents. They also presented a beautiful dance performance on Janamashtami. The grandparents were overwhelmed to see their grand children dancing on the tunes of “Wo Krishna hai…”. They went to the classes and told the students stories about the life of Lord Krishna.

The students, staff and the grandparents enjoyed the celebration.






Independence Day Celebration (Pre-primary & Primary)


15th August 1947 is a red letter day in the history of India. We all celebrate this auspicious day every year with great pomp and show.

The students of the Primary Wing of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with a great aplomb. The students were in a festive mood asthey stepped into the school premises which was decorated with tricolor stripsand balloons. There primary students in colourful attire were looking f antabulous. All the teachers were also dressed in white which impressed the students the most. The students of Primary Section made tricolor badges and headgears which they wore with great pride. They also brought tri colored lunch to mark the occasion on 14th August.

In addition to this the main celebration took place at 8:30 am where some cultural programswere organized. All the students assembled in the assembly hall where the cultural programs were presented. The celebration started with the National Song followed by the Country pledge. The tiny tots of classes I and II dressed as the freedom fighters were looking adorable. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mrs. NeerajTripathi and Mrs. Gauri Sanwariya who were the judges for the Interhouse Dance Competition.Thestudents expressed their patriotic feelings through a wonderful medley of patriotic songs. The audience also enjoyed singing those Patriotic songs.

The programended with the blessings by the Principal followed by the National Anthem.





World Tigers’ Day


Saving our Environment isnot confined only to tree plantation drives but it also means to protect our natural resources and most importantly to protect our animals who are getting extinct.

In this context the ECO CLUB of Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated The World Tigers’ Day on the 29th July, 2019. Onthis occasion the students made the masks of tiger and wrote facts about tigers in their scrapbooks. They made tiger faces using old plastic bottles. The students were told to protect these animals and protest against hunting to maintain the ecological balance. The students were told important facts about these animals which they listened with rapt attention. The tiny tots of the Primary section enjoyed celebrating the World Tigers’ Day. They coloured the tiger masks and pasted them in their drawing books.

This was a small initiative by the eco club of Rajendra Nagar I to create awareness among students about their environment. 




Orientation Day Report Junior Section (Class 8)

The programme commenced with the School Prayer followed by the Welcome Speech by the Junior Co-ordinator, Mrs. Shobhna. She introduced the new Principal Mrs Jayashree Krishnan to the parents. The Principal then shared the school vision, the curriculum, the school systems, the co-scholastic activities and the assessment procedures with the parents. She laid stress on effective communication between theteachers and parents and gave tips to the parents as how to raise kids so that they become not only disciplined but at the same time happy and responsible human beings. She emphasized on Spoken English and requested the parents to encourage their children in a positive manner.

The subject teachers also shared the guidelines regarding their subjects. The programme was very inspiring and enriching. It concluded with the ‘Vote Of Thanks’ proposed by the Junior Co–ordinator.






Investiture Ceremony Primary Section


The students of the Primary Wing of Rajendra Nagar Campus I were filled with excitement today as  their new office bearers for the session 2019-20 were introduced to them.

The Investiture ceremony began with the Prayer followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Principal after which the proud members of the School’s Students’ Council marched forward to the stageand took the oath to perform all their duties with full devotion and dedication. The Principal then adorned the Head boy and the Head girl with the badges.

The school’s choir sang the song “Jai Jagat pukare ja…” when the council members were being clicked with respected Principal.




Interhouse Powerpoint Presentation


An Inter-House  PowerPoint Presentation Competition was held at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 20th of July 2019. The competition was a good opportunity to display the collaborative effort of students from different houses and classes. It brought forth a lovely amalgamation of intelligence, research, and creativity. Not only did the students gathered information on the topic but also found innovative ways of putting them across. They also studied the topic at length so that they could answer questions related to them.

The PPT’s encompassed avast variety of information related to the topic which was "Population boom-impact on the environment."

Vibrant templates, dramatic background effects, rich and informative content by all the teams made the judgement very difficult. All the Houses put up great presentations and faced the Question-Answer round ratherbravely. The winners of the competition were Svedha Trivedi and Yukabid Zehra who represented the Unity House.



Interhouse Human Tableau


Interhouse competitions are the best ways to develop team spirit among the students. An interhouse Human Tableau competition was organized for the students of Primary section on the 22nd of July 2019.

The participants made beautiful formations on various topics like Patriotism, National Flag, Oneness of mankind and victory of good overevil. Each team was given 2 min to take the formation and then they were asked to freeze in that position for 30 seconds.

The judges and the audience were highly impressed with the formation and they praised the teams with their applaud. The teams were judged on their expression, message, co-ordination and presentation. Peacehouse bagged the first prize followed by Hope house which got the second prize. The participants and the audience both enjoyed the competition.




Interhouse Chess Competition


To provide a platform for students to improve on logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem solving, an interhouse chess competition was organized for the students of the Primary wing of Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 20th of July, 2019.

There was an overwhelming response of around 40 students from each house. The competition was conducted intwo phases. In the first round the students of Love house competed with the students of Hope house and the students of Peace house competed with the students of Unity house. The winners from both the groups competed with each other inthe final round. Trisha of Peace house in the girls' category was the winner and Qaiser Naqi of Hope house was the winner in the boys' category.

It was a great experience for the teams. The students got a good opportunity to display their skills. It has assured us that Chess is a game wherein children learn to be responsible for their actions.



Nelson Mandela Day


Nelson Mandela International Day, also known as Mandela Day, is held on July 18 each year. The day remembers Mandela's achievements in working towards conflict resolution, democracy, humanrights, peace, and reconciliation.

To celebrate this day, an inter house Declamation competition was organized at the campus for the students of the Junior wing. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition and delivered the speeches of Nelson Mandela. In addition to this the students were also told about the contributions made by Nelson Mandela for the welfare of the people. A short film on Nelson Mandela was also shown to the students. 




Orientation Programme (Classes IX and X)


An orientation programme was conducted for the parents of the students of classes IX and X at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 10th of July 2019. The programme began with the school prayer and a hymn by the students of class X. The co-ordinator of the section, Mrs Reeta Rana introduced the new Principal to the parents. The Principal then addressed the parents and told them about the rules and regulations of the school. She updated the parents about the Council rules and examination. She told the parents to keep themselves updated of the school activities by goingthrough the diary everyday. After the orientation, the test copies and the comparative exam copies of classes IX and X respectively were shown to the parents. The hall was jam packed and the parents appreciated the updates given to them by the Principal. It was a highly enriching and effective programme.



World Population Day


“There is a huge population explosion around the globe. It is reported that every 12 years, another billion populationis added to the globe’s population.” Keeping this in  mind the UN General Assembly decided toobserve 11th of July as the World Population Day.

In order to make the children aware of the effects of the growing population, The World Population Day was celebratedat Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 11th of July, 2019. On this day the teachers discussed with the students some interesting facts related to the global population .They also told how a country’s population can contribute in the upliftment of the Nation. At the same time the students were told about the harmful effects of increasing population.

The children did various activities in theclasses. They made facts book on which they wrote different facts related tothe global population. They made badges highlighting the fact that World Population Day is celebrated on the 11th of July. They also wrote slogans and facts on beautiful writing pads which they placed on their softboards.



Van Mahotsav


City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar I was a buzz with activities on Saturday, 6th of July 2019 to celebrate VAN MAHOTSAV.

The advent of July was marked as the green revolution to celebrate Van Mahotsav week at Rajendra Nagar Campus I. Every day the students were told about the importance of trees and forests, benefits of tree plantation, harmful effects of deforestation during the assembly time. The celebration ended on Saturday with a number of activities performed by the students of the different sections.

A special assembly was organized by the students of the Junior wing to spread awareness on the harmful effects of deforestation. They recited a poem on nature and sang the song “Na Kato Mujhe”. Saplings were brought by the students and kept in the classroom and later on given to the gardener of the campus to be planted in the campus garden. Softboards were decorated with the theme “Van Mahotsav.” Various competitions like slogan writing, collage making and speech were conducted for the students of the junior wing on Save Trees, Save Environment.

The students of the Primary section performed different activities on the theme “Save Trees”. They made beautiful collage and wrote inspiring slogans. On the occasion of Van Mahotsava, the students pledged to conserve energy and save environment. They made the cutouts of trees and wrote poems, quotes and slogans on it.

In a special assembly conducted on the 5th and 6th of July the students were told about the importance of trees through a wonderful skit and a talk show. The students planted saplings and made a nature’s corner in their classrooms. The students were also told that trees are a must to keep our planet cool and only by planting trees can we keep the Earth healthy and provide a clean and green environment.



Global Forgiveness Day


As it is very rightly said “Forgiveness is the beauty of saints.”, so to tell the importance of being forgiving to the students Rajendra Nagar Campus I celebrated Global  Forgiveness Day on the 6th of July 2019.

Moral values should be inculcated in the children from the very childhood. Keeping this in mind the teachers tell the students about different virtues, their importance and their influence on the personality of a person everyone but on the 6th of July the focus was on “FORGIVENESS”. The students were told different stories about great people who were known for their forgiveness. The students enjoyed listening to their teachers.

Since we believe in learning by doing so the students did different activities to celebrate the Global Forgiveness day. The students made sorry and thank you cards which they gave to their friends. The students also prepared ‘four partapology’ where they admitted their mistake, asked for forgiveness and promised not to repeat it again.

At the end of the day the students promised to develop the habit of forgiveness in themselves.


Dussehra Celebration


Dussehra was celebrated with a lot of fervor and ardor at Rajendra Nagar Campus I on the 5th of October 2019.

On this occasion a spectacular one act Ramlila was staged by the students of the Primary Section in which they presented the scenes from the banishment of Lord Ram from Ayodhya till his victory over Ravan. The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride is the reason of his downfall. The students were also told to follow the footsteps of Lord Ram and be obedient to their parents, teachers and all elders. The students of Primary and Pre Primary sections danced on the tunes of “Jogeera Tara” and “ Ma Shero Wali”. The tiny tots of the Pre Primary section dressed as Ram, Laxman, Sita and Ravan added tothe festivity. A special Dandiya was performed by the teachers which the students enjoyed the most.

The students did various activities in the class. They made beautiful face masks of Ravan and Goddess Durga. They also made wonderful models of Ravan.  There was festivity all around and everyone enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Here at City Montessori School children not only learn but also explore the world and discover themselves. We adhere to the play way method which allows children to do things themselves, got innovative with problems and learn the nuances of life their way so that learning becomes a joyful experience for the child and instills in him the love for learning and the quest to know more.

GREEN DAY


The various life forms on earth are facing an existential crisis as the earth is being engulfed by a monster called pollution. To counter this crisis several places and institutions have been declaring Green Day, so as to maximize the usage of green products i.e. products that won't harm the environment. The students in CMS celebrated Green Day by planting trees, doing gardening and other activities like hand printing to underline the importance of saving the Earth. In this way they indulged in merry making while also learning that there remains a delicate balance between us and the environment which should be maintained or could spell doom for us.

Yoga Day


"Yog- the scientific way of living healthy"

21st of June was a very special day for the teachers and the students at Rajendra Nagar Campus I. The students and the teachers practiced Yoga for 1 hour to celebrate the International Yoga Day which was initiated, pioneered, emphasized and advocated by our Honorable PM Sri Narendra Modi in 2015 just to tell nations about the benefits of Yoga.

The yoga practice started at 8:30 a.m. and continued till 9:30 a.m. at Rajendra Nagar I on 21st June 2016 where the Yoga teacher discussed and demonstrated some ways and dimensions of different types of pranayam. He reckoned many benefits of early rising and practicing yoga. Teachers also pointed out the contribution of yoga in maintaining fitness and good health and how it helps students to memorize something.

The children were very happy as they got a chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body.

VAN MOHATSAV


City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar I was abuzz with activities on Saturday the 9th of July 2016 to celebrate VAN MAHOTSAV.The advent of July was marked as the green revolution to celebrate Van Mahotsav week at Rajendra Nagar I. Everyday the students were told about the importance of trees and forests, benefits of tree plantation, harmful effects of deforestation during the assembly time. The celebration ended on Saturday with a number of activities performed by the little kids of primary section.

A special assembly was organized by the students of Class V where the students took a pledge to plant atleast one sapling every year. They initiated this drive from the school assembly itself by planting the saplings. The students of class III and IV made collage and wrote beautiful slogan on the Importance of trees.

The students of class III also made beautiful head gears and took out a procession in the campus requesting everyone to save trees. The students of classes I and II made trees using finger printing and collage by paper tearing.The students enjoyed the activities and also understood the importance of trees.

INTERNATIONAL MOTHER EARTH DAY


The City Montessori School Rajendra Nagar Campus 1 was abuzz with activities on Friday 22nd April and celebrated the International Mother Earth Day. Banners and colourful charts were put up reading "GO GREEN" and "PLANT A TREE TODAY" .Children learnt the importance of preserving planet earth. A tree plantation drive was organized by the students of classes 1 and 2. An Inter house drawing competition was also organized wherein the students of primary section painted their thoughts on "NATURE CONSERVATION".

The students of class 4 made a booklet named "My fact book on earth" where they wrote interesting facts about Mother Earth. Moreover the students of class 5 gave fantastic ideas on "Saving Energy". Last but not the least the students of class 3 made crafts from the recycled materials and hence explained the importance of recycling.The day ended with a special assembly where the students were informed about the importance of Earth Day. A play "The Earth Story" was enacted in the assembly which motivated everyone to keep the planet beautiful as ever. In the end the students took a pledge to keep their earth cleaner, greener and better.
