CMS creates a better future for all children by maximising their opportunities
through quality education and initiatives for unity and development
The 15‐member delegation of CMS Aliganj Campus I returned from Singapore after attending 'International Maths and Science Olympiad (IMSO‐2017)' was accorded a warm welcome by CMS teachers and parents at the Amausi airport. In this Olympiad, CMS students Pranjal Giri, Harshit Kushwaha, Aarush Singh and Aditya Pandey won four bronze medals in Science stream competitions. IMSO‐2017 was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Singapore and Nus High School of Maths and Science, Singapore in which young mathematicians from 22 countries participated. The Olympiad aimed at improving primary students' innovative skills and developing inter‐cultural relations among the students of various countries. The delegation comprised student members Yastika Singh, Amogh Anant, Nakshatra Vidyarthi, Gaurangi Pathak, Aradhya Pandey, Yash Upadhyay, Jaya Singh, Pranjal Giri, Harshit Kushwaha, Aarush Singh, Aditya Pandey and Diva Chandra led by the senior teacher Ms Ritu Tripathi assisted by the teachers Ms Neelam Singh and Ms Rakhee Chaturvedi as deputy leaders.
A 12‐member delegation of CMS Kanpur Road Campus departed for Europe on 30 November on an 8‐day trip under the International Award for Young People (IAYP) Program. CMS students will be touring through Germany, Austria, Hungary and Czech Republic to learn about the educational, historical and natural landmarks and also experience culture, custom, food habits and languages there. The delegation comprises students, Aditya Agarwal, Aniket Sharma, Gagandeep Singh, Raghav Chandra, Raghav Tripathi, Aastha Bhaskar, Varandeep Kaur, Anurag Singh, Saksham Chaturvedi and Arsh Saluja, led by senior teacher, Ms Shipra Bajpai and teacher Ms Swarnlata, as the deputy leader.
During this visit, CMS students will be visiting Marian column, Nymphenburg Palace, Schonbrunn Palace, Parliament building, Margaret island, Fishermen's Bastion, Chain‐suspension Bridge, St Martin's cathedral, Grassalkovich Palace (Slovakia's White House), Gothic church, Medieval Astronomical clock and many other interesting places.
Eleven Principals of various CMS campuses participated in the Diamond Jubilee (60th) Annual Conference of Association of School for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC) held at the Hotel Clark Amer in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The CMS Principals shared the CMS pedagogy with Principals of various other ICSE schools participating in the conference exchanged their ideas for improvement as per global requirements with a view to develop students' potential and motivate them to channelize their energy for the welfare of the humanity. Approximately 1500 Principals of ISC and ICSE schools across India attended this conference organised by ASISC.
CMS Founder Manager, Dr Jagdish Gandhi was invited in this conference as the jury member to award Derozio Award of ASISC which is considered as a highly respected award in the field of education. CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II is organizing the four‐day 3rd International Environment Olympiad (IEO‐2017) from 9 to 12 December 2017 at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. About 500 students from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and various states of India are arriving here to participate in this olympiad. This information was given by the Convenor of International Environment Olympiad (IEO‐2017) and Senior Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus, Ms Manjit Batra at a press conference held at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium on 28 November 2017. Co‐Convenor and Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II, Mrs Sangeeta Banergee highlighted the various events of IEO‐2017 and said that there will be a series of interesting contests viz., Declamation, Choreography, Imagineering my Future, Environmental Quiz, Clay Modeling, Court Room Drama, Street Play, Shoot Out and Future Friendly School etc to test the students' skills and imbibe in them a love and concern for the Mother Earth. Besides, it would be platform for them to learn about each other's cultures and customs, leading to World Unity and global understanding. CMS Founder Manager, Dr Jagdish Gandhi was also present at the press conference.
With another CMS alumna, Shaleen Mishra of CMS Mahanagar Campus qualifying the PCS (J) Examination 2017, CMS now has names of four former CMS students who have qualified this prestigious examination this year. Shaleen secured the 75th rank in this state level examination while the other three students were, Swarangi Shukla on first rank, Ambika Mehrotra on 39th rank and Akansha Bajpayee on 86th rank. Armed with the CMS values of World Unity, World Peace and respect for the law, these former students of CMS are committed to dispense justice and make people realize their rights and duties, thereby making the world a better place to live in.
Students of CMS Aliganj Campus I put up a grand show of talents at the 'Annual Mothers Day and Grandparents Day' held at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II auditorium for junior and senior students on 2 December and pre‐primary and primary students on 3 December 2017. Parents and grandparents were thrilled to watch the educational‐cultural programmes of students which not only showcased their multi‐sided talents in music and dance but also their innovative and creative skills. The parents and grandparents' participation in the programme was a special attraction and it greatly boosted the efforts of the students.
