Amongst the greatest of all the great services that can be possibly rendered by a man to the Almighty is the education of children, building their character and inculcating in their tender hearts the love of God.
The purpose of today's school education should be to develop and release capacities latent in the child, develop analytical abilities, confidence, will power, goal-setting competencies and instill in him a vision that will enable him to become a self-motivated agent of social change. Education needs an expanded definition that frees it from today's largely economic context and acknowledges its role in transforming both individual lives and entire society. A modern school also needs to concern itself with the affairs of the age in which we live.

CMS education focuses around the belief that a 21st century school should act as a lighthouse of society, providing meaningful education, spiritual direction, guidance and leadership to not only its students but also to the parents and society at large.
The social responsibility of a modern school is to unite the disunited world and make every child a gift of God to mankind, a pride of the human race and a potential light of the world by imparting all three kinds of education – Material, Human and Divine.
Throughout its over five decades of quality service in the field of education, CMS has been actively working to construct the defenses of peace in the minds of students.
The cornerstone of the School's educational edifice is a firm belief in the unity of God, unity of religions and unity of mankind. CMS emphasizes character building through spiritual and moral education with four building blocks in a child's development: Universal Values, Global Understanding, Excellence in All Things and Service to the World.
The school strives to mould its students to be ideal world citizens committed to the credo "The Earth is but one country and mankind its citizens." The School's commitment to this philosophy is reflected in its motto Jai Jagat ('Glory be to the world') which is also the greeting call with which CMS students and staff greet each other every time they meet.
Over the last 53 years, CMS has successfully impacted the lives of scores of thousands of students that pass out from the school every year.
The only school recipient ever of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education (in 2002), CMS is also the only school to regularly organize 32 international events annually with a view to create a culture of academic excellence and peaceful coexistence with people of different faiths and nations.
In the end we would like to convey our best wishes to all the participants of CONFLUENCE 2012 in their noble endeavour of establishing a peaceful unison. |
