COFAS - Discover the Power of Artificial Intelligence

City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar campus I is organizing 21st International Computer Olympiad this year from 26th November to 29th November 2022 to bring together brilliant young minds from all across the globe to demonstrate their technical and creative skills.

Artificial Intelligence today is a technology that is transforming every walk of life. It is a wide-ranging tool that enables people to rethink how we integrate information, analyze data, and use the resulting insights to improve decision-making. Artificial intelligence is shaping the future of humanity across nearly every industry. It is already the primary driver of emerging technologies like big data, robotics and IoT, and it will continue to act as a technological innovator for the foreseeable future.

COFAS 2022 hence seeks toDiscover the Power of Artificial Intelligence and strives to explain Artificial Intelligence to an audience of policymakers, opinion leaders, and interested observers, and demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence is already altering the world and raising important questions for society, the economy, and governance.

The competitive events of COFAS 2022 aim to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and spark creative, innovative, and audacious demonstrations of the technology that are truly scalable to solve grand societal challenges.

Each team’s technologies will be evaluated across the achieved technical impact, evidenced real-world impact, scalability of real-world impact, and ethics and safety.

COFAS 2022 is a platform for students to explore and innovate the judicious use of Artificial Intelligence and contribute to the growth of progressive society with a better tomorrow for mankind.

We accord a special invitation to the principals heads of the Institutions to be special guests of Honor.

I look forward to the enthusiastic participation in COFAS 2022 by a student team from your school which would comprise a maximum of 10 students and two teachers as the team leader.

Our presence and whole-hearted participation will make international 2000 a grand success.

Rules and Guidelines

General

  1. The event is being organized for students in two categories- Senior and Junior:
    1. The Junior category will include participants from Classes VII to IX. (12-15 years)
    2. The Senior category will include participants from Classes X to XII. (16-19 years)
  2. Only one entry per event will be allowed per school.
  3. The names of the participants will not be changed after the submission of the form.
  4. Each team will comprise of 5 Senior, 5 Junior students and a team leader.
  5. We accord a special invitation to the Principal/Head of the Institution to be our special Guest of Honour for the Event.
  6. The registration form will be considered valid only if it is complete in all respects and is duly forwarded by the Head of the institution.
  7. The organizers will provide accommodation to all out – station and international teams (maximum 10 participants and 2 accompanying teachers)
  8. There will be no registration fee for International, National and Local teams.
  9. In case a team reaches the venue before 26th November, 2022 or extends its stay beyond 29th November, 2022 some alternative arrangements will have to be made by the team itself.
  10. Additional members, including infants and children will not be accommodated due to shortage of space.
  11. Every registered school will receive a school code.
  12. All outstation teams must attend the press conference and photo session to be held on 26th November, 2022 at 1:30 pm and are required to schedule their travel plans accordingly.
  13. Participating teams should carry their school flag to the inaugural ceremony.
  14. Outstation teams will not be permitted to leave the premises during the days of the competition.
  15. The teams must carry their own articles and requirements for the competitions.
  16. Wake-up announcements will be made at 6:00 am
  17. It is compulsory for all the teams to attend the Prayer Assembly, to confirm their daily attendance.
  18. All team leaders must adhere to the time schedule and ensure that their presence is registered 20 minutes prior to the commencement of the event.
  19. The team leaders must ensure that the team stays back till the end of all performances, as it will encourage others and instill positive feelings of friendship and mutual respect.
  20. Things to be submitted at the time of Registration.
    (a) CD of ‘FOOTAGE’
    (b) Music piece of Costek should be in the form of CD/Pen Drive
    (c) Multimedia for Rendition should be in form of CD/Pen Drive.
    (d) Write-up of 200 words giving the gist of the presentation for Rendition.
  21. Only registered participants will be allowed for the competition.
  22. The results of all the competitions will be announced on the day of Prize Distribution i.e on the 29th of November, 2022.
  23. The Judges’ decision would be final.
  24. Each participant should be in their School uniform for all the competitions except for the events where they have to wear costumes.
  25. All team leaders and participants must adhere to the time schedule.

Awards and Merits:

  1. Confirmation form of all participants must be submitted by 10th September, 2022.
  2. Registration forms must reach the organizers latest by 10th October, 2022.
  3. Outstation participants will be required to send their complete travel details by 31st October, 2022 so that the arrangements for their transport to and from the airport/railway station can be made.
  4. All local teams must register themselves on 25th November, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Registration counter.
  5. All teams must attend the inaugural ceremony to be held on 26th November, 2022 and the prize distribution ceremony on 29th November, 2022 at the World Unity Convention Centre, City Montessori School, Kanpur Road, Lucknow.

AMENITIES:

  1. Boarding and lodging will be at our international students’ hostel at CMS, Kanpur Road, Lucknow.
  2. Facilities available to all outstation participants will include:
    (a) Round the clock paid public call booths offering local, STD, ISD and e-mail services.
    (b) First aid at the venue.
    (c) Arrangement for washing and ironing of clothes.

Awards and Merits:

Point System: Teams/participants will be awarded points as follows:

First 5 points
Second 3 points
Third 1 points

* The championship trophy will be awarded to the team that earns the maximum points and the runner up trophy will be given to the next best team.

Individual Awards:

In addition to the BEST TEAM TROPHIES, individual trophies and certificates will be awarded to all the winners and runners up in individual events.

Participation Certificates

The certificates of participation shall be awarded to all the participating team members.
