SAARC and CMS

SAARC or South Asian Association For Regional Cooperation is an Association formed by Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal ,Pakistan and Sri Lanka for promoting peace stability, amity and progress in the region through strict adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter and Non – Alignment .

The SAARC Charter was signed at Dhaka , Bangladesh on 8th of December 1985 by Heads of States of member countries.

Some of the main objectives of SAARC are to promote the welfare of the people of South Asia and to promote the quality of their life, to accelerate economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region and to provide all individuals the opportunity to live with dignity and to realize their full potential .

The SAARC Youth Resolution recognized the rights of the youth for a healthy and balanced development in an environment of equity, harmonious family relationship and social peace. It also recognized their right to marketable skill, acquisition, gainful employment, sound health and healthy recreation for peace, growth of democratic ethos and achievement of social justice.

CMS philosophy, we find, is embodied in the SAARC youth resolution , aiming to train children to strive for a peaceful world.

When the children of today understand one another better , they will cooperate with one another in times to come thereby spreading the message of love and brotherhood in the world.

We, at CMS, believe that every child has an innate goodness, that educators, the world over, need to further encourage and develop.

It has been said that understanding is the shortest distance between two people. We understand that meeting on a common platform can foster such understanding.

It is for these reasons that we look forward to greater interaction with the youth, the world over.
