City Montessori School Lucknow, India is a Guinness Book Record Holder and a recipient of UNESCO Prize for Peace Education 2002. It is different from other schools in that it rotates around the twin poles of Godliness and Globalism.

Since its inception in 1959, it has been stressing upon its students to imbibe the spirits of World Peace and World Unity in accordance with its motto of Jai Jagat (Glory be to the World). City Montessori School regards the whole mankind as per the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiv Kutumbhkam (the whole earth is but one family). It has been therefore educating its students to regard themselves as the citizens of the world and also to bring about similar attitudinal change in society.

Carrying forward the flame of Universal brotherhood. I take immense pleasure to state that this year City Montessori School, Rajajipuram,
Campus II is organizing the 11th SAARC Youth Festival. SAARC 2012 is being organized for the students with an aim to bring about the all pervading goal of peace, harmony and progress. We want to promote a deep sense of satisfaction within the hearts of the pupils through their imaginative skills and power to express themselves through various competitions. So, your country does not necessarily, have to be a member of SAARC for you to participate. I look forward to receiving your entries for the 11th SAARC Youth Festival as per the details contained in this brochure. Please read them carefully before you sit down to prepare your entries.

I hope that SAARC Youth Festival will succeed in its goal of promoting and generating feeling of brotherhood, peace and harmony through the means of healthy competitions and developing friendship transcending all geographical boundaries through post.
