Dr Jagdish Gandhi

Dr Jagdish Gandhi is a renowned Indian Educationist and Founder of World’s Largest School – the City Montessori School, popularly known as CMS, located in Lucknow, India. Dr Gandhi is a peace activist who has travelled globally and has been building bridges of unity and peace for about six decades. For his long-standing contributions to education in peace, the United Nations awarded the prestigious UNESCO Prize for Peace Education for the year 2002 of US$30,000 to his unique creation – the City Montessori School, which Dr Gandhi founded in 1959 with 5 children and borrowed capital of Rupees 300/- (Less than US $10 at that time). The school is listed in the Guinness Book since 1999 as the World’s Largest School in a single city with the present enrollment of about 54,000 pupils for the session 2016-2017.
Prof. Geeta Kingdon

Geeta Gandhi Kingdon is a Professor at the Institute of Education, University of London, where she holds the Chair of ‘Education Economics and International Development’. She held the Robert McNamara Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the World Bank, a lectureship at the University of Bristol and a Research Officership at the Department of Economics, University of Oxford, before moving to the University of London in 2007.  She has authored over 40 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, 2 books and a large number of chapters in edited volumes. She is on the Editorial Boards of several academic journals.

Professor Kingdon does advisory work for both national and state/regional governments on the education policy, and provides advice to international donor agencies.  As a member of the Advisory Working Group for the implementation of the Right to Education Act in Uttar Pradesh (India’s most populous state with a population of 215 million (2015)), her advice was instrumental in making public education subsidy targeted towards the poor. In 2010, Professor Kingdon was appointed as the President of City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow, India.

Dr Sunita Gandhi

Dr Sunita Gandhi is Founder, Council for Global Education, USA, Dignity, Education Vision International, India, and the Education Society of Iceland (Islenskumenntasamtokinses). She has travelled to some 38 countries and studied their education systems. Her research-based work on education has been piloted in the UK, Iceland and India. She came back to India recently after 26 years overseas with a Ph.D. in Physics from Cambridge University, UK, where she received three merit-based scholarships, a ten-year tenure as an Economist at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., USA, where she was selected as a Young Professional, and after having established Iceland's first two charter schools and an experimental school in the Czech Republic.Dr Gandhi has been an expert working with Finnish educators and the Keynote Speaker at Finland's Annual Educator's Conference organised by the Finnish National Board of Education.

In India, Dr Gandhi has been fine-tuning and implementing a transformative education curriculum and assessments based on the principle of compete with yourself, which over 200 schools have adopted across India, UK, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Dubai and Singapore. With this large scale pilot, she is incubating an education more suited to the needs of children in the 21st century. The edifice of her efforts are constructed on the principle of Compete with Yourself and based on the foundation of the Four Building Blocks of Education: Universal Values, Global Understanding, Excellence in All Things and Service to Humanity. In India, Dr Gandhi also serves as Honorary Chief Academic Advisor of her family-run City Montessori School, Lucknow, the world's largest school, a Guinness World Record Holder, and recipient of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education.

Her latest project, Global Dream, is aimed at providing functional literacy to the illiterate masses. The results from the pilot are startling; with children leading a nationwide literacy campaign. The time efficient and effective Global Dream curriculum allows a person to become reading capable with just 15-30 minutes of time investment per day for a month.

Dr Vikram Singh

Dr Vikram Singh, 1974 IPS is currently the Pro Chancellor of NOIDA International University, NOIDA. After a long service career, recently served as Director General of Police - UP, he retired in May 2010. He completed M. Sc. from Allahabad University in 1972 and Ph. D. (Ecology) from Kumaon University in 1990. One of the most highly decorated police officer in the country, having been awarded the highest gallantry award by the President of India four times, and twice again for distinguished service to the nation. He has authored three books; one entitled ‘Ecosystems of Central Himalayas’ the other one being ‘Human Rights and Police’ and the last is ‘Bandits or Baaghis’. He is rated as a star speaker on issues related to security, man-management, crisis resolution and team building. He has been a guest speaker at over 50 renowned institutes; IIM Lucknow, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law university, National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, National Crime Records Bureau, Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Judicial Training and Research Institute, State Planning Institute (U.P.) to name a few of them.

Ms Marja-Leena Bilund

Marja-Leena Bilund is a multifaceted personality from Finland who has donned many hats before her stint in 2013 as an On-the-Job-Learning-Instructor. Reaching the zenith of her career, Marja-Leena Bilund got the ICT teacher of the year award in 2016 and had been bestowed with various prestigious awards and honours.

She has been associated with various colleges such as Mikkeli Vocational College and University of Jyvaskyla to name a few. At present she is imparting her contribution in the same field as an ‘On the Job-Learning  Instructor’ in Suomen Nuoriso – Opisto (Youth College). She had been a coordinator of ITAE Art Project and a lecturer for NEPSY Studies in Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences from the period 2008 -2010. She had carved a niche in her career with Projects like Self image – Mindscape in 2013 and Looking for Mighty Me in 2012. Her contribution in European Union Project like Hug me, Entten tentten, Face Your fears and Smile is highly commendable.

A Neuropsychiatric coach from Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, she is a Licentiate of Philosophy and Art Education from University of Jyvaskyla. She has also done her studies on Trainers Training Programme ‘Aseman Lapset’ in Helsinki and laid her path in Empowering People to Development in their profession in Helsinki from Aalto University. She is an accomplished polyglot having expertise in languages like English, Swedish, German and French. She is a member of Curriculum reform, PEDA (Pedagogical development team in Mikkeli), PETRA – a project based on the development of Basic education and a member of development group in Siekkila Primary School.
Ms Stella Fernandez

Ms Stella Fernandez shares the vision of producing true Singaporeans with sound values. For the past fifty two years of her teaching career, she has, with a genuine love for her pupils shared her life with a passion. She has touched the lives of her pupils nurturing in them a spirit of innovation and enterprise. She builds up their self-esteem, by listening to their problems and enforcing good study skills. Her teaching skills and expertise tempered with her learning experiences create innovative and impactful lessons infused with National Education values and school core values.

Her café-styled classroom with creative display of pupils’ work invites pupils to a bright and cheery classroom that encourages and motivates them to give of their best. Her classroom is a conducive learning environment where pupils are involved in experimentation, and independent thought and discovery and being analytical, methodical and focused in pursuing the goals and targets she helps them set for themselves. She has placed great emphasis on multi-disciplinary approaches to learning and has focused on grooming leadership talent. Her efforts have inspired her peers and colleagues to do likewise for their classrooms.

Her Pr 4 pupils who collaborated with her in designing and operating ‘The Creative Classroom’ were the members in the S3 Cluster pupils’ WIT ‘Maximising Pupil Participation in Classroom Design.’ Their outstanding presentation earned them a place as the finalist in the 5th National Pupil WITs Convention 2004. She presented her Creative class findings for STU Conference - Philosophy in Schools : Developing a Community of Inquiry 2006 and MOE ExCEL Fest 2006. She was also the facilitator and co presenter for research paper “The Creative Classroom’ for International Conference on Education (Redesigning Pedagogy: research, policy, practice ) 2007 and Creative Thinking Classroom at APERA Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association Conference 2008. AT present she is providing her services to CHIJ Our Lady of Good Counsel, Singapore.

Dr. Deepesh Chandrasekharan

Dr. Deepesh C is Assistant Professor at the SSN College of Engineering, Chennai. He taught English for eleven years in leading schools in Delhi and in Doha before pursuing a PhD in English (ELT). His PhD was in the broad area of language for empowerment, and he is interested in Critical Pedagogy, Critical Language Awareness, multilingual studies, and issues of language and power. He has an MA each in Linguistics (JNU) and in English (Madras Univ) and has qualified for UGC's NET in both subjects. He has several publications to his credit, has presented papers at several international and national conferences and has been conducting workshops for practising teachers for over five years now.

Ms Nita Ganguly

Nita Ganguly an Educator, Environmentalist, Climate Leader, Mentor and an Author.

She has been an educator for over 26 years, who has won several National and State awards, including national winner of Rustam Irani Foundation’s ‘’Best Teachers award for Excellence in Education” in 2004 and “Excellence in Teaching Award in Innovative Teaching Practices” in 2010. She has also been the Headmistress of Army Public School in Roorkee and Lucknow.

In 2008, the former Vice President of USA Mr Al Gore and the founder of The Climate Reality Project (TCRP) along with his team selected her for the Climate Change certified training program held in New Delhi. Ever since that day she has not looked back and has reached out to both defense personals and civil societies including the rag pickers through more than 80 CR presentations and hands-on workshops. 

Her profile as a Climate Leader was put up on "Victory wall" of The Climate Project Asia Pacific Summit in Jakarta 2011.

She authored the UNESCO report on ‘GREEN SCHOOL PROJECT’ for Maldives Govt. on behalf of The Climate Project Foundation in Oct 2015.

Nita was invited by TCRP  to represent South East Asia, to go live from Delhi at the 24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth: The WORLD IS WATCHING, on Nov 14, 2015 fortnight before the COP-21 held in Paris.

On 6th Dec 2016 she was selected again to represented INDIA as a Climate leader in the Global Broadcasting event of the 24 Hours of Reality: The Road Forward. Hosted by former Vice President of USA Mr Al Gore, founder of The Climate Reality Project.

She has authored a children’s book ‘POLY TRAP’ that was released on 19th Aug 2016 by Rupa Publications. Her aim is to sensitize young minds towards various environmental issues and BE THE CHANGE. Five more such books are in the pipeline.

She believes that people can’t be forced to adopt a certain attitudes unless they embrace a sense of responsibility and accountability to protect the environment.

Ms Mary Pearce

Mary Pearce is a Master Trainer for Global Classroom Pvt Ltd, Lucknow,  a world class curricula / learning systems developed by Dr Sunita Gandhi based on worldwide research and evidence. She (and her husband, James) frequently travel in India, training teachers how to use these curricula which employ important new techniques. While doing this, she adds her subject / skill expertise - handwriting. 

She is passionate about teaching teachers the amazing effects of handwriting, as it is a critical element in all intelligent societies. Her interest in handwriting began while obtaining a teaching degree in Utah, USA in 2010. Mary and James have 9 children and homeschooled them in academics, music, and vocational training for 25 years. She built her own Montessori equipment for Pre-primary as well as teaching her children until class 12.

Mr Ranjan Kumar Mitter

Mr Ranjan K. Mitter is the Secretary of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture, an eminent non-profit educational, cultural, social and research institution in Kolkata. Concurrently, he is also Principal of The Future Foundation School. Mr Mitter has also been a member of the Standing Committee on Examinations of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations since 2002 and has catalysed a number of teacher training initiatives from the Council.

Mr Mitter holds teaching positions at the Management Centre for Human Values, Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta,  IIM Ranchi, IIM Shillong, IIM Rohtak, MICA and Gitam University. In November 2014, Mr. Mitter was given the Dewang Mehta Award for Best Indian Professor for Corporate Social Responsibility.

Mr  Mitter also co-directed Training Programmes on “Educational Leadership Skills” for Heads of CISCE Schools, at IIM Calcutta. Ever since its inception Mr Ranjan K. Mitter has been a member of the Regional Advisory Committee of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and is also on the Governing Body of The Institute of Business Management run by National Council of Education. Mr Mitter is closely associated with the Fair Trade Movement and is President of Sasha EDF, a fair trade NGO in Eastern India.

Mr Mitter is also a member of the Corporate Citizenship Sub-committee set up by the Bengal
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has lectured for two successive years on Business Ethics at the European Summer School for Advanced Management, Aarhus, Denmark.

In the past Mr Mitter has held top management positions in Indian industry in organizations like
Philips, Titan, Shaw Wallace and Polaroid. Mr Mitter’s services have been sought by leading national and international business schools and he has addressed various national and international fora of repute.

Mr Mitter did his schooling from St. Xavier's Collegiate School and is an engineering graduate from Jadavpur University. He did his Masters' in Engineering from BITS, Pilani and his Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and has to his credit a Bachelor of Education degree from IGNOU.

Mr J B Singh

Mr J B Singh is an eminent academician. He is currently involved in mentoring Principals and presenting papers at numerous Principals’ meetings.

Mr J B Singh matriculated from Woodlands High School in Pietermaritzburg and received Junior Secondary Education Diploma from Springfield College of Education . He started his career as Level of Educator at Stanger Secondary School and then went on to become the Head of Department of Languages – Mount Edgecomb Secondary School. He also acted in the capacity of Deputy Principal - East view Primary school and Principal - Stanger High School.

Mr J B Singh has also been involved in Poverty alleviation and several community development programmes, and has served on Board of Management – Kwa Dukuza child and Family welfare Society.

He is also an avid sportsperson and has represented his province in Athletics at the South African Championship and has been the founder member of Dukuza Golf Club and Kwa Dukuza Atheletic Club.

Ms Varsha Shashikant Naik

Ms Varsha Shashikant Naik is an accomplished pre primary school teacher having vast experience of working at several prestigious schools of UAE. Presently she is working in the capacity of KG and Pre Primary supervisor Abu Dhabi Indian School, Branch – 1, Al Wathba.

Ms Varsha Naik completed her graduation from the University of Mumbai majoring in Chemistry. She also holds Post Graduate Diploma in Teacher Training (TTE) and has to her credit Bachelor of Education degree also. During her tenure as a teacher she has participated in several seminars and workshop also.
