Grand 'New Parents Evening' held at City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar campus
Parents and guardians overjoyed to witness the multi-faceted talents of children

Lucknow, 28 August : City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar organized a grand New Parents Evening at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium here today. Parents and guardians were overjoyed to see their little ones performing on stage with such abandon, joy and merriment. They eagerly encouraged their children giving them huge applause as the talents poured out on stage. The children also put forth their best foot forward and gave a wonderful display of their abilities through song, dance and drama. The programme began with school prayer, prayer dance and World Peace Prayer. CMS Gomti Nagar students presented a thought provoking World Parliament in which they discussed peaceful solutions to global problems. A heartwarming presentation of educational-cultural items added colour and gaiety to the show. The children presented a panoramic view of unity in diversity in a global society.

Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mrs Anita Meshram, IAS, Special Secretary, basic Education, UP by lighting the ceremonial lamp of learning. In her inaugural address, Mrs Meshram said that parents and guardians must maintain a harmonious and cordial atmosphere at home. Those families which pray together have a balanced and rapid development of children. We must provide a united and peaceful family atmosphere to the children. Mrs Meshram was full of praise for the CMS children saying that such programmes give them useful opportunity to display their talents. She congratulated the Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar campus, Ms Manjit Batra for this grand function.

On this occasion, Ms Manjit Batra, Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar campus said that such cultural and educational programmes aim at training the children to use their talents for the benefit of mankind and build a global society. Ms Batra thanked the parents for the active support and cooperation in all school activities. Ms Batra said that at CMS efforts are being made through education so that every child follows the teachings of Almighty God and imbibes them in such a way that he serves Almighty God by serving his fellowmen.

The CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that every child must be educated in the ideals of World Unity, World Peace and Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam. Therefore CMS makes efforts to see that the child imbibes these values at home as well as in school. CMS President and Chief Operating Officer, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that the credit for success of this celebration goes to the parents of children who cooperate with such eagerness with school authorities in making the child both good and smart. At the end, the CMS Founder-Director, Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi expressed her gratitude by conveying the Vote of Thanks towards all present.
