Environment Project at CMS

Environment Project: In the year 2013-14 CMS moved forward its environmental awareness programme in all its campuses. To raise awareness and sensitize people to stop putting pollutants in the River Gomti, City Montessori School under its 'Environment Project' organised a 'Clean Gomti March' by students of class 12th in April 2013, which was flagged off by His Excellency the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Within the campuses, students and staff planted various species of saplings (total 1130 plants) with great zeal and enthusiasm. Environment Soft board were placed in all campuses for spreading environment education through display of news, posters and press clippings. Nature clubs were formed in campuses and these clubs visited various green parks in Lucknow, and some campuses had the excitement of going to the Sandi Bird Sanctuary. Water and Energy audit teams were formed and the students actively participated in these audits. Campuses celebrated Van Mahotsav, Earth Day and World Ozone Day in their campuses.
