Scientific and technological advancements in the world have been greatly due to innovative thinking, concepts, ideas and vision. In today's hectic world, our youth have a tremendous responsibility to innovatively assimilate such vision so as to bring Unity and Peace in the world. We are happy to know that City Montessori School, Jopling Road Campus, under the able guidance of its Principal, Mrs. Manju Nautiyal, along with her dedicated staff, is organizing their 6th International Innovation Day contest. It's a celebration of the unlimited creative potential in all of us.

The vision behind this concept rests on the belief that every person is endowed with the ability to use knowledge, imagination and evaluation to create new and meaningful solutions to meet the challenges we face.

The mission of IID is to enhance and stimulate creative thinking and create opportunities where students learn to think. There is abundant evidence to suggest that strategies that support creativity - solving problems, exploring multiple options, and learning inquiry - also support depth of understanding. Applying creativity skills also helps in developing tolerance of different points of view. Renowned philosophers suggest that students trained in creativity are able to face our rapidly shifting world. If we want our young people to be successful in the world we need to equip them with skills, abilities and habits to solve problems today.

Students globally, with their fertile and curious minds, can offer limitless new and creative ideas. They are the most powerful reservoir for creating and developing new ideas. IID is that forum which can collate and sieve through this pool of ideas for the advancement of mankind.

The increasing response to the competitions for covering creative and innovative potential of the youth is very encouraging. This is a significant accomplishment of the branch, that undoubtedly required the dedication and cooperation of the whole team. It is a tribute to the Principal's administrative talent and hard work.
