“My school days at CMS”- Dr Raj Mehrotra

It is a matter of immense pleasure, privilege and honour for me to be conferred upon the esteemed Fellow of CMS Award for which I shall ever remain grateful to the school authorities. This act of kindness from the Hon’ble Founder-Manager of the school shall go a long way in being source of light for me in guiding myself through the intricate pathways of truthfulness and serving more and more people in my life.

I always feel pride in being a part of huge CMS family that has always been a great source of inspiration, encouragement and strength to me. The high moral values, self-discipline and manners inculcated in us during our stay at the school  have always been a strong guiding force. It is the value system inherited from here which is now helping me out to make critical decisions and stand through the hard times. I owe so much to my ALMA MATER that it is impossible for me to repay it.

We, at CMS, were always encouraged to experiment and be creative. Our teachers used to be always behind us to provide useful tips and much desired valuable suggestions to our day-to-day problems in different areas of studies. Their evaluation and advice showed us the right kind of advice in various disciplines and achieve high ranking. Never did we feel overlooked or neglected by the graceful teachers who always wanted us to excel in everything. On several occasions, the teachers used to overstay much beyond school hours for guiding and making us achieve high targets set for us. Even the problems, which were not directly related to our studies, were given a patient hearing because of which we always felt closer to our Teachers. These sweet thoughts of yesteryears refresh us and   make us feel to bow before them for all that we have received.

It is  here besides gaining quality education, the importance of building all round character, personality and values were taught to us which not only broadened our horizons but also equipped us with an international outlook and global vision. The love and affection received by us from everybody  always prompted us to improve our performance The big posters displayed on our class room walls saying DISCIPLINE FIRST ,STUDIES AFTERWARDSand the memories of the Morning prayer with five minutes speech by our own fellow students  still inspire me a lot. The novel thoughts imbibed through such kind of platforms have laid down solid foundation in us which is now acting as a key for achieving success in all our endeavours.

I would like to thank all the  school authorities, principals and teachers ever and ever again for giving us all that isneeded to become a good citizen and to achieve high goals.

It shall be a privilege to be associated with the school forever and serve it at every conceivable opportunity.
