2nd International Conference of Pre-Primary Principal

INVITATION

Dear Sir/Madam

The importance of Pre-Primary education lies in the fact that it lays the foundation of the future education of the child. Pre-Primary is the stage when a child learns the alphabet, numbers and rhymes. The Montessori, Nursery and Kindergarten stages are designed to familiarize the kids with the written word. It has been felt that Pre-Primary is the stage when utmost care is required to create the child's interest in reading and writing. Well trained teachers who have got a fair knowledge of child psychology should alone be entrusted with the responsibility of educating the Pre-Primary kids. The Pre-Primary teachers would do a better job if the head of the team, Principal or Headmistress are more qualified and experienced to guide them. Hence, the school has felt the need to keep the Pre-Primary heads and teachers well-informed about the new models of Pre-Primary education followed in advanced countries for better understanding of the child studying in Indian schools.

The City Montessori School has been organizing multifarious seminars, workshops and conferences to familiarize teachers with the latest models of child education practiced in the world. With this objective in view, the CMS Quality Assurance and Inspection Department is organising the Second International Conference of Pre-Primary Principals of the world.

Latest available teaching aids as well as materials prepared by teachers of participating schools will be displayed on this occasion in a grand Pre-Primary Exhibition.

Schools desirous of putting up their stalls are invited to display their Pre-Primary teaching aids in the exhibition. Tables for display of Pre-Primary 'teaching aids and materials will be provided to the participating schools free of charge on first come, first serve basis. Interested schools may inform the undersigned at the earliest so that we are able to arrange for tables according to the space available in the exhibition area.

Case studies and papers on Pre-Primary teaching methods may be submitted in advance by 1st March, 2008 for participation by the participating schools. The Selection Committee will inform the participants whose submissions are approved for presentation. Entries will be accepted only on the official school letterhead showing the telephone, fax, email and mobile numbers and school website address, if any. Powerpoint presentation facilities will be provided.

It would be of interest to the Principals to know that the City Montessori School lays utmost emphasis on moral and spiritual upliftment of the child right from the Pre-Primary stage itself, through creation of a spiritually surcharged educational environment. CMS is convinced that only a spiritually educated person can improve the quality of his/her life. This daily practice has produced remarkable results. The students have developed sharper understanding and have experienced new phases of transformation of intellect and intelligence. They have become better citizens and have started loving and respecting all the religions of the world as their own. They have developed a broad international outlook in treating entire humanity as one global family. In this scheme of things, race, region or religion does not come in their way of forging a global tie.

The foundation of City Montessori School was laid with the motto of JAI JAGAT (Glory be to the World) and it has become an article of faith for its students. The school philosophy of Jai Jagat taught by Mahatma Gandhi and his disciple Saint Vinoba Bhave, has been derived from India's noble ideal of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam (the earth is but one country and mankind its citizens). We pursue the conviction that the purpose of education is to establish a divine civilization on earth which is also the only purpose of all the religions of the world.

We take pleasure in inviting you to participate in this conference along with a maximum of two Pre-Primary teachers and hope you shall kindly make it convenient to attend. The testimony of the success of the Conference is the fact that it witnessed participation of 250 delegates from all over the world.
There is no registration fee for delegates. Food, accommodation and local transportation will be provided free of charge to all the delegates. Entries will be accepted on first come first serve basis.
Pre-Primary teachers can attend only if they accompany their Principal. Teachers without their Principal are not allowed to participate in the conference alone.

For further information please write to or call the undersigned.

Yours sincerely
