City Montessori School, Lucknow, the world’s largest school by pupils, as mentioned in the Guinness Book of Worlds Records, is a unique institution that has been a trailblazer in the educational firmament. Rules Regulations

The ISCL-2021 Standard Playing Conditions for Twenty20 matches

  1. Team Kit (Dress)
    • Each team is required to have their own coloured kit (not more than two colours) which includes pads, gloves, cap, dress etc.

    • No team will be allowed to play in white kit.

    • On the back side of the T-Shirt- number of the player in CAPITAL letters should be printed. On the front left side of the T-Shirt school logo and in the centre the name of the school and city should be printed.

    • Only rubber studs shoes are allowed during the match (no spike shoes). Spike shoes are permitted for the final.

  2. Duration
    • One inning per side, each inning limited to a maximum of 20 overs.

  3. Number of Teams
    • Only 16 teams (from different cities & countries) will participate in the ISCL-2021

  4. Strength of a Team
    • The maximum strength of a delegation is 18 members which comprises:–

      • 15 players (Boys only under 18 yrs and up to class XII are allowed). Besides 2 players of U-19 age group may also be included.

      • Players born on or after 1/12/2003 are eligible

      • One Team Manager

      • One Coach

      • One Physiotherapist

    • Team officials will be completely responsible for the discipline of their team’s members during the event and period of stay.

    • Team Managers will have to attend organisers’ meeting, whenever required.

    • Registration on first come first served basis.

  5. Ground
    • There are three grounds which will be used for ISCL-2021.

    • Daily 6 matches will be played in three grounds. (Two matches during the day time & one during the night)

    • As we are organizing 6 matches in one day on three grounds, therefore, next team should report one hour before their scheduled time.

    • Teams should be ready to play two matches in a day, if required.

  6. Format of Match
    • Match will be played on the basis of League cum Knockout format. There shall be 4 Pools each consisting of 4 teams. Each team shall be playing three matches in all in their respective groups. The pool topper from each group shall be playing Knockout.

  7. Cricket Balls
    • White balls will be used.

  8. Arrangement of Overs
    • Teams will be allotted One hour 30 minutes to bowl 20 Overs.

  9. Fielding Restrictions
    • At the instant of delivery, there may not be more than 5 fielders on the leg side.

    • During the Match not more than 5 fielders shall be permitted outside the fielding restriction area at the instant of delivery. In first 6 overs (i.e. Power Play), only 2 fielders are permitted outside the circle. After the end of 6 overs, 4 fielders must remain inside the circle till the inning ends.

  10. Bowling Restriction
    • A bowler can bowl only a quota of maximum 4 overs in the match.

  11. Free Hit after No Ball
    • Every kind of "No Ball" will give a FREE HIT to the Batsman beside 1 run for the No Ball.

  12. Time Out
    • The incoming batsman must be in position to take guard or his partner should be ready to receive the next ball within 60 seconds after the fall of the previous wicket.

  13. Short Pitched Bowling
    • One Short Pitched ball is allowed per over.

  14. Interval
    • The interval will normally be of 15 minutes duration in between two innings of Twenty20.

  15. Over-Rate Penalties
    • A 6 Runs Penalty for each over not bowled will apply and the over must be completed in addition to the penalty – all sides are expected to be in position to bowl the first ball of the last of their 20 Overs within 1 hour 30 minutes playing time. In case, one team fails to bowl in limited time (1 hour 30 minutes) or in case the Umpires feel that the other team is needlessly wasting time, then 6 runs per over penalties will be awarded by the Umpires.

  16. Tie Match and Super Over
    • In case, the match will tie then a Super Over will follow.

    • In case any match is abandoned due to any disruption or climate etc then the Super Over will follow.

    • If the Super Over is a Tie then International procedures shall be adopted for Tie breaker in Super Over

    • Any other matter not covered above shall be decided by the Organising Committee and its decision shall be final and binding on the contesting teams.

  17. Net Run Rate
    • A team's net run rate is calculated by deducting from the average runs per over scored by that team from the average runs per over scored against that team.

    • In the event of a team being all out in less than its full quota of overs, the calculation of its net run rate shall be based on the full quota of overs to which it would have been entitled and not on the number of overs in which the team was dismissed.

  18. League Table
    • The League table position shall be determined as follows:

      • Two points will be awarded for each Match won by the team.

      • Team with highest number of points, shall be at the top of their respective group.

      • In case of tie between two teams in their respective group, then the team with higher net run rate will be placed in the higher position.

  19. Umpires
    • All the Umpires are qualified State Panel from the U.P. Cricket Association.

    • There will be three umpires. Two on the field and third umpire off the ground.

    • Umpire's decision shall stand final. No protest against any umpire or any decision shall be entertained.

    • Umpires are sole authority to reduce the number of overs if the playing conditions demands so.

  20. Registration
    • A sum of Rs. 65,000/- (USD 1000) per team shall be charged as registration fees. This includes food, boarding, lodging and to and fro transport from and to Railway station/Airport. The amount may be remitted through demand draft drawn in favour of CMS, Lucknow. No cash will be accepted in person.

    • The form and the photograph of the player should be duly signed and verified/attested by the Principal.

    • During the registration the player shall sign again, to check authenticity.

    • School flag and Country flag required at the time of registration

    • Last date for receiving entries is 30th September, 2021.

  21. Mandatory for Eligibility during Registration:- (Indian Team Only)
    • The group photograph of the team with Principal and Official is Requisite at the time of registration. Soft and hard scanned copy of the class X certificate duly signed by the Principal of the school with stamp of the Institution and Principal.

  22. Awards
    • Man of the Match

    • Man of the Series

    • Best Bowler (Highest wicket taker)

    • Best Batsman (Highest run scorer)

    • Best Fielder

    • Maximum Sixes

    • Best Outfit

    • Fair Play Award

    • Runner Up

    • Winner

  23. Stay
    • Organisers will provide fooding, boarding and lodging facilities at the venue only from 3rd morning to 10th evening of December 2021. The travel reservations may be done accordingly by the teams.

  24. General Instructions
    • To help ensure the smooth conduct of ISCL, participants are requested to abide by the rules and regulations listed below:

      • All the team members must attend all ceremonial activities.

      • Morning Prayer- Assembly will be an integral part. Attending the same is compulsory for all participants.

      • Students will wear complete track suit and Identity Card during the opening ceremony and procession.

      • No participant will be allowed to leave the venue once the event begins. The team leader must be present with the participants during the event and other activities.

      • Discipline and decorum is to be maintained at all times. The team manager will be personally responsible for the conduct of the team members. Any breach of discipline may lead to disqualification of the team. The organisers may be constrained to request the disqualified team to withdraw from the venue.

      • Participants are advised to ensure the safety of their belongings at all times. The organisers will not entertain any complaints about loss of their valuables.

      • Rail/air fare will be borne by the participant/institution.

  25. Medical, Communication & Security
    • The entire premises will be sealed for the duration of the competition.

    • There will be round the clock security vigil at the gate.

    • A doctor will be present 24 hours at the venue.

    • "Happy to Help" desk, Telephone, Fax and E mail facility will be available round the clock.

  26. Weather
    • The weather in Lucknow during December is cold and well suited to the playing conditions.

    • The average temperature will be around 16 degrees.
