The 4th International Youth Convention on Commerce and Economics (IYCCE‐2017) organized by CMS Station Road Campus had a magnificent start on 28 October 2017 at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium with a scintillating educational‐cultural programme organised by CMS students in the honour of the participating teams from Sri Lanka, Nepal and various states of India. The beautiful glimpse of Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam amidst the Indian folk dances and music captivated the audience. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr Sarvendra Vikram Bahadur Singh, Director, Basic Education, UP, by lighting the lamp of learning.
Over the next 3 days, students from different countries of the world showcased their talents through participation in various interesting contests including Buiz‐Quiz (Business quiz); Bull Vs Bear (Debate); B‐Plan (Create Innovative Business plan); Fintoons (Financial cartoons); Com.Net (Subject Knowledge Tests) and E‐Manage (Eco friendly industry presentation); Sci‐Tools (Making working scientific model); Entrepreneur Expression (Inspirational & Motivational Corporate speeches) and Sound of Silence (Acting through expressions) etc. Apart from this, experts from the fields of commerce and economics delivered enlightening speeches for the student participants.
The 4‐day event came to a grand conclusion with a prize distribution‐cum‐closing ceremony held at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium on 31 October 2017. The overall championship went to Sunbeam School, Bhagwanpur, Varanasi while Vig English School, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand was the runner up. Chief Guest, Mr Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice‐Chancellor, APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, gave away prizes to the winners.
CMS Rajajipuram Campus I organised 'Mothers Day and Grandparents Day' at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium on 3 November 2017. Large number of parents and grandparents gathered to watch the scintillating educational‐cultural programme presented by the students in their honour. The celebration began with World Unity Prayer and All Relation Prayer and qawwali "Apne maa-baap ka tu dil na dukha" earned loud applause. Items based on grandparents were praised much. The message of World Unity was spread through World Parliament while the tiny‐tots of pre‐primary won hearts of the audience through presentations of cultural items. CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi was the Chief Guest of the programme convened by Principal, CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs Nisha Pandey.
Kindergarten students of CMS Aliganj Campus II won the first prize in Synthesis & Cross Rhythm – Group Rhyme at Convergence organized by Delhi Public School.
Shreiya Agarwal of Class XI, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II, won the second prize in Eco Jam at Ingenium organized by La Martiniere College.
Akashini Singh of Class II CMS Aliganj Campus II, won the third prize in fancy dress competition,
Incognito at Convergence organized by Delhi Public School.
Hashmeet Singh of CMS Kanpur Road Campus won the silver medal in junior boys category at ASISC Lawn Tennis Tournament 2017 held at St.Peter's College, Agra.
Diya Agarwal, Class VI student of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I bagged the first prize in the interschool solo dance competition organized under the aegis of Search Foundation and Cultural Department of UP.
Ujjwal Gaurav of Class IX, Cambridge section, won the first prize in the event 'Let's talk for the voices unheard' organized by Camlin Kokuyo. The event was organised with a view to sensitize people about the plight of the animals.
Samriddhi Srivastava of Class IX, CMS Kanpur Road Campus, won the first prizes in 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle and 40x100m medley relay at swimming competitions organized by UP Sports Association. She won the individual championship trophy in U‐17 junior category.
Shashwat Tripathi of CMS Aliganj Campus I secured the All India Rank 34 in Terre Green Olympiad organized by the Ministry of Environment, Govt. of India. Over 40,000 students had participated in this online quiz and only 500 qualified for the National level.
Prateeksha Pandey and Divyanka Chaurasia of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I respectively won the first and
second prize of inter‐school handwriting competition respectively organized under the aegis of Classmate Co. Ltd.
The 8‐member students’ team of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I comprising Srishti Verma, Akshara Trivedi, Khushi, Anshi, Ayush Gupta, Akshat, Suyash and Shobhit won the first prize in district level group singing competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad. Students of several prestigious schools had participated in the competition.
