The idea took birth as a brainchild in the dynamic and innovative mind of Mrs. S. Mansharamani, Principal, CMS, RDSO Branch. Being an athlete, the idea came to her as a gleam to promote sports events. The concept was encouraged and augmented by the global visionary and ambassador for world peace, Mr. Jagdish Gandhi, Founder-Manager, City Montessori School. Sports, as Mr. Jagdish Gandhi believes, are inspiring means to promote brotherhood and cultural affinity.

The First EXSPO was inaugurated by Mr. Kapil Dev, 'The Century Player', and graced by P. T. Usha, Shiny Wilson, Bahadur Prasad etc. 400 participants and officials from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and India participated in it.

The Second EXSPO was inaugurated on 28th October 2003 by Mr. Dara Singh, a former world champion (wrestling) and Member of Parliament. Mr. Ajay Jadeja, Ms Shiny Wilson, Ms Wilson Cherian, Mr. Bahadur Prasad, Mr. Ajit Wadekar, Mr. Jafar lqbal and others graced the occasion that inspired sportswomen and sportsmen. More than 600 participants and officials from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and India participated.
The Third EXSPO was held from 29th October to 3rd November 2004 and was inaugurated by Mr. Francis Fanthome, Chief Executive and Secretary, ICSE and ISC Board, New Delhi. Mr. Vikram Kaul, President, Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Trust, New Delhi, was the special guest of honour. More than 1000 athletes and officials from Pakistan, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and all over India participated in this school Olympiad. Mr. P Gopichand, Mr. Abhinn Shyam Gupta, Mr. Bharat Thakur, Ms Sunita Rani, Mr. Bahadur Prasad, Mr. Shakti Singh graced the occasion.

The Fourth EXSPO, organised from 25th to 29th October, 2005 promoted international understanding, friendship and brotherhood. Eminent personalities in the sports world like Mr.. Rajeev Shukla — Vice President, BCCI & MP, Ms Aparna Popat, Arjun Awardee. Badminton, Mr. Gyanendra Pandey - National level -cricketer, Ms Kavya Gupta - swimming champion, Sahaj Grover - World Chess Champion and many others graced EXSPO 2005. 10 nations, 66 teams, 2 age groups and 982 participants participated in the event.

The Fifth EXSPO ,Sports-Mega Event, organised from October 28, 2006 to November 1, 2006 sent an appeal to the all the citizens of this planet to participate in the mission of “May Peace Prevail on earth” and promoted global brotherhood and amity. CMS got an opportunity to welcome 1173 participants and World famous luminaries like Mr. Milkha Singh (Flying Sikh) Director Sports, Punjab, Mr. Paramjeet Singh, Judge (World Karate Do Federation), Mst. Budhia (Wonder Boy, Athletics) with Mr. Biranchi Das (Judo), Mr. M. K. Kaushik (Dronacharya Award + Arjun Awardee), Mr. A. P. Subaiya (Olympian, Hockey), Mrs. Helan Merry (Arjun Awardee and Captain Indian Women Hockey), Ms. Renu Bala, Gold Medalist, Weight Lifter, Common Wealth Games), Mrs. Manjeet Kaur (Arjun Awardee), Ms. Rucha Pujari (Asian Youth Chess Champion), Mr. Praveen Thipsay (International Grand Master), Padamshree Mrs. Bhagyashree Thipsay (International Grand Master), Mrs. Jwala Gutta (International Badminton Player). The chief guest Mr. R. K. Choudhary (Minister of Sports, Government of Uttar Pradesh) declared the EXSPO meet open. The participants from various countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and India rendered their partaking and efforts in the events like Athletics, Chess, Table Tennis, Soccer, Judo and Badminton with sportsmanship, harmony, energy, zeal and enthusiasm and carried the mission to their respective countries.
