It
is with utmost happiness we welcome our ex-student of
Station Road, Mr.Gyaneshwar Singh, IPS, who has had a
distinguished record in academics and professional career.
Mr.
Singh had his early education in CMS Station Road Branch
from 1980 to 1983 which, to quote his own words, paved the
way for his selection for All India Residential Scholarship
and further achievements.
As a
student of Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, Mr. Singh
topped the ISC batch, winning a gold medal. Thereafter he
did his Masters course in Public Administration from the
University of Lucknow in 1995.
Though he was selected for the post
of Pilot Officer in the Indian Air Force, Asstt. Commandant
for CRPF/BSF/ITBP, IAS (Allied Services) earlier he did not
join any of them for his aim was to become an IPS Officer.
He cleared the Civil Services Examinations in 1999 and opted
for the Indian Police Service.
During his training at the Lal
Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration,
Mussorrie, he was awarded
Gold Medal for being the Best Officer Trainee. At the
National Police Academy, Hyderabad, also he was awarded the
Prime Minister’s Baten and Home Minister’s Pistol for
being the Best Officer Trainee.
He topped the 1999 IPS Batch and was
awarded Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Medal and Trophy for his
exemplary record and conduct.
A good player of Cricket, Tennis
& Chess Gyaneshwar is presently posted at Dalhousie in
Himachal Pradesh as Asstt. Superintendent of Police.
In recognition of his proud
achievements the City Montessori School is conferring on him
the CMS Honorary Award of ‘The Fellow of CMS’ this day,
the 15th
December, 2002, as a token of
admiration for him.

healthy life in the service of the society and for the cause
of world unity and world peace.
