Mahanagar Campus III is rendering a valuable service to humanity and to this good earth, by creating awareness about the necessity of saving the atmosphere and environment from sliding into the abyss of pollution and contamination, by organizing GEOFEST International regularly for the past several years. Due to its sincere approach and well meaning intent, GEOFEST International has become most popular among students and teachers of India and overseas.

The event is always well attended by the participants from all corners of our country and the world. This, in itself, is proof enough to indicate its ever growing popularity. The reasons for it are not far to seek. Now, everyone is aware about the specter of the earth going the way other planets of the Solar System are, if atmosphere and environment is not protected from man's un-thoughtful actions of fiddling with them.

GEOFEST International 2011 will bring to the fore the immediate efforts needed to checkmate the growing pollution in the environment. The younger generation will come to know that it is living at a time when it should join hands in global efforts to save the earth from becoming uninhabitable. We believe, that this is a timely reminder to the people of the Earth, and specially the youngsters, that they should refrain from doing anything that may add to the pressure on atmosphere and environment.

We are very happy to know that Mahanagar Campus III will bring out a brochure on GEOFEST International 2011 to highlight the importance of this event. The brochure will further clarify the dangerous phase through which our good Earth is passing at present. We know, that the convenor of GEOFEST International 2011 and her colleagues are making the event successful with a clear message to the people of the Earth that, come what may, the Earth must be saved from becoming a desert. We admire the efforts of Mahanagar Campus III in organizing this timely event and congratulate them for the same.
