CMS- City Montessori School is the world's largest city-school with 18 campuses in the city of Lucknow. The school that began with 5 children in 1959 on a borrowed capital of Rupees 300, today has over 55,000 students from Montessori to Class XII in the current session.
CMS founders, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Dr Bharti Gandhi were inspired by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and Sant Vinoba Bhave. They started CMS with vision to inspire generations of children to become socially motivated and conscious citizens of India and the world.
Their motto "Jai Jagat" has been the school's greeting from the beginning. CMS children are taught the value of 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbukum', or the 'Earth is but One country and Mankind its Citizens'.
CMS Career Counselling Cell is located at CMS Head Office. It aims to inform students about various Career options available to them after 10+2 and also about study abroad opportunities. CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I is a SAT, AP, Admission Testing Services (ATS) test centre and is now also a American College Testing (ACT) Centre. CMS is also a International Award for Young People (IAYP) centre. We also organise Careers Day and meaningful career advisory session/s for students from time to time.

Careers Day was organised by CMS Career Counselling Cell on 21 April 2019 with a purpose to give children an exposure to variety of conceivable career options at this crucial juncture of their student life.
CMS Career Counselling Cell organised a Careers Day for CMS senior students on Sunday, 21 April, 2019 at its Kanpur Road Campus. More than over fifteen hundred students from class IX to XII from twelve campuses of CMS participated in this event. It was a unique opportunity for CMS children to interact with so many different career specialists of different fields under one roof at one time. The significant aspect of the 'Careers Day' had been the presence of world class experts to guide students, teachers and parents.

CMS students are compelling applicants and successfully matriculate to universities worldwide. Study Abroad Counseling at CMS encompasses complete planning for university throughout the Senior School experience. Students have weekly meetings and receive personal attention in advisor groups and in individual appointments with the Study Abroad Counselor. Workshops, college fairs, and visits from universities are all arranged, preparing students intensively in Grades 11 and 12, with topics ranging from college research, comparison and financial aid, and information about higher-education admissions. CMS is also the centre to conduct AP, SAT, PSAT, ACT and ATS exams which are a very important aspect of Study Abroad. Now the students are not required to travel anywhere to take these exams.
