CMS ISC and ICSE topper students take out grand 'Victory March'
1104 most meritorious CMS students securing 90% to 98% marks felicitated



Lucknow, May 18 : As many as 1104 most meritorious students of City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow took out a grand Victory March proclaiming their unprecedented and record breaking historic success in ISC and ICSE Examinations 2013. The Victory March which commenced at Purani Chungi, Kanpur Road while on one hand celebrated the astounding success of CMS students in ISC and ICSE Exams 2013, also inspired the other students to achieve the high standard of academic excellence attained by these students and keep up the glorious CMS tradition of excellence in all things. In the enlightened guidance of CMS Founder and renowned educationist Dr Jagdish Gandhi and under the leadership of CMS toppers Akshat Srivastava (98%) and Anuja Trivedi (97.80%), the meritorious CMS students marched towards the CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium proudly holding their heads high and displaying a rare degree of self-confidence, grit and commitment to reach their goals. The Pride of Victory shone on their eager and smiling faces as they resolved to use their knowledge for the upliftment of the human race.

            The 'Victory March' was followed by 'Meritorious Felicitation Ceremony' at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium in which 1104 meritorious students were honoured. Akshat Srivastava and Anupraas Gautam of CMS Gomti Nagar campus, the toppers of ISC (class XII) Inter-campus Merit List with 98% marks each were especially honoured on this occasion. The mothers of these outstanding gems were weighed in flowers and fruits and awarded the title of 'Rani Maa' whereas fathers and teacher-guardian of these most meritorious students were also honoured with shawls. Similarly, the topper of ICSE (class X) Inter-campus Merit List with 97.80% marks Anuja Trivedi of CMS Gomti Nagar, her parents and teacher-guardian  were also felicitated. Besides, those meritorious students who secured above 90% marks were also felicitated.

Earlier, the Chief Guest, Mr Rajan Shukla, IAS, Principal Secretary, U.P. Govt., lit the lamp of learning and formally inaugurated the ceremony. Addressing the large gathering of students, teachers and parents on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Mr Rajan Shukla, IAS, said that this ceremony is significant for the students as it gives them opportunity to move ahead and set the goal, it also encourages others to attain same height. He adviced the students that it is just the beginning and you still have to reach the pinnacle. Praising CMS teaching, Mr Shukla said that Lucknowites must feel elevated on the success of these students.

On this occasion, the toppers of ISC and ICSE bared out their secret of success. They said in one voice that whatever they have achieved today, its due to CMS. The divine and poised atmosphere of CMS constantly motivate them to move ahead and do great. Akshat Srivastava of CMS Gomti Nagar, 98% achiever in ISC Board exam, said that this is the best moment of his life. He would always remain owed to Dr Jagdish Gandhi and the teachers and he would always follow the path showed by them. The achiever of 97.80% marks in ICSE Board Exam, Anuja Trivedi of CMS Gomti Nagar shared her joys and said that her school, parents and the teachers contributed lots and her hard work also fetched success for her. Anuja suggested all the students to study hard because there is no substitution to hard work for getting highest marks. Similarly, the principals of all CMS campuses expressed their happiness and congratulated the parents and the teachers.

On this occasion, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi blessed the meritorious students and extended his gratitude to all teachers for their hard work. Expressing his pleasure over these students' achievements he said that he would really be pleased when they also excel in the  examination of life, spread the noble values they have learnt here in all corners of the world and engage themselves in the service of humanity. Our objectives as parents and teachers will then be realized, he said, adding that the aim of our life is the service of humanity.

Giving out the details of this unprecedented result of CMS, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that this year a total number of 4546 students appeared for ISC and ICSE Board Examinations in which 4533 students became successful with high percentage of marks and 1104 students secured 90% to 98% marks and elevated the school's flag high.

Further, Dr Gandhi informed that 26 bright and meritorious students from various CMS campuses secured the first 5 positions in the ISC Inter-campus Merit List whereas 10 meritorious students from various CMS campuses secured the first 5 positions in the ICSE Inter-campus Merit List. Thus, a maximum number of 36 students secured Top 5 positions in ISC and ICSE Inter-campus Merit List.

        The position holders in the ISC (class XII) Inter-campus merit list include : Akshat Srivastava and Anupraas Gautam of CMS Gomti Nagar campus on 1st position with 98% marks in aggregate; Saumya and Rohini Juneja of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus and Manas Srivastava of CMS Mahanagar Campus II on 2nd position with 97.75% marks, Shubham Singh of CMS Aliganj Campus, Charul Katiyar of CMS Gomti Nagar, Vishal Pandey of CMS Kanpur Road campus, Amit Gupta of CMS Mahanagar Campus II and Gaurav Mahendra of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus on 3rd position with 97.50% marks each. Similarly 16 more students secured 4th and 5th positions with 97.25% marks and 97.00% marks respectively.

            The position holders in the ICSE (class X) Inter-campus merit list include : Anuja Trivedi of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus on 1st position with 97.80% marks in aggregate; Simran Chandra of CMS RDSO Campus on 2nd position with 97.40% marks; Aditya Vikram Srivastava of CMS Aliganj Campus, Aanchal Saxena of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus and Shreya Srivastava of CMS Mahanagar Campus II on 3rd position with 97.20% marks each, Pragya Pande of Aliganj Campus and Anmol Mishra of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus on 4th position with the 97% marks each and on 5th position, Akshay Agarwal and Adarsha Mani of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus and Suyash Sinha of CMS Mahanagar Campus II with 96.80% marks each in aggregate. At the end, the renowned educationist and Founder-Director of CMS, presented vote of thanks.
