Basant Panchami

As the nature unfolds into a new season, we the Pre Primary section of City Montessori School, Gomtinagar 1 celebrated Basant Panchami on January 22nd 2018.

The children and teachers came dressed in bright yellow. The children brought yellow flowers with them. The day started with Saraswati Pooja and Vandana in lobby which was decorated in advance with yellow flowers and an idol of Ma Sarswati.The children performed the veneration and put the flowers in Ma Saraswati’s feet.

Later they were told about the importance of the day in context of the changing season and what importance Ma Saraswati holds in Hindu mythology and in our lives as knowledge seekers.

The children looked excited and ecstatic with the celebration as the bundles of woolen wear are slowly diminishing and the Sun is making its presence felt strongly each passing day.
