Dr Kalpana Tripathi is a visionary who knows that every child is special and endowed with unique talents. She is always encouraging and showers praise whenever due. She has been instrumental in organizing the International History Festival "Reflections" at CMS Rajendra Nagar III earlier and now she brings the same experience to CMS Mahanagar III. Without compromising in academics she nurtures the fine arts of music, dance and painting and students shine with all round personalities displaying their very best. Further, Dr Tripathi inspires the staff members to become real role models for students and maintain high standards of conduct in school as well as outside. We wish Dr Kalpana Tripathi all success in making CMS Mahanagar III a haven for students where lessons of life are learnt and bright futures are built.
The difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary is that of a little extra.
As the golden rule goes, it takes roughly over 10,000 hours of practice to achieve mastery in a field. The top musicians of any era are those who had begun to play instruments at a very young age. People whose first book becomes a suprising success, have a notable experience of years of extensive reading behind them. While people merely observe the successful moment of a personality, they fail to take into account the years spent working for achieving the expertise.
This expertise is neither a fluke, nor a gift.
Years of focus on perfecting an art often results in what we call as "genius".
Unfortunately, times are such that they offer no scope for such a gradual process. Now, children give into the whole plethora of distraction that fills their lives: smartphones, tablets, internet, TV. Each one of these robs the child of the precious time he could have utilized otherwise in building a skill.
Research has shown that the softer values that define a successful life like empathy, compassion, ability to see a pattern among complex ideas, capability to derive inferences from facts, etc are slow values that take a whole range of experiences to get cemented in a child's mind.
There is just no time to develop such qualities that give meaning to our existence. Even in the professional world, successful are those whose life speaks of a disciplined, focused work approach. Complemented by a passion in the field chosen, this approach can bring in wonders which others call success.
At Mahanagar , we try to do just that. We are committed to working for excellence. In the last session, thanks to the hard work of students and teachers, we got excellent results in ICSE and ISC. 241 students had appeared for ISC board exams and by the grace of Almighty, all passed with First division. 165 students scored 90 % and above. 30 students scored in the range of 96 to 99%. In ICSE 129 students who appeared for the exam passed with First Division. 50 students scored 90 % and above. We believe that Focus is the driver of excellence and as parents and teachers we need to instill this in the minds of our children. Our education system needs to move from being textbook driven to being research driven, from a passive learning environment to active learning engagement. As you know that CMS lays emphasis on spiritual education besides material and human education. It is with the cooperation of dear parents and loving grandparents that we have been able to make them excellent human beings.
