Global Hand wash Day

In collaboration with UNICEF we the Pre Primary section of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I observed global hand wash day on October 15, 2018.

The children were educated about the importance of cleanliness in general and hand cleanliness in particular. They were told that because the hands play an important role in carrying things their cleanliness amounts to our general health. The proper way of cleaning was demonstrated to them and they loved every bit of information.

They later pledged that they would wash their hands and ensure that they will take care of their wellbeing

The children pick up things that they see and therefore they were physical taken to the tap area and given a demonstration which they emulated to learn.

A simple but important concept was taught to the children in a very fruitful way.

Dushhera

The victory of good over evil is a concept and teaching that remains pertinent from the times of Rama till the time we are breathing in.This should be reiterated as often as possible to make sure that the children understand that the good never fails and it will come back a winner and a hero.

With this idea we celebrate Dusshera every year. This year toady i.e. October 15, 2018 the Pre Primary section of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I did it again. The children of Pre Primary came dressed as Ram, Ravana, Sita and Vanar Sena

In the basketball court two boards and a tall Ravana stood tall to be burnt with an arrow by our Esteemed Vice Principal Ma’am Yasmeen Khan.

The children performed Dandia and so did the teachers, which was a refreshing surprise.

The children had lots of fun as they gear to a 5 day festivity in Durga Pooja and Dushhera.

World Postal Day

8th October, 2018, the children of thePre Primary section of City Montessori School Gomti Nagar Capmus I, celebrated world Postal Day. The children were told about the mailing system and its importance throughout the world by the teacher. Children wrote the messages for their parents on ‘post cards’. Later they were taken to the nearby post office where they interacted with the post master and postman. They also took a round of the entire post office and witnessed their daily work. They enjoyed dropping their postcards in the letterbox. The postmaster later gave them a packet of biscuits as a thank you gift. The children participated with full enthusiasm and went back with smiling faces.

Banana Race

The children of Montessori had some fun time on the tracks on October 10, 2018 as they participated and competed in the banana race.

The 4 sections of Montessori went excited on the tracks. Bananas were tied on a string at the end of the track. The children had to run and grab a banana, eat and throw the peel in the dustbin.

So besides running abilities the children had the opportunity to showcase their cleanliness talent as well.

Once again it was an enjoyable activity relished by all.

Animal Day

The children of Pre Primary learn by seeing, keeping this in mind the Pre Primary section of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I celebrated Animal Day on October 4, 2018.

The children came dressed as various animals. A special assembly was organized where the children were told about the difference between wild animals and pet animals. They were also told about the various sounds and natural habitat of the animals.

A special board was set up for this day. Rhymes on animals were played followed by an Animal movie which was enjoyed by all.

A relevant topic was passed on to the children in a seamless way which is what Pre Primary educational years is all about.

Gandhi Jayanti

It is never too much and it is never too late to celebrate the life of the Freedom chaperone and Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. It is his 150th Birth Anniversary this year.

Being a National holiday on October 2nd 2018 the Pre Primary section of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I observed and celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on October 3rd. Many children came dressed as Bapu. A Prabhat Feri was held by the children followed by a special assembly where the children heard about the life and teachings of the Father Figure of the Nation. They saw the Charkha, spectacles and things that define his persona. His favourite Bhajan “Raghupati Raghav” was sung in the assembly.

The children were educated that they should relish the independence of the country and play positive role in nation building.

It was a surreal day remembering the person who helped India achieve the Freedom. The generation of today’s India should know and respect the difficulties that people faced achieving Independence and they must as well pledge to be good, honest and vigilant citizens of the country.
