“Role of Teacher
Guardian in classes
VI to VIII”— Sanjay Srivastava
A vital
link between the parents, student and teachers, a
teacher-guardian acts as a mentor and support for the
student, which is critical in formatics years. Given the
transformation that a student goes through in class 6-8
having a teacher guardian as a mentor helps a lot in
discussing problems. Many a time, competitive pressures bog
down even a bright student. Having a Teacher-Guardian helps
in tackling such performance pressures.
Specifically in my case, Mrs Vandana
Gaur helped me develop self confidence and provided much
needed support to perform well in academics and in other
spheres. She used to visit my house to discuss studies and
all round development with my parents. Looking back, I
realize, such visits not only let my parents focus on right
areas for my development but also developed a life long
relationship of teacher-student with her.
The vital moral DNA of any
individual is cast during formative years and here the role
of teacher guardian becomes very important. ‘CMS values’
of care, love and ‘Jai Jagat’ are best instilled in
students through personalized attention to each student in
the form of ‘Teacher Guardian’.
When I introspect on my career till
date and try to find out a few critical factors that helped
me do well in my professional life a few things that come to
my mind are
— Unrelenting support from parents
— Value system formed during
school days
— Hard work
A Teacher-guardian’s role in
developing proper value system in the student is most
important. Fortunately I was with a school that focused on
it. Fortunately I was with teachers who spent their time and
energy in developing students.
Thank
you CMS. Thank you Mom and Dad, thank you teacher, thank you
Vandana Ma’am and thank you Makhija Sir for making me what
I am today.

Sanjay Srivastava
