RULES —

Please note that your idea can be in any field / area (Science & Technology, Energy, Water, Transport, Communication, Education, Agriculture, Medical, Environment & Ecology, Road & Buildings, Economics, Politics, Social & Culture, Religion, Legal, Sports, Entertainment, Administration, Crime & Law, Spirituality, Biodiversity etc.)

You can submit even a crazy idea. The idea should be useful to society/community.

Give a title to the idea.

Submit the idea in not more than 250 – 300 words.

Please explain your idea in a way everyone can understand. If your idea is based on something already existing, please pinpoint the difference & highlight its advantages.

You must research and write a report on an inventor and his invention. You may choose any inventor. Your report should include:
1. Important details about the Inventor’s life such as where and when the Inventor lived?
2. The name of the invention, the year it was made and what does it do?
3. How did the Inventor become involved in inventing what he/she invented?
4. Any difficulties the inventor had to overcome.
5. Why do we need or want this invention?
6. Why or how does this invention make our lives better?
7. You need to include at least 2 pictures, one of the inventor and the other of the invention.
8. The project should be typed or written in your best handwriting and should not be more than 500 words.
9. Give a suitable title to your report.
MAKING SCHEME:
1. 5 marks for each point mentioned above.
2. 5 marks for presentation. |

Theme : “My idea of innovation is…”
RULES —
1. Poster should be made on a white card sheet of size 50 x 50 cm.
2. You should use bright colouring material.
3. You should give a title/caption to your creation that best explains the poster.
4. The participants should mention name, group, age, school's name, address and country at the back of the Poster in BLOCK LETTERS.
5. An eminent panel of judges will grade all the entries and the selected winners will be awarded certificates and prizes.
6. The entries should be bordered with BLACK CELLO- TAPE.
Entries will be judged on the basis of the following:
Marking Scheme
Concept and content : 30 marks
Presentation : 15 marks
Caption : 5 marks |

TOPICS
Group B (Classes IX, X) — Select a technological innovation of the century and discuss its effect on your family, local
community or nation.
Group C (Classes XI, XII) — Which invention would world be better off without and why?
RULES —
1. Essay must be original and unpublished.
2. Essay should not be more than 500 words for group ‘B’ and ‘C’
3. Essay should be typed or written in clear legible hand writing in English. |

TOPIC: Draw a portrait of any famous inventor
RULES —
1. Portrait should be made on a cartridge or oil sheet of size (30 x 30 cm.)
2. Mention neatly the name of the inventor and his invention UNDERNEATH the portrait drawn.
3. The portrait must be submitter’s original work. You cannot use any images of copyrighted material, scanned, printed or photocopied.
4. The choice of the inventors is not limited to the great inventors covered in the brochure, you can choose to make the portrait of any great inventor of your choice.
5. You may choose any medium eg. pencil, pen, charcoal, coloured sketch pens and pencils, crayons, oil paint etc.
6. The rendering of the portrait should bring out the personality, charm, gracefulness and likeness in the character.
7. The entry should be bordered with BLACK CELLO- TAPE. |
