जीवन में आत्मिक सुख प्रार्थना से मिलता है।

(1) ‘‘नया शैक्षिक सत्र चरित्र निर्माण का वर्ष हो’’:-

जब हम संसार से निराश हो जाते हैं, तब हम अपनी आत्मा के पिता परमपिता परमात्मा की ओर पूरी तरह से मुड़ जाते हैं और यही वह क्षण होता है जब कि हमें कहीं-न-कहीं से जीवन में आगे बढ़ने के लिए उचित मार्गदर्शन मिल जाता है। प्रार्थना अध्यात्म का ‘प्राण’ और ‘सार’ है और कोई भी व्यक्ति प्रार्थना के बिना उद्देश्यपूर्ण ढंग से जी ही नहीं सकता। इसलिए प्रार्थना मनुष्य के जीवन का मर्म होनी चाहिए। प्रार्थना जैसे अध्यात्म का सबसे मार्मिक अंग है, वैसे ही मानव-जीवन का भी है। प्रार्थना मनुष्य को फौलाद की तरह मजबूत बना देती है। आप कितना ही प्रभु नाम जपिये, अगर उससे आत्मा में हलचल नहीं मचती, तो यह व्यर्थ है। वास्तव में पूजा या प्रार्थना वाणी से नहीं बल्कि हृदय से करने की चीज है। सच्चे हृदय से की हुई प्रार्थना चमत्कार कर सकती है।

(2) प्रार्थना हृदय को पवित्र बनाने की प्रक्रिया है:-

परमात्मा आत्म-तत्व है इसलिए उसे इन भौतिक आंखों से नहीं देखा जा सकता। परमात्मा की समीपता की अनुभूति तो हमें अपनी आत्मा के माध्यम से होती है। वास्तव में हर पल आत्मा के विकास के लिए जीना ही वास्तविक जीवन है। परमात्मा से हमारा जन्मों-जन्मों का नाता है। तभी वह हमें अपनी आत्मा के विकास के लिए युग-युग में अवतारों के रूप में, इस धरती पर अवतरित होकर, पवित्र ग्रन्थों की शिक्षाओं के माध्यम से सदा-सदा के लिए प्रेरित करता रहता है। इसलिए हमें कभी भी अपनी आत्मा की आवाज को अनसुनी नहीं करना चाहिए। हमारे दैनिक कार्यों में व्यवस्था, एकता और शांति लाने का एकमात्र उपाय प्रार्थना है। प्रार्थना एक प्रकार का आवश्यक आध्यात्मिक अनुशासन है। अनुशासन और संयम ही हमें पशुओं से अलग करता है।

(3) हृदय की सच्ची प्रार्थना से हमें सच्चे कत्र्तव्य का पता चलता है :-

हार्दिक प्रार्थना निःसंदेह सबसे प्रबल अस्त्र है, जो कि कायरता और अन्य सब बुरी आदतों पर विजय प्राप्त करने के लिए मनुष्य के पास परमात्मा का एक अनुपम अनुदान है। प्रार्थना करने वाले मनुष्य के लिए पीछे हटने की तो कोई बात ही नहीं होती। शुभ कार्यों के लिए एक तीव्र इच्छा प्रार्थना का रूप धारण करती है। अणुबमों का मुकाबला प्रार्थनामय कर्म से किया जा सकता है।

(4) पवित्र ग्रन्थों का ज्ञान सारी मानव जाति के लिए है :-

सभी पवित्र ग्रन्थ जैसे गीता, त्रिपटक, बाईबिल, कुरान, गुरू ग्रन्थ साहिब, किताबे-अकदस, किताबे अजावेस्ता आदि-आदि का ज्ञान सारी मानव जाति के लिए हंै। गीता का सन्देश एक लाइन में यह है कि न्याय के लिए अपने बन्धु को भी दण्ड देना चाहिए। त्रिपटक का सन्देश है कि वर्ण (जाति) व्यवस्था ईश्वरीय आज्ञा नहीं है वरन् समता ईश्वरीय आज्ञा है। बाइबिल का सन्देश है कि पृथ्वी का साम्राज्य उनका होगा जो दूसरों पर दया करेंगे। कुरान का सन्देश है कि ऐ खुदा, सारी खिलकत को बरकत दे। जब हम सारी मानव जाति की भलाई करेंगे तब नानक का नाम हमंे ऊँचाई पर ले जायेगा। किताबे-अकदस का सन्देश है कि ईश्वर एक है, धर्म एक है तथा मानव जाति एक है। परमात्मा की शिक्षायें समय≤ पर विभिन्न अवतारों के माध्यम से दिव्य लोक से सम्पूर्ण मानव जाति की भलाई के लिए आयी हैं।

(5) बच्चों को सभी अवतारों की शिक्षाओं से जोड़ना चाहिए :-

हमें बच्चों को राम की ‘मर्यादा’, कृष्ण के ‘न्याय’, बुद्ध की ‘समता’, ईशु की ‘करूणा’, मोहम्मद के ‘भाईचारे’, नानक के ‘सच्चा सौदा (त्याग)’ तथा बहाउल्लाह के ‘हृदय की एकता’ के गुणों को अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित करना चाहिए। केवल उद्देश्यपूर्ण क्लास रूम के द्वारा ही समाज में परिवर्तन लाया जा सकता है। अर्थात शिक्षा सामाजिक परिवर्तन का सशक्त माध्यम हैं।

(6) हे प्रभु मेरे मन में कोई बुरा विचार न आये:-

हमारी प्रार्थना ऐसी होनी चाहिए जिससे कि हम परमात्मा से जुड़ सकें क्योंकि सही प्रार्थना वही है जिससे कि हम परमात्मा से जुड़ सकें। हमें मन ही मन में परमात्मा को याद करना चाहिए। उनकी प्रार्थना करनी चाहिए। उनका मनन करना चाहिए। उनका चिंतन करना चाहिए और अपने लिए मार्गदर्शन मांगना चाहिए। हमें परमात्मा से अपने लिए सुरक्षा मांगनी चाहिए कि ‘‘हे प्रभु मेरे मन में कोई बुरा विचार न आये।’’

CMS Cambridge Section opens Admission to A levels

Cambridge International A Levels is the class 12th qualification of the UK exam board Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).

A Levels are recognised as a valid qualification for entry to all universities in India. India's top schools are affiliated with the CAIE board, e.g. Doon School, Ambani School etc.

A Levels provide a strong platform for students to progress to university and beyond. Students develop abilities which universities value highly, including:

1. deep understanding of subjects
2. higher order thinking skills – analysis, critical thinking, problem solving
3. presenting ordered and coherent arguments
4. independent learning and research.

The Subjects we offer at the class 11th-12th Level are:

English, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Psychology, History, Computer Science and Art & Design.

The classes on offer are from class 6th to class 12th. The results of our Check Point exam were significantly better than the world average.

Lucknow Metro Orientation sessions held

The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation conducted Orientation and Awareness-raising sessions about the Lucknow Metro for CMS students in CMS campuses from 8th to 18th April 2019. The Metro team visited all CMS campuses and apprised students about the features and facilities of the Metro and the benefits of its use for daily travel in an engaging manner. The sessions were very informative and were appreciated by the students and staff.

It’s General Election time! All over the country over the next few weeks, tens of crores of Indian citizens will be coming out to cast their ballots to determine who should form the next Government of India.

Dear students: although the majority of you are not yet of voting age, I urge you to engage with the political process nonetheless. By reading about it regularly through newspapers and online outlets, you will develop a deeper understanding of the issuesfaced by the state and country. It is important to gain knowledge about India’s problems and their potential solutions, so that in future you can become agents of positive change anddevelopment.

By vocalising the opinions you form, you can engage in debate with your family and friends. This will not only enhance your skills in critical thinking and self-expression, but will hone your opinions and enable you to make more informed decisions in the future.

If all young people do this now, you will grow up to be an informed, engaged citizenry. By building up a real understanding of the needs of your fellow citizens, you can effectively hold any government to account. You can collectively become an unstoppable force for social progress, working in a variety of ways to improve India and the world at large.Just because you are too young to vote does not mean you are too young to get involved: read, think, understand, engage, and debate!

Excitement at Jack and Joel’s music concert

The popular singing duo, 'Jack and Joel', from the University of Oxford, UK, performed in live concerts at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II and CMS Kanpur Road auditoriums on 6th and 7th April respectively. The audience clapped madly as Jack and Joel poured out their bag of musical numbers and treated them to the highs and lows of Pop music along with beat boxing and sound of drums. CMS Director of Strategy, Mr Roshan Gandhi, a former student of Oxford University joined the duo to make a threesome and sang some of the songs with them. Some of the musical compositions were 'Love Yourself’ by Justin Beiber, ‘Thinking out Loud’ by Ed Sheeran, ‘Uptown Funk’ by Bruno Mars, ‘I’m Yours’ by Jason Mraz etc. The musical duo of Jack and Joel was at CMS from 2nd to 8th April on special invitation of the school, carrying out music workshops for CMS students at various CMS Campuses.

A thousand sarees bring forth a thousand smiles

In an event organized by CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II, on the eve of the International Women's Day, nearly 1000 sarees were distributed by the CMS Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi among the underprivileged and needy women, the event being termed as 'The Saree Story'. Chief Guest at this event, Mrs Padmaja Chauhan, IPS, Inspector General of Police, UP Police Recruitment Board, UP, led the Peace March.
