1. The team should reach the venue latest by 9th September 2011.
2. There is no registration fee for the event.
3. Only Travel expenses will have to be borne by the participating teams; board and lodging will be taken
care of by the organizers.
4. Six participants (3 in Junior and 3 in the Senior Category) accompanied by the Principal of the institution (who would
be the Guest of Honour), and a Geography teacher (as the team leader) would make up a team.
5. Additional members, including infants and children will not be accommodated, due to shortage of
accommodation. In case the team wishes to extend its stay after 13th September 2011, some alternative
arrangements will have to be made by the team itself.
6. All the entries submitted for Geofest'11 will become the property of the organizers.
7. All queries should be made at 0522 – 2330012 from 10 am to 12 noon.

| Rules for Participation |

1. National Geography Olympiad and GEOFEST International are two separate events which will be held
simultaneously.
2. The participating team must comprise six participants only - 3 in Junior (who are eligible to participate in
NGO also) and 3 in Senior Category.
3. Once registered , the team stands obliged to participate.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR Geofest International –
• The event will have competition at two levels (Junior category & Senior category)
• Junior participants should be born on or after 30th October, 1997.
• Senior participants should be of standard XI and XII.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR National Geography Olympiad
• Participants should be of Indian Nationality.
• Participants should be born on or after 30th October 1997. |

| A Special Note for Team Leaders |

1. Kindly go through the brochure thoroughly and check the spellings of the names of the participants before filling up the registration form.
2. Following events will be held simultaneously: Geotech & Geotalk (Seniors). Kindly select the participants accordingly.
3. Teams participating in Geotalk must reach the venue by 9th September, 2011 for the Selection Round One.
4. On reaching the venue, the teams must report to the Control Room, within an hour, and get themselves registered.
5. The team members, along with their leader, will not be allowed to meet any friends or relatives during their stay.
6. Neither the participants nor the team leader will be permitted to stay in their rooms during the events.
7. Team leaders must assemble with their teams in the Auditorium sharp at 7:45 am for the Prayer Assembly.
8. Everyday before going for breakfast, the key of the room should be deposited at the Reception.
9. Students will wear full school uniform at all times during the competitions. They must wear their identity badges all through the day.
10. Kindly send your Registration Form at the earliest, as the rooms will be allotted on first-come-first-serve basis.
11. Teams will not be registered over phone. To avoid any in-convenience, kindly make sure that the Registration Form reaches the Convenor latest by 16th August, 2011.
12. Kindly mention your email id so that necessary details of Geotalk may be sent to you.
13. Teams interested in arriving before 9th September or leaving after 13th September will have to make their own arrangements for their stay.
14. For security reasons, the organizers will not be in a position to allow visitors, individual trips to the city or any such venture which requires the team/members to leave the premises of the Venue. Kindly do not approach the authorities to seek permission for the same.
15. Team leaders are solely responsible for the safety and security of their team members during the stay.
16. Team leaders will be personally responsible for the conduct of the team members. Any breach of discipline or violation of rules & regulations may lead to disqualification of the team. |
