COMPETITION LEVEL

  • Category: Class VIII to X

Number of participants

  • In a local team, the number of participants should not be less than 6 and not more than 8.

Team leader:

  • Each team will be accompanied by a teacher who will be their team leader.

  • Additional members including infants and children will not be accommodated.

Participation:

  • Each team will be expected to participate in a minimum of five events. However they can take part in as many events as they wish provided they avoid a clash of timings.

  • Once registered for an event, the team is obliged to participate in that event.

  • In case of a very large number of participating teams, a preliminary round may be held, if necessary.

Registration:

  • Local teams will be required to register themselves on 12th November, 2010 between 9.00 am and 11.00 am.

  • No registration fee will be charged.

  • No changes will be allowed once the names are sent-duly filled in the form enclosed.

Dress code:

  • Kindly ensure all team members are in their proper school uniform.

  • Identification badges are to be worn on the left breast-pocket, throughout the events.

Discipline:

  • Discipline and decorum must be maintained at all times.

  • Team leaders will be personally responsible for the conduct of the team members. Any breach of discipline may lead to disqualification of the team.

  • Team leaders are requested not to ask for any adjustments in the schedule, as these will not be possible.

  • All the participants should be seated in the auditorium along with their team leaders while the events are going on.

Responsibility:

  • Participants are advised to ensure the safety of their possessions while at the venue.

  • The organizers will not be in a position to entertain any complaints in this regard.

  • No typing or printing facilities will be provided at the venue.

Validity of entry:

  • The participating school must ensure that their entries are complete in all respects.

  • The entries must be duly forwarded by the head of the institution.

  • Kindly adhere to the deadlines stipulated in the brochure.

  • The entries which do not conform to the rules specified for each competition will stand disqualified.

Confirmation of participation:

  • Confirmation of participation must reach the Convener, World Peace Festival 2010 by 15th October, 2010 on the accompanying form.

  • Entries reaching late will be issued participation certificates but will not be eligible for the competition.
