Lucknow, July 28: A grand 'Meritorious Students' Felicitation Function' of CMS concluded today at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II auditorium. The Chief Guest on this occasion, Mrs Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Minister for Women and Family Welfare, UP, honoured the outstanding students of CMS. Special attraction of the occasion had been the honouring of the parents of these students. In her address, on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Mrs Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that India is a country of young and their intellect, characteristics and culture will help in India's progress. She advised students to step ahead with positive attitude and leave negativity behind. Ahead of it, the Chief Guest, Mrs Rita Bahuguna Joshi lit the lamp of learning to ceremoniously inaugurate the function.
Shashwat Verma of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II got specially honoured for securing 96.22% marks in the 1st Inter-campus Comparative Examination of ICSE (Class X) and his mother was weighed in fruits and flowers and his father and teacher-guardian were felicitated with a Shawl. Besides, the top ten position holders in the ICSE (Class X) Comparative Examination Merit List of the various CMS Campuses and the Campus toppers were also honoured. A Career Counselling Session was also held to guide students wherein CMS President Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon; CMS Alumnus Arsh Ali; Gaurav Chicker, Director of Manya Abroad; Nadeem Khan of Institute of European Language; Ms Smriti Singh, CMS Study Abroad Coordinator and Ms Anshoo Mishra, CMS Career Counsellor enlightened the students with their meaningful speeches.
