Annual Sports Day - 21 DECEMBER 2016
CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I organised their Annual Sports Day of pre-primary and primary section with great pomp and show 21 December 2016 at PAC Ground,Mahanagar. Students mesmerized the viewers with their extraordinary sports skills spreading the message of 'India Fit & Young' on the occasion through various physical fitness activities.
The Chief Guest of the Sports Day was Mr Alok Gupta, Mission Director, NHRM. The young players and athletes eagerly participated with full vigour and effort in various sports events. They were bubbling with enthusiasm and were eager to express their talents before the parents. There was a tough competition among the students to participate in various sports events. The winners were awarded shields, medals and certificates.
7th International Young Mathematicians' Convention 2016
Around 700 young mathematicians in 24 international teams from 16 countries, including Russia, Bhutan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Brazil, Iran, Nepal, Philippines, Taiwan, UAE, Vietnam, USA, South Africa, Indonesia, Nigeria and 37 national and local teams from across the country unfolded the mysteries of mathematics at a common global platform at International Young Mathematicians' Convention 2016 organised by CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I from 2 to 5 December 2016.
Junior and senior teams of young mathematicians participated in Maths Quiz, Relay Round, Individual Contests, Team Contest, Math Jingle, Mental Calculations etc. to showcase their skills. Besides, a mathematical fair was also held for the benefit of students wherein the students learnt new tricks in mathematics. This mathematical fair was equally beneficial for the maths teachers as the different alternatives to make the subject more interesting and simple were displayed.
World renowned mathematicians Dr Simon L Chua, President, Mathematics Trainers Guild, Philippines; Prof. Wen Hsien Sun, President, Chiu Chang Mathematics Education Foundation, Taiwan and Mr Mark Saul, Director, MTCIMS, New York University, USA, were here to judge the contests and provide guidance to the budding mathematicians.
Chief Guest of the closing ceremony, Mr Rudra Pratap Singh, IAS, Housing Commissioner, UP Housing Board, honoured the prize winners with shields,awards and certificates.
