Plantation - Process of plantation in 'earthen pot (gamala)'

Take earthen pot (gamala) and see that no cracks are observed.
Ensure one hole of about 12-15mm in center at bottom is there.
Put broken piece of ‘mataka’(pot) on the hole in such a way that concave portion of the piece is in down position.
Fill clean soil with 5-10% of natural fertilizer like cow-dung.
Put the plant after removal of plastic bag/wraper alongwith soil attatched with roots (as brought from nursery) in the gamala at center.
Fill up balance portion of earthen pot (gamala) with the soil i.e.around the plant and 1-2”above the old soil (of nursery).
Spray water on the plant and soil with shower.

         Please DO NOT---
-keep plant in dry condition after removal of plastic wraper brought from nursery.
-press soil from top to make the plant rigid in the earthen pot (gamala).
-place the plant in slant position i.e.tirchha like / .This will restrict the growth.
-handle gamala with the plant from top round/square portion it may be broken.
-think that what will happen to the plant i.e. keep your attitude positive.

Please put the plant in sun light (depends upon type of plant).

Please get some important guidelines from the nursery owner for taking care for maintenance of gamala & plant (while purchasing the plant).

With best wishes,

R.B.Verma
