The aim of organizing International School Cricket Premier League is to foster the spirit of global unity and understanding amongst young cricketers and to display high degree of sportmanship and excellence in the game. Young students of today are the future world leaders and I believe that the event will be graced by the young school cricketers from all over the Cricket playing countries and strengthen the bonds of friendship. It will be a great delight to see young people playing Cricket without any thought of upmanship or ego as all the players will play as world citizens.

It is indeed very heartening to note that CMS Kanpur Road Campus under the stewardship of Dr Vineeta Kamran, has taken up the challenge of organizing the 2nd International School Cricket Premier League during the year 2013. I admire the strong determination and confidence of the Principal and staff members of CMS Kanpur Road to take up the challenge in which students cricketers from India and abroad will participate and display their talents.

The 1st International school cricket Premier League had been a great success and was witnessed by great luminaries from the cricket world like Mr. Jyoti Bajpai, Mr. Madan Lal, Mr. Chetan Chauhan, Mr. Chetan Sharma & Mr. Suresh Raina. Mr Deepak Sharma, the Chief Coach of Sports College of Lucknow and the mentor of Mr Suresh Raina also graced this occasion with his presence.

Apart from the above, cricket lovers from all over India assembled to witness this first every T-20 match of school children which 18 school teams from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and India participated.

The dream of formation of International Council for School Cricket (ICSC) also turned into reality in the year 2011. ICSE would be the governing body of organising ISCPLs in different parts of the world every alterative year and every alternative year in Lucknow at CMS Stadium.

I wish all the participants a very happy stay in CMS and great success in their endeavours. I would also like to congratulate Dr. Vineeta Kamran for her untiring efforts in organizing the 1st International School Cricket Premier League and wish great success to the 2nd International School Cricket Premier League.
