NUMERO WIZ (MATHEMATICAL SKILLS) Senior

Date: 9th September, 2018

Time: 5.00 pm – 6.30 pm  

Round 1 (Screening)

  1. Each team will be represented by one participant only.
  2. The time limit for this event is one hour and a half.
  3. In paper for this round, will contain 90 MCQ.
  4. Questions will be based on syllabi up to CLASS XII.
  5. The winners for this round will be decided on the basis of the marks scored.
  6. Top ten teams will qualify for the final written round.
  7. The participants will not be allowed to bring any material like books, paper and other things except pen/pencil. The rough sheets, if needed will be provided by the HOST.
 
 
NUMERO WIZ (MATHEMATICAL SKILLS)

Time: 10.30pm-1.30pm 

Round 2 (FINAL)

  1. This is also a WRITTEN round of three hours duration.
  2. Paper will contain subjective questions of Olympiad level.
  3. The winners for this round will be decided on the basis of the marks scored.
  4. The participants will not be allowed to bring any material like books, paper and other things except pen/pencil. The rough sheets, if needed will be provided by the HOST.
 
 

MODEL MAKING (MAQUETTISME) (JUNIOR)

Date: 9th September, 2018

Time: 2.00 pm - 4.30 pm

THEME: COHERENCE OF SCIENCE IN NATURE

  1. A ‘Team’ comprises two participants.
  2. Team members should make a working model based on the theme.
  3. The model has to be assembled on the spot.
  4. Participants will be provided a table (4’ X 3’) for displaying the model and a stand to display the presentation through a chart.
  5. The participants will be required to give a presentation of the model before the judges.
  6. Participants are required to bring all necessary materials alongwith them.
  7. JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:
    • CREATIVITY
    • INNOVATION
    • SOCIAL UTILITY
    • RELEVANCE WITH THEME
    • PRESENTATION
  8. Judges’ Decision will be FINAL and BINDING.
 
 

POWER-POINT PRESENTATION (MACTUTOR)

Date: 9th September, 2018            

Time: 2.00pm -4.30pm

TIME LIMIT: 10 Minutes (8+2)
[8 minutes for presentation and two minutes for answering the questions extended by the other participants/experts].

 
  1. Each team will be represented by one participant only.
  2. Presentation should have maximum of 15 slides on the subject and the topic selected.
  3. Use of animated videos is PROHIBITED.
  4. A SOFTCOPY of the presentation should be sent latest by 30th July, 2018, to avoid the repetition of the topic. It should be submitted at the earliest possible date.
  5. In the case of repetition of the topic the topic received first will be retained and the team(s) will be notified accordingly. The team submitting the topic at a later date will have to change the topic.
  6. The participant has to teach the topic selected by him/her on the stage using PPT, where it will be JUDGED by the panel of EXPERTS.
  7. JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:

    • DELIVERY OF THE CONTENT
    • ADHERENCE TO THE TIME LIMIT
    • ABILITY TO HANDLE THE QUESTIONS.

SCIENCE QUIZ (MAXAMEN) (JUNIOR)

ROUND1 (WRITTEN) Date: 9th September, 2018     TIME: 5.00pm- 6.30pm

ROUND 2 (ON STAGE)

DATE: 11th September, 2018 Time: 2.00pm -4.30pm
 
  1. Each team will be represented by 2 (two) participants only.
  2. This is Science Quiz event.
  3. Questions will be based on the areas of basic sciences and technology.
  4. The teams for the final round will be chosen on the basis of the written round which will be regarded as the qualifying round.
  5. The best 10 (ten) teams will be selected for the final round.
  6. THE QUIZ MASTER‟S DECISION WILL BE FINAL AND BINDING.
 
 

CHOREOGRAPHY

Date: 11th September, 2018     TIME: 11.30 pm–1.30 pm
THEME:  INVENTIONS AND DISCOVERIES IN THE FIELD OF SCIENCE

TIME LIMIT: 5 (five) minutes

  1. All Team members may participate in this EVENT (max. 10).
  2. The team can use pre-recorded instrumental music.
  3. Lyrics based songs are not allowed (however use of shlokas and alaap is allowed).
  4. JUDGMENT CRITERIA:
    (a) Interpretation of the topic
    (b) Music
    (c) Appeal
    (d) Presentation.
  5. The teams have to arrange their own accessories, if so required.
  6. The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
 
 

PCMBBT OLYMPIAD

Date: 10th September, 2018     TIME: 2.30pm-5.30pm
 
  1. Each team will be represented by one participant only, who has to participate in any TWO of the listed SUBJECTS [Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Biotechnology].
  2. Paper will contain a mixture of objective and subjective questions of International Olympiad Level.
  3. The time limit for this event is one hour and a half for each subject.
  4. Questions will be based on syllabi up to CLASS XII.
  5. The winners for this round will be decided on the basis of the marks scored.
  6. The participants will not be allowed to bring any material like books, paper and other things except pen/pencil. The rough sheets, if needed, will be provided by the HOST.
 
 

GROUP DISCUSSION {LOGGER HEADS}

Date: 10th September, 2018     TIME: 10.30 pm -1.30 pm

THEME: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

 TIME LIMIT: 30 MINUTES PER SESSION
  1. The Event is divided into two categories:
    • Preliminary
    • Final
  2. The participants will be divided into different groups on the basis of draw of lots.
  3. From each group best 10 participants will be selected for the FINALS (on stage).
  4. Each group will be given a different topic on the spot.
  5. Each speaker has to speak for a maximum of three minutes.
  6. JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:
    • CONTENT
    • DELIVERY
    • EXPRESSION
    • MANNER
  7. Moderator of the Event will ensure that each participant gets an equal opportunity to present his/her viewpoint.
  8. Moderator’s decision will be final.
 
 

DEBATE [DEBATTLE]

Date: 9th September, 2018     TIME: 10.30 pm -1.30 pm

THEME: GENETIC MANIPULATIONS                        

TIME LIMIT: 5 Minutes per participant
  1. The Event is divided into two categories:-
    • FOR THE MOTION
    • AGAINST THE MOTION
  2. The participant has to speak either ‘for’ or ‘against’ the motion.
  3. JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:
    • CONTENT
    • DELIVERY
    • EXPRESSION
    • MANNER
    • PERSUASION
  4. Moderator’s decision will be final and binding.
 
 

WEB DESIGNING [MACWEB]

Date: 9th September, 2018     TIME: 10.30 pm -1.30 pm

THEME: INNOVATIVE MARKETING                

 
  1. Each team will be represented by 2 (two) participants only.
  2. The team has to design a web site on any one of the topics given on the spot within the given time.
  3. The total time duration is 3 (three) hours which includes designing time and finalizing time (saving and checking).
  4. The suggested areas are given below:
    (i) E-Learning Tools
    (ii) Digital Ethics
  5. The topics at the time of the competition may be from any one of the above mentioned areas.
  6. The participants are allowed to bring only pictures, images, audio and video to include during website designing.
  7. The team found in the possession of any other material, document, content, layout and pre-designed website will be disqualified.
  8. Each team has to save its designed website in the computer system provided by the organizer. It will be the sole responsibility of the team to ensure the proper saving of their work before leaving, after that the organizers will not be responsible.
  9. Each team has to present the designed website before the jury members. After the presentation the participant may be questioned by the jury members.
  10. The maximum time for the presentation is 5 (five) minutes including queries of the jury members.
  11. One multimedia computer without internet connection and with Windows 7 or higher, MS-Office 2007 or higher, Adobe Dreamweaver CS 3 or higher, Adobe Photoshop CS and Adobe Flash (all software 30 days trial copy) will be provided by the organizers
  12. The judgment criteria will be:
    (a) Design and Features (b) Innovation (c) Concept (d) Effective social message
  13. The Judges‟ decision will be final and binding.
    Note:
    (i) It is advisable that the team brings required software with them to avoid any inconvenience arising due to non-compatibility with the software provided by the organizers.
    (ii) The laptops, mobile phones and any other data communication devices are not allowed inside the hall.
 
 

COLLAGE [COL-A-GEM] (JUNIOR)

Date: 10th September, 2018     TIME: 10.30 pm -12.30 pm

THEME: SCIENCE IN NATURE

 TIME LIMIT: Two hours
 
  1. A team comprises two participants.
  2. Participants will have to make a collage on the given theme on full imperial size drawing paper sheet.
  3. The paper sheet will be provided by the HOST.
  4. Participants should bring their own requisite materials for the competition.
  5. JUDGEMENT CRITERIA:
    • CREATIVITY
    • INNOVATION
    • PRESENTATION
    • AESTHETICS
  6. The Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
